If you are thinking of using either Vital VST or Massive X or you are planning on using other wavetable VSTs, then in this video, I'm recommending you to get both Vital VST & Massive X. Why? Because of the 5 reasons laid out in this video. All of the other wavetable VSTs are great too however if it boils down to free and paid VSTs, Vital VST & Massive X is one my best combination when it comes to sound design.

I also have Serum, but man I don't use it nearly as much as Vital. Now that I have started to look for presets, I have used Serum a lot more, but still when it comes to making something new from scratch, I'm doing it in Vital.

vital is definitely one of the best ways to get started to learning sound design visually and if you really wana start from scratch to understand the process. then onto massive and other synths for more advanced stuff. and honestly some times as compared to serum, it can be achieved through vital as long as we dont overcomplicate things. it’s really value for money at no cost. :)
