Here's a challenge - do the second bass heard in 'Walshingtin & Jayms - Atlantic' (the growl-like signature sound Jayms used to use in a lot of his tracks)
Awesome Tutorial! Thank you for making this. I've been trying to produce SA style or LowBass I've heard it called. Any tips on sound selection for drums? Programming and processing drums? Also, whats the trick to the groovy knock kick in between the main kick? Finally, your tack is great! love the vibes of the vocal and deep bass!
Thanks man! No problem! You would have to hit me up with a link for me to get an idea of the knock kick you're talking about. There are some great free sample packs available online for all types of drums, I am using the sampler inside Ableton to manipulate, program and process drums, however FL Studio also has a great sampler for drums. Alternatively, Native Instruments - Kontakt is also a great sampler and programming tool. In terms of processing, I use a lot of the native plugins or EQs on Abelton, however, Fab filter and Izotope have a great selection for processing!
This is perfect man, just what I was looking for.. Any chance you can link the project file? It helps a lot to understand the layout / mixing! Thank you !!!
Bra you know what woud make this bass perfect if you try putting some phase on one of the osc and pitching it down a oct that could give it that solid saw wave sound.
Defintely man!, the same process here will apply to any plugin/synthesiser or software you would be using. Wether you're using Serum, Sylenth etc, the same process would apply!
