@@PIP...33 To watch how this whole redemption series (and '95 year) unfolded in real time. . . we all understood what we as fans were watching. Yes, the Bulls acquired Rodman as the missing piece, and he was a HUGE component to Chicago sweeping Orlando and winning the title. However, it should not and does not in any way take away the significance of the moment. Remember, even though the Bulls were on that historic 72-10 run, they still had to go through Orlando, with Shaq, Penny (who was in his prime), Horace Grant, Nick Anderson, Dennis Scott, and the rest. As for MJ. . . for the current generation to claim that he's not as great as the players today, I understand. It's hard to compare players across eras. For those who watched the NBA from Kareem, then the Magic and Bird/LA vs. Boston rivalry, and the Pistons rise, there is absolutely no argument to Jordan being the goat. The fear and deference that was paid to him from his opponents, you just don't see that anymore. . . in any sport.

@@CMCut With 1:20 to go in the game the Bulls are up 7 and Jordan tries to make a play with the shot clock running down…so on a drive he finds himself with his back to the basket so he flips the ball over his head trying to hit rim or get fouled. 1:20 is a lot of time left so of course he isn’t going to stop trying to win to instead make sure he sits at 45. The next time he touches the ball is just over 2 seconds left and that’s when he goes to the line…still sitting at 45 and Bulls about to sweep the Magic. That’s when he badly missed the free throws on purpose because he definitely liked how 45 looked and wanted Nick to never forget. I watched the series, and at the last game when the bulls are eliminated, the camera was on MJ for a min. MJ had a fucking murderous look on his face, shit was dark looking, and I KNEW shit was going to go down the next year. Supposedly MJ told his trainer tim grover to meet him in the gym at 6 am the next day after the game to start the off season. Grover said usually he takes off two weeks after the season is over. Next year we get 72-10 and the bulls obliterate and sweep the magic in the playoffs.

When Lebron finally retires, ain't NO ONE doing podcasts talking about him for 25 years after he is gone. He won't get people talking about him for 5 years. He doesn't have the heart, drive, mystique, incredible skill of creating a shot with just 2 steps allowed vs the 3 or 4 today
