I recently tried connecting another rover to our base station. We want to use two rovers on site. My first rover hooked up no problem to the hyper v base station using a hyper v rover. I then tried connecting a gr-5 rover to the hyper v base station and it somehow changed my localization and I had to redo it. Still haven’t got the Gr-5 to work, any suggestions?
If the Hiper V Rover is working. I would start by taking a picture of the radio settings. Then I would copy the project off of the data collector running the Hiper V and copy it to the data collector running the GR5. Then just connect the GR5 and make sure your radio settings match and it should be good to go. Also make sure the GR5 is set to Receive (Rx), not transmit (Tx). If you can't get it our contact info is available on our website. Myconstructiontechnology.com Only other thing I'm thinking is if youre trying to bounce between a GR5 and a Hiper V on the same data collector they will have different Equipment file settings for the phase center.
Not sure I'm totally understanding. If you have coordinates in a known datum and projection you can get the lat/long from a coordinate calculator, but elevation may be difficult. If you observe a point while running a projection it will record the lat/long, but you won't be able to see it in pocket 3D. There may be a way but I will have to do some investigation.

Question local projection is northing easting and gps will be lat long. How can you connect to a known point with gps information

Question do you also use zero antenna height when you set up your temporary base as well in your case the truck base?
Yes, I personally always use a zero height, unless I am setting up on a known control point that is established on the ground using a tripod setup.
@@ctpusa1 awesome thank you!
