The damage is good enough for what I need anyway, and the deaths were just bothering me so much. Still at depth 200, but going deeper - it just takes a while.

@@MF_MetalFace thats not even mandatory at all, rn ive spent i think 10 divines and im blasting through maps being able to kill guardians/conqueres in less than 2s. however i've changed my skilltree a bit as im not running RF so ive kept my energy shield and i have 4.3k es and 3k life

@@shadowlest 1) The Brine king Major pantheon Will grant you stun immunity if you have been stun in the past 2 seconds. 2) Try not to blink in mobs (doh. But I know its easier to said than done) 3) Carry Rumi and use it as a panic flask 4) use meat shield support with lightning golem and get a jewel with minion taunt.
@KyleSeraphim yeah i already using Brine King, the Rumi flask you say is for stun calculation? Because the amount of block chance and armor for this build is nothing xD. The damage is pretty decent now, its almost 22M , but the survivebility is sucks, i'm stuck at level 91 because of this stun, in some boss i just cant hit him because he is "perm stuning" - stun+MOM = perm stun or die - , i think this is because we have just 3k of life x_x, some guys is running at 2k @_@
@@shadowlest Rumi is to prevent you from getting killed in 2 seconds, and with the 2 second frame if the boss stunned you you can blink away. The playstyle of mana stacker is a bit different. You need to arc the position you want to move to, then blink, then arc, then blink. If Bossing is giving you the most of the issue then again i'd look into beefing up your golem with taunt% on the abyssal jewel... Until you have 100M+ DPS like in this video then you can just delete the boss hah
Soo I guess this is just a glass cannon build with an EHP of 28.5k, not ailment immunity so gg getting frozen. -60 chaos res, 3k life, 1.7k armor .1.6k EV, 0 Spell suppression.. i guess the idea was to kill anything before it even breezes near you XD. pretty nutty damage though
@@MEMUNDOLOL I'm using a much more defensive focused mana based hierophant with like 6k+ mana 3k ES 3k HP , capped all res + a lot of armor and you still need A TON of investment not to instantly explode past T12 maps. So naturally, this build with 0 defenses is hot garbage.
I've been playing this build quite a bit. It's alright but extremely squishy in higher maps. I have solod everything up until T17 at the moment. Would definitely recommend swapping wrath out for determination. But even with 85% phys damage mitigation I still find myself dying quite a bit. Likely need an additional defensive layer, evasion, block, spell suppress etc. Trying to figure out a good defensive setup for the remaining 3L but really not sure.
Definitely. And i removed agnostik for more es plus take Sanctuary of Thought and swap to three dragons for freezing stuff(just be sure, that you have source of fire damage to spells to inflict shock). Feels pretty fine to me. Now thinking about Immutable force, stuns annoying...

@@rystraum Yeah, I ended up changing a lot of the things you did as well. This build is just a theorycrafted build that has a bajillion damage but doesn't function well in the game. Agnostic was a bait. I went ES/low hp instead and it worked much better, had a lot of ES. Went Ivory tower for body armor. Switched one wand to the unique mana reserve shield. That let me run Wrath + Grace + Zealotry + Clarity. Had max armor+ max evasion +10k+ ES. Worked out well. All those changes I could run t15 ezpz and t16 was doable but bosses were rough.

Chaos damage is rare and not an issue in Softcore trade league, however if you really hate having - 60 chaos res then craft your rings with chaos resistance instead by replacing the "reforge caster" step with "reforge chaos"
Hello, I am trying to use craft of exile the emulate the craft of iron ring. I used essence of scorn and suffix cannot change. Then, when I try to use reforge caster, it is telling me there is no caster mod in the mod pool can be added. Do you know why this is happening? Thank you!
Suffix needs to have 1 empty spot. Crit essence/mana regen take the other two spots. The only mod reforge caster can roll on rings is cast speed. So if suffixs are full u can't add cast speed with reforge. Pretty sure that's how it works
hi, I will explain to you using the example of simple crafting with a Fraktur mod for casting speed: 1) use essense of scorn to get crit multi + mana regeneration rate (tier 1-2) Now u have 3 suffixes 2) suffix cant be changed, use orb of scouring to clear all pref 3) suffix can't be changed again, use veiled orb trying to catch "to maximum Mana, Regenerate 5.3 Mana per second" repeat steps 2 and 3 until you get the desired attribute 4) last step craft from bench hp+mana per second

The build is squishy if you treat it as a tank, our defenses only exists to protect us from accidental one shots, the build already offers LOTS of damage for low price, you can't have everything.

Build is going well so far, I can do t16 maps without dying with careful play. I'm missing like one or two upgrades, but I still don't see how those are going to push me to 100-220m dps as mentioned in the video. I do have a question though, why does this build use both bottled faith, and a normal sulfur flask? I thought they didn't work together?
Bottled fait is useless while mapping because we keep moving, I don't bother pressing it hence I have a sulphar flask to retain the 40% increased damage bonus while mapping.
would this work with kitava's thirst setup. similar to the icenova variant. Put arc or maybe shocknova onto the helmet for extra clear and crackling lance for the main skill to trigger it.
I think it's the same tree as his arc league starter with a few points changed at endgame. I'm using the arc starter pob to eventually swap to this. hope this helped
Now I am level 95 and using this guide from the start. I can say the dps is good. But its easy to get killed. Although your mana regen is good, but sometime enemies easily one tap you. Now I am working to get good defense like spell suppression and others
I never made this build to be tanky, I was trying to maximize damage with Archmage, our defenses are there to protect you from accidental one shots, you can't take constant beating.
Any tips for getting some stun avoidance ? It's pretty frustrating dealing with stuns before I have a huge mana pool , I have decent items but I'm still leveling the character (it's 80 now ) and i'm getting stunlocked and killed A LOT

@rystraum nah ,I think the build is cool , for survivability and qol I just bought a mageblood 😉 . The build is so zoomy, map bosses are inexistent, other bosses melt in seconds . Sure you can die sometimes to random stuff like exploding strongboxes or a pack of rare porcupines 🤣,but the speed the damage is absolutely worth it ,and also I'm making tons of currency by farming legions ,I mean I destroy whole legions with 1 vaal arc 😜
I have a lot of issues trying to do this build, i don't understand why my mana regen lacks that much compared to urs even when go into the pob and put everything i can similar you still have more mana regen and idk why at all, i rly dfon't get it please help

I ran arc of oscilating for 1.5 leagues and regular arc is just better for mapping. There is a potential edge case maybe for a boss somewhere that benefits from arc oso vs arc, but might as well just run arc for 99% of the content and CL for the bosses.

I see. But it'll be easier to get a lot of extra damage on gear when MB takes care of deffence and speed. So it's possible that RF won't even be necessary. Thx for the reply!
hi, I do have alittle quetions, in the pob, you put 2 large cluster jewels in the pasive tree but you didn't put any pasive point in it, how does the jewel actually work in the pasive tree?
You use intensify support in your PoB, but crackling lance already has intensify stacks - those 2 don't seem to stack according to PoB (nor do I see some different buffs ingame). Anything else we can substitute it for?
Bro I followed your build. Just 1 question, why does my mana regen slower than yours when using righteous fire? I cannot spam crackling lance for more than 8 secs. Hope you can help.

Buy the gloves with a fractured resistance and spam life essences on it until you hit life + mana, then lock the prefixes and use a vielded orb to get a vielded suffix then craft whatever you want as your last suffix.
When I use Arc I have no mana regen issues on boss but when I use CL I can only get a few in before mana is depleted. I have almost the same amount of mana regen, any suggestions?
it's because in PoB and Video he use Inspiration that cost nothing, but if you put Crit damage the mana cost is so hight that event with 2k5 mana regen tou cant sustain it
It's less efficient to set arcane cloak on auto activation because it gives us lots of damage and it might be on Cooldown when you get a chance to deal damage.
How are you getting extra shock effect, i see you have put 65 into the calcs, but how did you get tat number, I know you increased your max to 65 but do you need to increase your shock effect with gear or on the tree to get to 65
No Shock is decided based on the lightning damage of the hit in relation to the target hit points, we deal too much damage that we automatically inflict maximum shock with 0 investment in shock effect.
i se 28k max hit pool it seems like anything can kill u not sure this guy plays a lot of poe seems like a bait build for new players who thinks dps is all we need

And you can get rid of everything else quickly enough with your own damage. I've died the most from these new crawler bugs so far (they bury themselves and spawn under you again and do enormous damage) Otherwise it runs very well and even better with the new setup. And 70 deaths in just under 56 hours of playtime may not be good, but I've definitely seen worse. In the end, it all comes down to your own skill and knowing when and how to position yourself :P
People tend to assume that every build they see on YT is Hardcore viable, this is a Softcore trade league build that is not designed to "not die", instead it's designed to offer the best ratio of damage/currency spent.

Just wanted to know if it was not a complete glass canon build that i could use as a fast mapping/bossing character. I spend like 8-9 div for gear, some i craft myself, some things i don't have like militant faith timeless jewel (had one for 1 div but it changed arcane will to wrong one so i sold it) and im missing the Adorned, and +1 power charge on helmet and awakened spell echo (btw. i run archmage instead inspiration)
I need help please I have no mana issues at all I stay on full mana even when I spam abilities and regen when I get hit BUT BUUUT if my mana hit 0 the regen stops untill I go to a boss room it just completely stops only applies to life

Or even if that happens same thing going to happen when I reach 0 mana

Its played on hierophant which has 4 minimum power charges anyways, and void battery gives 25% increased spell dmg per power charge, which is 100%. Downside of void battery is completely negated at all times with this ascendancy. Most of power charge user spell based builds would use it anyways just cause its scaling is huge
Correction We have 10 total power charges not 4, that's a total of 250% increased spell damage per wand for a total of 210% after adding the implicit and the reduction.
@@PhoenixLive_YT Thanks, something I noticed was the Cloak of Defiance has a fairly high Dex requirement of 76. The PoB only has 69 (it's not throwing up an error for some reason), what's the best source of this Dex? In hindsight I presume it's just a good dex roll on boots, possibly on gloves or rings too if desperate... I've not ran Archmage before so another question is, prior to being able to kill whatever it is before it's a problem, what's the best method to deal with stun locking areas? It seems like it's a bit an issue. for example, I'm levelling with it right now and Kaom's arena is very hard to survive in as 2/3 of it is being hit by lava balls. I'm sure it's not the only area like this and I'm pretty sure that repeats in a map too. Sorry to keep bugging you!

We are already a lot tanker than builds that deals similar damage at higher investment, you can't have both massive damage and high tankiness with common unique items.
I havn't played PoE in like 4 years but I'm jumping into SSF with this build today. Arc is my fav skill ever in any ARPG. Just love the efficiency of the bounces. YOLO
This build doesn't really benefit from expensive items since all we really need is mana, I don't recommend getting Mageblood unless you are planning to go full defensive flasks.
Thanks for the guide, I'm really enjoying this build. I'd appreciate even more if your POB had REAL items. I mean, your POB has only perfect rolled items and it gives us the illusion that we are going to be anywhere near that damage, which we obviously can't.

@@hdwq Nah you use Eternal Blessing support on it so it reserves 0 mana. I've actuallly switched to a low-life ES version of this build. So now I use Eternal Blessing for determination, then reserve life to run Herald of Thunder and Discipline.
I tried this build because I thought that the huge life/mana pool would somewhat compensate for the complete lack of any defensive layers, but, unfortunately, it does not. This build feels great during leveling and early mapping, but you cannot juice red maps because it is too squishy. Maybe very good players can do T17 maps or uber-bosses with it, I can't.
Well, I was gonna try archmage hiero anyway, started the build and now struggling through levelling on t13-t14 maps. I hope there is some alternative version of tankier hiero mana archmage build if this will be a bait build :P
I am already doing Full juice T16 deli maps in the video with 100% increased map modifiers intensity, I took big hits and survived, the gimmick of this build isn't being immortal, it's dealing massive damage for cheap, you just need to know how to play it carefully.
@@PhoenixLive_YT Are you doing that with the PoB you linked? Because with this, I am struggling to understand how you are able avoid constant one-shots. You have no defensive layers. No Determination or Grace, no Evasion or Armour (6% chance to evade, 31% PDR), no Spell Suppression, no defensive historic jewel setup, no block, no Chaos Res, no Crit reduction. In you PoB, effective Hit Pool is 20k with Arcane Cloak, and 15k without, Phys Max Hit 8k, Chaos Max Hit 5k. I understand that glass cannon builds are a legitimate way to play, but you should mention in the video that this build is very (imo extremely) squishy.

How To craft a ring, the fast explenation in video is not sufficent and also Veiled Chaos Orb are around 9-10 div so its risky for a newcomer to do all of this with locking suffixes etc.
I can't explain in detail how to craft rare items in every video because this is not a crafting video, I just shared the steps for those who already know how to craft. As for vielded orb, it's not mandatory, just exalt slam life or mana and craft the other one yourself.
Why the helmet? I maybe do not understand the three texts. ES gets to zero. Transfiguration of mind we already have. The other two texts useless? What do we get from the helmet?
Using inspiration gem seems usseles bro , you can get only 1 charge at time only benfit is 35% less mana cost of arc?

Mana. Mana regen. Which is why its not very tanky in 16+ map, Take the atlas node that makes enemy deal less dmg if you have enough to clear maps.

@@shadowlest 1) The Brine king Major pantheon Will grant you stun immunity if you have been stun in the past 2 seconds. 2) Try not to blink in mobs (doh. But I know its easier to said than done) 3) Carry Rumi and use it as a panic flask 4) use meat shield support with lightning golem and get a jewel with minion taunt.

The damage is pretty decent now, its almost 22M , but the survivebility is sucks, i'm stuck at level 91 because of this stun, in some boss i just cant hit him because he is "perm stuning" - stun+MOM = perm stun or die - , i think this is because we have just 3k of life x_x, some guys is running at 2k @_@
@@shadowlest Rumi is to prevent you from getting killed in 2 seconds, and with the 2 second frame if the boss stunned you you can blink away. The playstyle of mana stacker is a bit different. You need to arc the position you want to move to, then blink, then arc, then blink. If Bossing is giving you the most of the issue then again i'd look into beefing up your golem with taunt% on the abyssal jewel... Until you have 100M+ DPS like in this video then you can just delete the boss hah

What are the main defensive layers? I have started to put this together but get slapped around so far, not sure what I am missing.
Soo I guess this is just a glass cannon build with an EHP of 28.5k, not ailment immunity so gg getting frozen. -60 chaos res, 3k life, 1.7k armor .1.6k EV, 0 Spell suppression.. i guess the idea was to kill anything before it even breezes near you XD. pretty nutty damage though

@@MEMUNDOLOL I'm using a much more defensive focused mana based hierophant with like 6k+ mana 3k ES 3k HP , capped all res + a lot of armor and you still need A TON of investment not to instantly explode past T12 maps.
So naturally, this build with 0 defenses is hot garbage.
I've been playing this build quite a bit. It's alright but extremely squishy in higher maps. I have solod everything up until T17 at the moment.
Would definitely recommend swapping wrath out for determination. But even with 85% phys damage mitigation I still find myself dying quite a bit. Likely need an additional defensive layer, evasion, block, spell suppress etc. Trying to figure out a good defensive setup for the remaining 3L but really not sure.
Definitely. And i removed agnostik for more es plus take Sanctuary of Thought and swap to three dragons for freezing stuff(just be sure, that you have source of fire damage to spells to inflict shock). Feels pretty fine to me. Now thinking about Immutable force, stuns annoying...
I got baited so hard with this build. Glass cannon is so true. I had to sacrifice a lot of the DPS but I've managed to up EHP to 60kish, 81% fire res, 40% block, 12% spell suppression. The damage is good enough for what I need anyway, and the deaths were just bothering me so much.
I was able to improve survivability by:
- I dropped RF because I did not like how it behaved, so I also removed The Agnostic
- Dawnbreaker Shield - Phys/Cold/Light taken as Fire
- Ruby Flask - +Max Fire Res & Spell Dmg leech as ES
- Granite Flask - Increased Armor
- Skill Tree - swapping dual-wielding to leech + 10% instant leech
- Ring - Replace 1 of the rings with amethyst + chaos
- Aura - I swap between Wrath & Determination depending on what I need at the situation, linked both of them to eternal bless
I've been able to Delve comfortably with these too. Still at depth 200, but going deeper - it just takes a while.
@@rystraum Yeah, I ended up changing a lot of the things you did as well. This build is just a theorycrafted build that has a bajillion damage but doesn't function well in the game.
Agnostic was a bait. I went ES/low hp instead and it worked much better, had a lot of ES. Went Ivory tower for body armor. Switched one wand to the unique mana reserve shield.
That let me run Wrath + Grace + Zealotry + Clarity. Had max armor+ max evasion +10k+ ES. Worked out well.
All those changes I could run t15 ezpz and t16 was doable but bosses were rough.

how do you avoid getting instant killed to chaos damage at -60 chaos resistance?
Chaos damage is rare and not an issue in Softcore trade league, however if you really hate having - 60 chaos res then craft your rings with chaos resistance instead by replacing the "reforge caster" step with "reforge chaos"

Hello, I am trying to use craft of exile the emulate the craft of iron ring. I used essence of scorn and suffix cannot change. Then, when I try to use reforge caster, it is telling me there is no caster mod in the mod pool can be added. Do you know why this is happening? Thank you!
Suffix needs to have 1 empty spot. Crit essence/mana regen take the other two spots. The only mod reforge caster can roll on rings is cast speed. So if suffixs are full u can't add cast speed with reforge. Pretty sure that's how it works

hi, I will explain to you using the example of simple crafting with a Fraktur mod for casting speed:
1) use essense of scorn to get crit multi + mana regeneration rate (tier 1-2)
Now u have 3 suffixes
2) suffix cant be changed, use orb of scouring to clear all pref
3) suffix can't be changed again, use veiled orb trying to catch "to maximum Mana, Regenerate 5.3 Mana per second"
repeat steps 2 and 3 until you get the desired attribute
4) last step craft from bench hp+mana per second

The build is squishy if you treat it as a tank, our defenses only exists to protect us from accidental one shots, the build already offers LOTS of damage for low price, you can't have everything.

Build is going well so far, I can do t16 maps without dying with careful play. I'm missing like one or two upgrades, but I still don't see how those are going to push me to 100-220m dps as mentioned in the video. I do have a question though, why does this build use both bottled faith, and a normal sulfur flask? I thought they didn't work together?
Bottled fait is useless while mapping because we keep moving, I don't bother pressing it hence I have a sulphar flask to retain the 40% increased damage bonus while mapping.

you need high mana and mana regen pool - until then its squishy, yes, and the biggest defense is its offense then

Now I am level 95 and using this guide from the start. I can say the dps is good. But its easy to get killed. Although your mana regen is good, but sometime enemies easily one tap you. Now I am working to get good defense like spell suppression and others
I never made this build to be tanky, I was trying to maximize damage with Archmage, our defenses are there to protect you from accidental one shots, you can't take constant beating.

Any tips for getting some stun avoidance ? It's pretty frustrating dealing with stuns before I have a huge mana pool , I have decent items but I'm still leveling the character (it's 80 now ) and i'm getting stunlocked and killed A LOT

@rystraum nah ,I think the build is cool , for survivability and qol I just bought a mageblood 😉 . The build is so zoomy, map bosses are inexistent, other bosses melt in seconds . Sure you can die sometimes to random stuff like exploding strongboxes or a pack of rare porcupines 🤣,but the speed the damage is absolutely worth it ,and also I'm making tons of currency by farming legions ,I mean I destroy whole legions with 1 vaal arc 😜

It's mentioned in the video that this build switches between both skills depending if you want more damage or better clearing.

Righteous fire is not a mandatory gem in this build, you only use it once you have enough mana regen to beat it's degen.

I haven't tested them because I use CL for bosses anyway and regular Arc damage is already overkill.
i use arc of oscilating with the build i do more dps instead of arc
I ran arc of oscilating for 1.5 leagues and regular arc is just better for mapping. There is a potential edge case maybe for a boss somewhere that benefits from arc oso vs arc, but might as well just run arc for 99% of the content and CL for the bosses.

Yes you can run without the mana recovery belt mod but forget about using Righteous Fire.
I see. But it'll be easier to get a lot of extra damage on gear when MB takes care of deffence and speed. So it's possible that RF won't even be necessary. Thx for the reply!
Very confusing. You say Archmage Arc is insane (220M Damage) and yet you're using crackling lance in the end, not arc. What is now, Arc or CL?

hi, I do have alittle quetions, in the pob, you put 2 large cluster jewels in the pasive tree but you didn't put any pasive point in it, how does the jewel actually work in the pasive tree?

You use intensify support in your PoB, but crackling lance already has intensify stacks - those 2 don't seem to stack according to PoB (nor do I see some different buffs ingame). Anything else we can substitute it for?
They do stack in terms of damage.

Buy the gloves with a fractured resistance and spam life essences on it until you hit life + mana, then lock the prefixes and use a vielded orb to get a vielded suffix then craft whatever you want as your last suffix.

When I use Arc I have no mana regen issues on boss but when I use CL I can only get a few in before mana is depleted. I have almost the same amount of mana regen, any suggestions?
it's because in PoB and Video he use Inspiration that cost nothing, but if you put Crit damage the mana cost is so hight that event with 2k5 mana regen tou cant sustain it
what if in this assembly use Automation Arcane Cloak...and don't use RF.What can happen?
It's less efficient to set arcane cloak on auto activation because it gives us lots of damage and it might be on Cooldown when you get a chance to deal damage.
How are you getting extra shock effect, i see you have put 65 into the calcs, but how did you get tat number, I know you increased your max to 65 but do you need to increase your shock effect with gear or on the tree to get to 65

Shock is decided based on the lightning damage of the hit in relation to the target hit points, we deal too much damage that we automatically inflict maximum shock with 0 investment in shock effect.
How do we deal with stunlocks? They happen often.
Check pantheons in the video, already fixed this.

Prices depends on the market however this build only needs 40 Divines to reach that damage.

I mean, yes, the build is not a super tank. But it can take a hit or two. And you can get rid of everything else quickly enough with your own damage.
I've died the most from these new crawler bugs so far (they bury themselves and spawn under you again and do enormous damage) Otherwise it runs very well and even better with the new setup.
And 70 deaths in just under 56 hours of playtime may not be good, but I've definitely seen worse.
In the end, it all comes down to your own skill and knowing when and how to position yourself :P
If you have an idea of how Ball lightning archmage is played atm could you tell me if this build have to be played more defensively or less please :)
People tend to assume that every build they see on YT is Hardcore viable, this is a Softcore trade league build that is not designed to "not die", instead it's designed to offer the best ratio of damage/currency spent.

I spend like 8-9 div for gear, some i craft myself, some things i don't have like militant faith timeless jewel (had one for 1 div but it changed arcane will to wrong one so i sold it) and im missing the Adorned, and +1 power charge on helmet and awakened spell echo (btw. i run archmage instead inspiration)
With the agnostic and RF combined, I often get stuck on 0 mana. Having to leave the map or die. What's the solution to this? More mana regen?

That's because you are running RF with low mana regen, get more regen and drop RF until you get it.

How did you craft the belt and why is it so important for the mana regen roll?
1- I crafted the belt with prestige fossoils.
2- mana recover is obviously important because this is a mana Stacking build.
why is the void battery good when it literally decreases spell damage by 80% two times so 96%? or it doesnt work like that (im new to poe)
Its played on hierophant which has 4 minimum power charges anyways, and void battery gives 25% increased spell dmg per power charge, which is 100%. Downside of void battery is completely negated at all times with this ascendancy.
Most of power charge user spell based builds would use it anyways just cause its scaling is huge
Correction
We have 10 total power charges not 4, that's a total of 250% increased spell damage per wand for a total of 210% after adding the implicit and the reduction.

Is Arc of Surging / Arc of Oscillating a better replacement for regular Arc?
It doesn't matter much since we are switching to CL for bosses and regular Arc damage is already overkill.
@@PhoenixLive_YT Thanks, something I noticed was the Cloak of Defiance has a fairly high Dex requirement of 76. The PoB only has 69 (it's not throwing up an error for some reason), what's the best source of this Dex? In hindsight I presume it's just a good dex roll on boots, possibly on gloves or rings too if desperate...
I've not ran Archmage before so another question is, prior to being able to kill whatever it is before it's a problem, what's the best method to deal with stun locking areas? It seems like it's a bit an issue. for example, I'm levelling with it right now and Kaom's arena is very hard to survive in as 2/3 of it is being hit by lava balls. I'm sure it's not the only area like this and I'm pretty sure that repeats in a map too.

We are already a lot tanker than builds that deals similar damage at higher investment, you can't have both massive damage and high tankiness with common unique items.

This build doesn't really benefit from expensive items since all we really need is mana, I don't recommend getting Mageblood unless you are planning to go full defensive flasks.
Thanks for the guide, I'm really enjoying this build. I'd appreciate even more if your POB had REAL items. I mean, your POB has only perfect rolled items and it gives us the illusion that we are going to be anywhere near that damage, which we obviously can't.

You are not supposed to be overwhelmed, this is a spell caster build, play safe LIKE in the video.

no, you dont "need" it to have fun with the build already. just be aware that the biggest defense is its damage and you might die more often

I use Determination over Wrath and that helped quite a bit. Still die in T16+ pretty often though.
@@TH-dg2mm but it reserves 50% of your mana so it halves your archmage buff so what do you do to make up for it?
@@hdwq Nah you use Eternal Blessing support on it so it reserves 0 mana.
I've actuallly switched to a low-life ES version of this build. So now I use Eternal Blessing for determination, then reserve life to run Herald of Thunder and Discipline.

I tried this build because I thought that the huge life/mana pool would somewhat compensate for the complete lack of any defensive layers, but, unfortunately, it does not. This build feels great during leveling and early mapping, but you cannot juice red maps because it is too squishy. Maybe very good players can do T17 maps or uber-bosses with it, I can't.
Well, I was gonna try archmage hiero anyway, started the build and now struggling through levelling on t13-t14 maps. I hope there is some alternative version of tankier hiero mana archmage build if this will be a bait build :P
I am already doing Full juice T16 deli maps in the video with 100% increased map modifiers intensity, I took big hits and survived, the gimmick of this build isn't being immortal, it's dealing massive damage for cheap, you just need to know how to play it carefully.
@@PhoenixLive_YT Are you doing that with the PoB you linked? Because with this, I am struggling to understand how you are able avoid constant one-shots. You have no defensive layers. No Determination or Grace, no Evasion or Armour (6% chance to evade, 31% PDR), no Spell Suppression, no defensive historic jewel setup, no block, no Chaos Res, no Crit reduction. In you PoB, effective Hit Pool is 20k with Arcane Cloak, and 15k without, Phys Max Hit 8k, Chaos Max Hit 5k. I understand that glass cannon builds are a legitimate way to play, but you should mention in the video that this build is very (imo extremely) squishy.

It's not that high, just Damage taken from mana before life and 5 endurance charges.
Can't you just use Kalandra's touch ring instead of crafting the same ring again?
That's what I did :)
Kalandras touch was expensive when I uploaded this video, it made more sense to craft the same ring twice.
How To craft a ring, the fast explenation in video is not sufficent and also Veiled Chaos Orb are around 9-10 div so its risky for a newcomer to do all of this with locking suffixes etc.
I can't explain in detail how to craft rare items in every video because this is not a crafting video, I just shared the steps for those who already know how to craft.
As for vielded orb, it's not mandatory, just exalt slam life or mana and craft the other one yourself.

Although the main reason is that you can easily get the helm with +1 max power charge corruption, it's a common boss drop.
