A head neck or clavicle strike can lead to an aggrevated assult, or attempted murder, or just murder depending lol.

Funny, the first pieces of advice seemed good! As for getting behind them, often attackers stumble, over-rotate, etc. so getting off of their centerline isn’t bad advice. Also, striking at their knees with a bat/stick isn’t crazy advice if you don’t want to be charged with murder or attempted murder (which is likely in many states if you swing at and successfully bash their head in with a “Mario pipe” lol). Just a legal consideration, that. Overall great vid, man!

If you're in an UNSOLICITED street fight, i.e the random situations you devise in your head, never grapple... the last thing you want to do is be on the floor. Grappling is fine in a controlled environment, not on something you're unfamiliar with, and especially when you don't know what's around you.
Distance is key to your wellbeing, grappling is the compromise of this principle.
Most situations devised in these examples, are the result of some sort of ambush or surprise, you won't be prepared for it, so don't willingly go down for mallninja grapple time.
If you do know how to grapple, use that knowledge and experience to stay off the ground.

I also have a great 3 step guide of street fighting. It's called captain obvious' guide to streetfighting.
Step 1: avoid a fight that you are unlikely to win. This means both against multiple opponents, armed opponents, opponents with a physical advantage and opponents that appear to have fighting experience.
Step 2: scout for exits, bouncers and other methods that can break up the fight. This might mean physical barriers to get between you and the opponent or people willing to deescalate.
Step 3: don't lose the fight. If you ever commit you must have the conviction that you will win. If you don't have confidence in your ability, there is most likely not a single magic technique that will make you kick ass. But if anything, if you are out of options a knee in the junk might afford you a quick getaway.
This list is obviously sarcasm, but depressingly enough it is better then 99% of self defence guides.

the easiest way to win is not to let it become a fight, strike vital spots with speed and lethality. Dont aim to knock them out aim to immobilize their body by enducing tremendous shock to places like testicles, kidneys, liver, spinal columb, lavyrnx *under adams apple* , nape *back of neck about 2/3 quarters up* (apologies for any spelling errors) dojo karate and other martial arts these days mostly are playground friendly and can result in you getting killed. also make use of your whole hand you dont always have to use fists your hands got a perfect edge that can cause alot of damage and palm strikes

some people may say thats cheapshots and coward but in a situation where only one comes out on top would you rather play fair in a unfair fight or win

If you have access to a steel pipe, you're probably in a classic horror game. Therefore, pause it loads to drink health drinks, check your map often, and remember doors are magical portals that enemies cannot physically follow you through.

I feel like being able to gauge what is a safe striking distance to maintain and also keeping it against an aggressor moving forward wouls take a tremendous amount of training to do just well, not even master.

In the street fighting community that I came from. A voluntary fight was called "schoolyard."
    Schoolyard rules:
Don't fight dirty. (No biting, pinching, eye gouging, groin shots, ripping someone's ears off. {Sucker punches may or may not be included on this list. Depends on the fight. When in doubt, leave it out.})
    No weapons.
    No killing
No serious injury. Miner broken bones are still acceptable. You are not supposed to maim them for life.
A street fight is always involuntary, and the consequences of losing are unacceptable. If it is safe to lose, then the fight is still voluntary. Typically, in my experience, this is a fight against two or more, often armed opponents. The weapons I have personally been attacked by: Bats all kinds, pipes (steel, lead, copper), rebar, bricks, chunks of cement, knives, padlocks (on a chain or cloth), two by fours, chains, bicycle chains & skateboards. Can't think of anything else. These are not the fights you are thinking of.

Best advice ive been ever given was "if you can avoid the danger, avoid it, if you are already in danger, get out of the dangerous situation, if you cant get out of it, dont focus on "winning" focus on creating an oportunity to get out of the dangerous situation, and if that fails, TRY TO SURVIVE"
examples, if you know therr are stray DOGS that could attack you on certain street, avoid that street, if by avoiding it a crazy guy tried to attack you, run away, if by running you end up between the dogs and the dangerous man, try sweeping the guys leg so he fals to the ground and you run while the dogs eat him, if the dogs finish eating up the guy while and chase you, try to cover all vital parts of your body until cops arrive so you survive

First, distract target, then block his blind jab. Counter with cross to left cheek. Discombobulate. Dazed, he'll attempt a wild haymaker. Employ elbow block and body shot. Weaken right jaw, then fracture. Break cracked ribs. Traumatize solar plexus. Dislocate jaw entirely. Heel kick to diaphragm. In summary, ears ringing, jaw fractured, three ribs cracked, four broken, diaphragm hemorrhagging. Physical recovery: six weeks. Full psychological recovery: six months. Capacity to spit at back of head: neutralized.

Only things that’s helped me from past events where I’ve had to actually defend myself, are less strikes and more slams or slamming body parts into things. I only knew how to wrestle from school and year round tournaments (wrestled for 10 years) the only time I’ve thrown a punch in a “street fight” I broke my hand.

All the talk of strafing around reminded me of the Deadliest Warrior fighting game which is, to my knowledge, the only fighting game in existence where a character won't automatically try to turn towards their opponent. If they circle around you have to awkwardly manually turn.
