    Despite many others said it's too wrinkly, I like it. That said, I think that the colors of the hat and the ones of the character don't really get along well together, especially because the hat is less saturated. In any case, you did a good job!

    • @cg_cookie
      @cg_cookie  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, thanks! Ultimately these videos are less about what I made, and more about showing how I made it. Everyone is free to make it less wrinkly if they'd like! As for the colours, totally agree. I just wanted a quick render to close out the clip, didn't think about how it may clash with my poor Melvin's beautiful eyes. Thanks for checking it out! -Chunck :)

    here is how he got white lines at 05:00
    1) do not skip remesh important step
    - fill in the bottom of the hat with F when selecting the edges of the vertecises whole circle
    - select all the bottom lines of the hat , ( dont touch the middle of the hat just the outter lines)
    - hit E z and extrude bottom down to give it a strenght , if its too thin it will not work properly
    -then follow exacly how the gets rid of the bottom part
    2) now sculpting
    - in the mat cap tool ( find it in the viewpoint shading), change it to studio_
    - also check if the hat ( JUST THE HAT) has the subdivion and all modefiers disabled)
    then u can use the select the mask tool.
    Holding down CTRL and left click deletes it.....
