Actually it's a home made exhaust! Designed it myself, actually going to start selling them on my website in the next couple of weeks or so. Just putting the polishing touches on it! Rockandseagarageboardshop.com !!
I had a similar set up 20 years ago. had to to give it up, was spending more than I was making. been thinking about starting up again, just afraid of losing money. as for the planer, blanks ,even back then, are so close to finish product , really don't need that unless your doing epoxy .
Very nice, the coveted skill 100! Hey stay tuned, just finished filming a vid demoing new dust collector adapters for modified planers and the skill 100! Has a cool ball bearing system allowing your hose to swivel freely without twisting on you
Thx for your vid. Your adjustable lightsystem looks very interesting. Perhaps you can produce a vid about your shaping room? Best regards from the Baltic Sea
Whoa Baltic Sea, thats awesome! I should get a map and mark all the places around the world where people comment in from! Hey thanks for the suggestion, always looking for what people might find interesting, I'll have to do a tour video! I guess count it as in the works!
@@JDubHannah haha....TH-cam makes many things possible, there the world comes very close. By the way:I "survived dental school 27 years ago....;) All the best
Thanks for the vid, trying this myself, got the shapers barrel, but I can't get the old blades out...I tried the same way you did but it won't budge, and I'm stripping the holes at this point ...any advice?
hey happy to help and spread the stoke! so your stripping the holes in the step where I used the pliers? the barrel was incredibly tight in there and I used a screwdriver to lever the pliers. If your stripping the holes either restart with a fresh pair of pliers and grind them to a very tight tolerance so they fit more tightly in the holes, or if your at risk of permanently messing it up probably just worth buying the dedicated tool for unscrewing that part. Im not sure what its called but its out there somewhere!
That’s sick!! I’m team makita and I see your old planer was a makita. Now your running the hitachi. What’s your preference between the two? They make the barrels for the makita planers too
Honestly both are amazing machines, can’t go wrong with either!…. But I had heard a lot about the old Hitachi p20sb, a few legendary shapers say it’s their favorite. They aren’t made anymore, they sold out a few years back and now are Metaboo and don’t make the same model. I tracked one down, a little pricey, but very cool planer. The big difference I noticed is the weight, the hitachi is a lot lighter and a little more comfortable to use, that being said the makita is more powerful and it’s easier to find replacement parts. Both are amazing, but I am a little bias towards the hitachi
@dustinsaito6732 you won’t regret it! It’s AMAZING! If you are going to set up dust collection, I’m finishing up dust collector adapters to fit two specific hoses, should have them up on the website in a week or two🙌
Now I want one. By the way where did you get your exhaust attachment from ??? That's fancier than the one I have. I want one of those too.
