Ketamine is an emerging treatment option that has shown promising results in treating anxiety and depression. While it was originally used as an anesthetic, ketamine therapy has been found to be an effective treatment for those who have not responded to traditional forms of treatment for anxiety.
This video will explore how ketamine therapy can help alleviate symptoms of anxiety and anxiety attacks. We will discuss the science behind ketamine's therapeutic effects, the process of receiving ketamine infusion therapy, and the potential benefits of this treatment approach.
If you or someone you know is struggling with anxiety or depression, ketamine infusion therapy may be a viable option. This treatment involves receiving a low dose of ketamine intravenously over the course of several sessions. The treatment is administered in a clinical setting under the supervision of a trained medical professional.
Ketamine works by altering the neurotransmitter system in the brain, specifically the glutamate system. It has been found to increase the release of glutamate, which leads to the formation of new neural connections in the brain. This process is thought to contribute to the positive changes in mood and behavior that are observed with ketamine therapy.
While ketamine is not a cure for anxiety or depression, it has been found to provide rapid relief of symptoms, sometimes within hours of treatment. Ketamine therapy can also help those who have not responded to traditional forms of treatment, such as medication or talk therapy.
Anxiety attacks are a common symptom of anxiety disorders, and ketamine infusion therapy can be effective in reducing the frequency and severity of these attacks. Holistic ketamine infusion therapy may even be able to reduce the frequency of panic attacks in patients with treatment-resistant depression and anxiety.
It is important to note that ketamine infusion therapy is not without potential side effects. Some patients may experience temporary side effects such as dissociation, dizziness, or nausea during the infusion. However, these side effects typically resolve on their own shortly after the infusion is completed.
Overall, ketamine infusion therapy is a promising treatment option for those who have not found relief from traditional forms of treatment for anxiety and depression. If you or someone you know is struggling with anxiety, depression, or anxiety attacks, it may be worth considering ketamine infusion therapy as a treatment option.
In summary, this video explores how ketamine infusion therapy can help alleviate symptoms of anxiety and anxiety attacks. We discussed the science behind ketamine's therapeutic effects, the process of receiving ketamine infusion therapy, and the potential benefits of this treatment approach. If you or someone you know is struggling with anxiety or depression, ketamine infusion therapy may be a viable treatment option to consider.

Ketamine has changed my life. I am 62 yes old. I thought it might be too late to change some of my patterns around control and fear of rejection. I have had ketamine treatments for a year and I feel amazing! It is expensive and no insurance coverage. Don't give up people. Ketamine is life changing!

My sister had ketamine treatments at the VA which was no cost to her. I believe soon this treatment will be covered by insurance just as TMS was finally covered by my Medicare ( 0:30 transcranial magnetic stimulation ) which worked wonders for me about eight years ago. I am in a very depressed state now due to long-term emotional abuse. I would like to try ketamine now. So far I don’t see that Medicare covers it. I pray that it happens soon. My sister is like her old self again after ketamine treatments.

My Medicare supplement pays, or I don't get the treatment. Been told so. I've been under psychiatric and psychological care for more than 30 years. I am minimally medicated by choice because of adverse reaction to psychiatric medications. I'm on a minimal dose of clonazapam combined with CBT. But there you have it. Welcome to medicine in America. I can't even try something that might help my crippling anxiety because I'm disabled, and don't have any money. That right there is anxiety producing.

Boy, I wish you were my doctor I would have you as a primary care doctor over any doctor I've had in the last 7 to 10 to 10 years. There's the only doctor that diagnosed me with a spinal cord injury after a year of being told that I had nothing wrong with me after my accident that can press my spot accord. Severely and I had surgery 4 months later. Which caused my injury to be permanent and the damage to my spinal cord to be permanent. And then after that, I had symptoms that were different but continuous. And no one believed me, my doctor didn't believe me. The sergeant didn't believe me. The ER doctors didn't believe me but luckily when I went completely paralyzed. And I couldn't mthey didn't treat me in the hospital. They sent me to a rehab clinic. I rehab/.
Short-term rehab clinic. For 2 weeks in patients where I had physical therapy and occupational therapy. And I was a really strong medication that made it. So my pain was under control. The doctor there was a spinal cord doctor and told me I had a spinal cord injury and I'm like. Yes, I know doctor I knew that back in 2010 and she is the only one I trust but I would trust you. And the reason is you look at the whole person. Not just one little thing at a time. That's the type of medicine I really wish you were down in l a

    Hi Doc,
I ran across one of your videos probably by a TH-cam bot but found it very helpful as I have had a lot of trauma in my life starting at age 3 with Open Heart Surgery. I’m mentally disabled and physically handicapped as a result of all of these injuries, which include multiple surgeries. I have complex depression, severe PTSD, and along with that comes severe anxiety. I went in for a ketamine treatment and the first of worked pretty good. Now this anesthesiologist had two different types of infusions. One was a $450 infusion and the other one was a $750 infusion. I’ve had three of the $450 ones and was desperate for four some relief and paid for the $750 one and I got nothing. I’m also a chronic pain sufferer.
7 hemangiomas, 16 broken bones, pulmonary embolism, due to open to fracture, and list goes on. My question is, the doctor that I was seeing put me on some ketamine lozenges, what is your thoughts on those as I stop taking them because they’re expensive and I am on a fixed income due to all my problems. Also, I am doing TMS with my psychiatrist, this constant or chronic malaise and pain, makes it to where I don’t fear death but just for the record, I’m not a danger to myself or others I have a family. I hope you can give me some advice, if I should start the lozenges again as the TMS is not working and I refuse to take any SSRI. Thanks again subscribed and notifications on so hopefully I can read your response if you get to my long winded message. I’m 60 years old, broke my right calcaneus in 1985 and right now I have been dealing with bone on bone knee issue for the last 12 years.

Hi, I had my first Ketamine infusion at a Hospital in India. Though the treatment was recommended by a psychiatrist, it was administered by an anesthesiologist (under the supervision of the duty doctor). There were noisy patients all around and the environment wasn't particularly therapeutic. It wasn't treated like a psychiatric case at all.
I have two sessions the coming week. I don't know if I should continue.
PS: I have generalized anxiety, which is still present after the first infusion.

Ketamine has helped me as well. However, I can definitely see that it is not for everyone. It places you in this ineffable state and place from where you are able to remove yourself from the experience, enabling you to examine your ego like nothing else. Ive tried psychedelics of different types, but ketamine keeps you somewhat "safe" by preventing the trip from controlling you. If you are properly guided, with sympathy, empathy and compassion, you will experience its therapeutic benefits.

I fasted 3 and a half hours before my treatment. ~15 min in, I started feeling nauseous and that came in waves for about 40 min. My body was very relaxed, but I was seeing double and I hate that. I felt drunk. If I had kept my blindfold on, it probably would be a better experience for me. Toward the end (40 min mark), I thought I was going to throw up. The nausea was intense and I was profusely sweating so I started to freak out. I didn’t want to throw up in the room and I was too anxious to call for help, so I took out the iv myself and that’s when they came in. They brought me a barf bag and I started to feel better (never thru up) but I felt nauseous for like 20 min after I took out the iv. The double vision was probably making the feeling worse but overall, the experience was not great.

weird, it's actually the opposite for me. Ketamine works fantastic for the conditions I have, but, it's the sudden lack of control that helps so much. With the condition I have, it's common to be unable to estimate how able you will be on a given day. With my health improving, the drug does appear to re-vamp what my subconcious sees as a possibility, to an extent, resulting in a change in percieved wellness despite similar physical conditions.
