    I love my '05 sedan, I have it in the same color garnet fire. I have had it for 15 years now. Seeing this as retro is mind blowing, I remember seeing the first face lifted version and knew I wanted a sedan.

      Pls could you throw light on the oil burning on the 2005, I am planning to get 2005 but I want to get 2003 instead just because of the oil consumption , how much oil does it burns pls?

    • @Ward413
      @Ward413 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Peregrinefalconfx It was a non-issue for me. My buddy had a 2004 G35 sedan and he didn’t have issues either. Another friend had a 350Z and while you could sometimes get a hint of an oil smell it’s not like he had to carry a case of oil around with him. As long as the car hasn’t been flogged to death to the point where the piston rings don’t seal. Honestly, the oil burn issue on a stock or mostly stock G35/350Z is pretty benign.

    The 2003 equivalent of the Genesis G70 today. Sedate styling and well-riding, but quite playful when you want it to be. The modern-day successor Q50 is rather underwhelming, especially when stacked against its G70, Alfa Romeo Giulia and BMW 3-series competitors.

      When I was 15, back in 2004, my mom leased a 2005 White G35X Sedan. I ended up falling in love with that car. It was the first car I ever drove, got my learners permit and drove the G35 as much as I could. I took my driver's test in that car. Once I had my license I would sneak out at night in my moms infiniti when she was out. Fast forward 12 years, my Mom had a 2010 G37x Coupe, she sold it to me for 6grand with 108k miles. It feels amazing driving my dream car everyday. I love Infinits, I hope my next car is a Q50 Redsport.

    My brother owned a 2004 Infiniti g35. They were incredible sport sedans and very responsive engine.
    The annoying thing about the G35 is the poor fit and finish. The interior materials were cheap plastics.

    I'm surprised that MotorWeek would consider the Lexus ES as a competition to the G35, when the IS300 existed at the time. The Lexus ES was clearly midsized, and wasn't meant to be a sports car. The Lexus ES would have competed with the I30/I35, and the later M35 and M37.

  • @spletest8977
    @spletest8977 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    These cars are absolute tanks. We've owned 2, the first one got t-boned by a Chevy Silverado at 55mph and there was no intrusion into the cabin. Besides the plastic on the B pillar popping out and the airbags deployed, just from looking around the interior you'd have no idea the whole passenger side of the car was completely destroyed. Still have the 2nd one, but if you're looking to buy one, fair warning, look at the maintenance records - just about the whole suspension system needs to be replaced every 100k miles. So if someone is selling one between 90-110k or 190-210k miles they might be avoiding doing these repairs.

    Had a taste of this in Las Vegas when I got my ‘96 G20 serviced there. Was a treat having a luxury sedan for a loaner. Was disappointing to be back in my old car after driving this for a few days.
