There was a woman who would spend hours before a show, just going through the tail by hand. She never brushed it. When you saw that tail it was amazing.
Thank you for this video. I have always used the old fashioned, hands only method. Discovered the Trophy Line products 2 weeks ago, however they are now going by the name "Mane-ly Long Hair". My friends andalusian was extremely dry and these products have put new life back in her tail hair. Working on 4 tails in the barn has converted 4 people to try these products for 2-3 months. I thought it was great that you showed the examining the dock for dander. I think a lot of people forget to check that.
I have a younger horse, turning two in a few days. She was feral and untouched for her first 7 months of her life. Not neglected just not handled by humans, my parents first started looking after her, treating her as if she was already broken in. Now, I’m starting to work with her more that the lighter nights are here I’m getting to work with her more. We have bought a harness for training her to drive, but I still can barely get behind her or go near her back legs, I was wandering if you had any tips on that? I’m slowly working towards it and just taking her time with it. I got her tail trimmed for the first time today, I had to pull it around the side and stand at her quarters and really take my chance with her. She swung a few times and it’s very difficult to handle her tail
my horses tail touches the ground she steps on it and it get twisted so its pain to brush out and its soooooo thick so I have to cut it which will be so much better doing it later today
do you have any tips for a grey horse's tail my Grey's tail has gotten thicker but her hair falls out more easily than a chestnut or bay or something. we've noticed that alot of grey horses' hair falls out a lot easier
Yes. My grey horse Regalo has the same problem. I find it helps to always keep the tail detangled with a good product. Google 'Manely Long Hair'. Their products are awesome and you can buy them straight from their website.
I recommend Cowboy Magic! All of their products are amazing and you can usually find them locally (in the USA) at stores such as Tractor Supply, CountryMax, etc. :)
Funktioniert prima, einfach mal ausprobieren 😊

I was trained in England and we were taught never to use anything other than our hands on the tail that every hair is precious

Do you recommend any shampoo for dandruff in a tail
It doesnt take 2 yrs for my miniature horse's tail to grow to the ground. Even before I changed his supplements.
I need some good detangler.......
