definitely a fan of the captions. Just like in primitive technologies videos it allowed you to go into much more detail about what you are doing without having to verbally explain. Its the best of both worlds.
I recently found your channel and have watched, I don’t know 10 or 12 so far and man, I REALLY like your channel! You’re doing a great job! I’ve seen it brought up elsewhere about viewers preference and I most enjoy the videos with commentary. But to each their own. But I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all your videos that I’ve seen so far.
It was good to see the family; it adds a nice human ingredient. Yes, your daughter is beautiful as others have said. Seeing your daughter brings back great memories for this old daddy who's daughters are now 24 and 26. Time flies as it seems like only a year or so since they were your daughter's age. OK, quick question. At 25 seconds into the video one catches a quick glimpse into some of your lumber storage; I have to ask, are you satisfied with that system? Would you do anything differently with your lumber storage?. I'm about to rearrange my lumber storage so I'm curious. Thank you Andy. I always enjoy your videos. I find them very relaxing.
I do love how much time effort and planning you put into each video and everything you male its absolutely fantastic great job and you deserve wayyy more subs. Bye have a nice day!!
Awesome projects. I love your style and videos. The transition shots from place to place and task to task are so nice. I always want to replicate that but it doesn’t work well in my tiny ass little shop haha
Hi Andy love your videos. I have a question about something I recently got a new bedroom. And there is a spot on the wooden floor that squeaks every time you step on it. I wanted to ask you if you know any quick and easy permanent solutions. Thanks for your Help.
Sounds like your run capacitor is dead. That is if you have a run and a start capacitor. My run went bad and it took a bit to get up to speed. And if that's the case, then you're wearing out your start capacitor faster and it's more expensive than a new run capacitor.
Is it attached to the wall just through the top rung? I have been contemplating a similar shelf but was unsure about someone tripping over the bottom and it having that much leverage on those screws.
Great job. Cute kid. You didn't show whether or not you mounted it to the wall - I hope that's the plan in case she decides to actually use it as a ladder!
Ha! Simple... ya right. Simple is when you slap a few 2x4s together with screws and call it a day. EDIT: Ooooooh, a ladder shelf... nope, still not simple though. lol
You do not need access to such a workshop. Having such a workshop enables him to produce commercial furniture at a viable volume of output. You could do all of this with just a few hand planes, Chisels and a hand drill. You could make yourself a sit in sawhorse that you could plane, cut and chisel on. You will be slower but can do work just as good if you were to try.
Andy, you ever see the movie Walking Tall? Its a 1973 movie about the real life of Sheriff Buford Pusser. He carried a big stick. You are going to need to make yourself one of those to fend off the guys when your daughter gets older. Here's clip from the movie when he made his stick and then put it to use on the people who messed him up really bad. th-cam.com/video/-hrfgRN39D4/w-d-xo.html
that father daughter interaction made the video so much more loving than any other ladder shelf video ever
good guy Andy. doesnt talk directly but still puts in subtitles for us to understand
Your daughter is so cute!
Wow, Andy, that looks great in that room!
Your daughter is too adorable!
For it being so simple it is very well designed
What to do you guys think of the new captions? Good or Bad?
Bery good (sorry for my inglish)
definitely a fan of the captions. Just like in primitive technologies videos it allowed you to go into much more detail about what you are doing without having to verbally explain. Its the best of both worlds.
Captions are great, but you need a way to let us know to turn the caption feature on. Thanks for sharing another great video. ATB
Excellent!
very simple design and yet it looks well
That shelf is just too cool, man. Love your work...
Beautiful little lady. How sweet they are at that age.

This has to be the most wholesome thing I’ve ever seen

Classy, classy, classy. Great shots as usual! Sweet build!

Great climbing frame for the little ones 😂😂😂
Nice details on those pegs. Enjoyed watching your process. Thx for sharing. :)

Great project, it inspired me

Very cool design.
I like this design totally says hand crafted..nice work bro!🍻
Hi daddy! Okay daddy, goodbye!! So funny!
parabens Andy, belo trabalho
Great Andy 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Very nice Andy
Your daughter is the cutest
Looks like someone been getting on to you about PPE the way you grabbed them safety glasses. Lol.
Too cute!
Mr Rawls, I like your style! Good Vid (as usual) Thanks. And “Good” on the captions
My only criticism of this video is that you should have a beastmaker 😁
Yeah that was adorable
Take twice as long to show quality work thanks man.
A BIG thumbs up for your cute daughter;-)
this is why i subscribed to you mate. Brilliant!
I hope my Iron Bed doesn't start grumbling anytime soon! Nice work!
Very Cool 👍
Cadillac Quality Work
One of the few gluings that I haven’t seen 35 clamps used on
I like your style
I like your diameter gauge for the lathe :).... check its capacitor, it might be faulty... hence the slow start.
The captions are a nice addition.
Nice piece of furniture too.
Great job .... I know if I had those in my room as a kid I would be climbing them .... just saying ..... he he he
andy your daughter is frickin cute
I like your calipers
👍 спасибо за видео
Should have looked before I asked about the router jig....found it on rockler.
Is there any worry that as the shelf expands that it will break the pin?
That lathe, used at 5 min, I'm 99% sure a new capacitor is what it needs to start properly.
Magne Polden I was about to comment the same thing, the start capacitor needs replacing, cheap fix and no need to replace the whole motor.
Have you seen/heard of a pantorouter, might help with your tenons. If you haven't, Matthias Wandel's channel has several videos on it.
would you suggest buying a domino cutter or cutting it with a router yourself?
Nice camera positions
I'm just curious how much time do you spend on making + filming (placing the camera here and there, not the editing process) vs only making?
Hi Andy love your videos. I have a question about something I recently got a new bedroom. And there is a spot on the wooden floor that squeaks every time you step on it. I wanted to ask you if you know any quick and easy permanent solutions.
Thanks for your Help.
Your lathe starting up haha my band saw does the same thing...
Jack Brennan and you help it to start the same way with hand?))
No Reach around behind the saw and spin the pulley.

thanks Jason.
Maybe clean the inside helps?.
Cool
Is it attached to the wall just through the top rung? I have been contemplating a similar shelf but was unsure about someone tripping over the bottom and it having that much leverage on those screws.
Is the top screwed to the wall? It should be.
Yes I’m at screwed to the wall. It won’t be long before one of the kids climbs to the top!
Ok the draw knife on the dowel was a bit much but..nice shop..nice tools...nice video overall.
I would fix it to the wall in a childrens room as they could pull it over ( with a plant pot on it).:)
good stuff--
Nice and simple. I like it. How do you enjoy the FMT?
You're like the Texas version of Ishitani Furniture lol!
Does your lathe work on diesel?
Great vid brother.....your daughter is very sweet. What is the Leigh router jig you are using and where can I get one? Thanks Doug
Thanks
Hahhahah, best video so far
What is that tenon jig he is using?
Great job. Cute kid. You didn't show whether or not you mounted it to the wall - I hope that's the plan in case she decides to actually use it as a ladder!
😍
Skookum daddying skills.
When the kid came in lol, I miss having a dad
Good
Has anyone noticed that he looks kind of like Bradley Martin
Your daughter tho😆
good👍
You are not a big fan of chamfering your edges right? Great build.
Ha! Simple... ya right. Simple is when you slap a few 2x4s together with screws and call it a day.
EDIT: Ooooooh, a ladder shelf... nope, still not simple though. lol
@1:25 they have tools for that you know
I don't have access to a professional wood working shop!
In German, what means Hickory?
Second
Why don't you try to make something out of iron
I see many good and expensive tools - only for private use ??? wtf ?
