My grandpa, who taught me how to fish, his name was Dale Haynes and his buddy, Gene Rushing, used to make their own buzz baits and plastics as well as crankbaits. This was late 70 early 80s in Springfield MO. You are a kindred spirit. I may have to grab some just to have them, I don't fish as much as I used to. I live in DC and fishing isn't the priority that it used to be. Love the channel, bud, keep it coming!!!!
Designing you own baits is awesome! I do it,myself as a hobby. It's a good feeling,that nobody else in the world has my tiny spinner baits,and chatter baits.

I've been thinking of making a video of night bass fishing, but here in Fl. we've got some "mondo" gators. I don't think I'll make it to the meet up.
Salt content is what I'm looking for in soft plastics. Great to hear that you guys put a lot of salt in your baits. Now comes the waiting process to get a package of these damn things.

Cannot believe how fast those baits sold out the first day. I got in there relatively early on and boom they were all sold out. Must have had a very low number for the beginning day. I did put my name on the list to be notified when they will be available again. They really look fantastic and can’t wait to get my hands on some of them. Btw I really like the renovation on the wall, really nice work too. Your home is coming along nicely. Heh, my attempt to brew my own beer when I was in college didn't really pan out either. In regards to the baits......the Mondo Worm is actually the one I'm the most interested in and it pleases me to hear that it works exactly the way I had assumed that it would when I was looking at pictures of them in the store. Side note for anyone looking for a 5/0 shakeyhead.....Dirty Jigs makes a great one for a reasonable price but Tactical Bassin recently did a video recommending them so good luck finding the damn things right now. Yup, they're on back order at TW until friggin August. I just checked :/.
So I work at a clamming facility, we make a product called calm broth concentrate. It is clam juice that has been concentrated, it is real salty due to the fact that clams are shucked by using salt, the reason I am mentioning this is, I have always thought that it would be a great additive to a soft plastic worm. Never had the chance to float the idea to anyone but its super salty clam juice. You couldn't ask for a better additive, if I had the ability I would try to create my own bait, watched you guys for a long time. If nothing else you might be able to ask your manufacturer about it.
Definitely digging the wall with the Mondo as a center piece, I can definitely visualize it growing more and more as you add some more PBs, some cool viewer made signage, etc... I do like the looks of that Mondo worm with that thumper flange on it, to give a different vibration and action to it over a standard ribbon tail. Give it a Dangle and God Bless. O:)
Commercial for googan baits is amazing! Makes me think of lethal weapon the daughters comercial, and the construction guy, "makes me want to go buy rubbers right now!" Obviously substitute rubbers for soft plastics😊

Are they going to be sold in Bass Pro or any retail store? I know this is the just the initial launch to see how well they sold. Just curious.

I've noticed that worms very similar to the beautiful 10" mondo worm work great on the waters and fish near me (central IL). the fish near me just absolutely smash that thing... if it has a chartreuse tail. I'm really wanting a few packs of these but wanting that chartreuse tail. I think you guys should make the exact same worm but just with a bright tail. you might not read this but just trying to bring attention to the only thing holding me back from snagging a few mondo worms.
Are you guys going to eventually have them available at Cabela's? Cuz I'll definitely buy some ☺ I'm a regular at my local Cabela's here in Ohio and always looking for new soft plastic baits that will work for the fish here in the Dayton, Ohio area where the fish are tricky 😂 lol
LFG, might want to look into some foam acoustic panels for the wall you are facing and any off camera corners when recording. They'll take away some of the reverb and slap back you're getting in the edit. The wall looks great but is not helping your sound.
How does it drop rigged weightless? I skip under a lot of docks both shallow and deep water. I have learned over the past few years that I catch a lot more bass when I incorporate the weightless skipping option. The Ole Monster is the best I’ve found for the big worm weightless skip. The mondo worm is intriguing me for a fit to my weightless rig up.
Do each of you googan fellers have a signature bait? I've seen you using the mondo, Rob using the dragon drop, and I think Jon was throwing a different one. Haven't got to watching Flair or Peric yet, so was wondering about that. Thanks for the videos!

It was a rather small first run batch. That is why they sold so quick. They are pretty good looking baits anyways.

Get a old cast bet nail it to wall and hang old craink baits on it and put a deer mount on it
