Ermm... Wolf, P-700 Granit is designed to sink a Nimitz class size target. One is enough to sink it. It was not designed for low profile vessels such as a submarine. Cornish folks are gonna be upset for shooting a missile up their coast (coast of Cornwall). Edit: Whitesand Bay at Land's End. Not English Channel.

Pity about the shipwreck vs LA class. Pretty sure that's a game mechanic, locking on to the center of the ship, rather than the portion of the ship visible to its sensors. Still, with such a massive warhead, even a near miss may have contributed to flooding.
It might have been better to use the pop-up mode against the submarine. That is designed to climb when it gets near the target and then strike it in a dive. A skimming attack on such a low target may have been asking too much.

The submarine encounters were unrealistic??? There is no possible way a soviet sub could get that close inshore to the UK, that close to RN naval bases. In the 80's you'd be dealing with Nimrods, Sea Kings, Lynxes even Shackletons as well as the surface ships and Submarines. The simple fact that off Cornwall, the British forces were literally nowhere, is hilarious!

The Iwo Jima and Essex are both in the Wasp class, so that was basically correct. It's strange that they call it a "Aircraft carrier strike group". The Iwo Jima and Essex are just LHDs, helicopter ships.
They are classified neutral by default, the oil platform is key enemy infrastructure and a legitimate wartime target. Was it a war crime when the US destroyed Iranian oil platforms in 1988? I would like the lives of the rig workers spared, maybe torpedoing a pylon might give them time to evacuate and still accomplish the destruction of the rig. Being so far behind enemy lines there is no way you can't surface and force the evacuation of the crew yourself.

Constructive feedback time.... there are time when you move the view around too much, too quickly and to twitchy, and it makes it very hard visually to watch... this most often happens when you dive under water to watch a torp or in this case to look at the sub sliding down the slope... I really enjoy your content and I make sure to click the like every time... try to slow your motions when you are zooming in and moving around objects.... thanx... ;)

The submarine encounters were unrealistic??? There is no possible way a soviet sub could get that close inshore to the UK, that close to RN naval bases. In the 80's you'd be dealing with Nimrods, Sea Kings, Lynxes even Shackletons as well as the surface ships and Submarines.
The simple fact that off Cornwall, the British forces were literally nowhere, is hilarious!

Could you please slow down on the erratic, wild, reckless abandon camera movement. You had mentioned the sliding sub, I couldn't tell until you actually stopped the camera, as opposed to continually jumping around to all kinds of various angles and contacts. I really do like your vids.

The Iwo Jima and Essex are both in the Wasp class, so that was basically correct. It's strange that they call it a "Aircraft carrier strike group". The Iwo Jima and Essex are just LHDs, helicopter ships.
No, I think this was an ancient Essex carrier. The LHDs I think started service in '91 if my memory is even close to working.

I would like the lives of the rig workers spared, maybe torpedoing a pylon might give them time to evacuate and still accomplish the destruction of the rig. Being so far behind enemy lines there is no way you can't surface and force the evacuation of the crew yourself.
