Hey guys, we're taking a look at an aeracobra today :0 the P-39N-0 to be specific, very nice plane at 3.0! Hope you enjoy, and dont forget to like, comment, share and subscribe for more! Have a great day :)
american aircraft that was at RAF Burtonwood near Warrington uk where, B17, B24, P-400 AIRCOBRA, Douglas A-26 Invader, b25, p47, p51, p38, B26 Martin Marauder, B-29, and many other american aircaft and british too
Ewwwww, it’s ugly! That’s coming from a guy who thinks the Do 335 is sexy tho. So I guess the lesson of the day is, options are like assholes. Everyones got one.
How the hell do you take a 335 over a p-39 for looks... those sleek, smooth lines rival the spitfire. It's nowhere near ugly, certainly not as much as many other planes in the game
Ian K Ummm, I think it has something to do with its exhaust pipes center body, with a center mounted engine. The nose is short because of this and it’s ugly. The canopy is ugly too imo. The P-40 is far better looking imo.
When you shoot all three calibers at once you might get a good 'overall spread', but the farther out you start firing the less effective the 37mm gets due to the slow velocity. It find it most effective at ranges between .3 - .1 km, so that's why I start firing at around .6 - .5 km with the small caliber, and when I get closer I try to get a hit with the 37mm in with no more than 2-4 taps usually. This works for most kills and produces less sparks.
@@jengar6258 Just looked it up on Wikipedia. The XP-39 is the prototype and the YP-39 is the service test model. P-39 in its various versions is the production model and the P-400 is an export model P-39 with down-tuned weapons. :)
Starting in this year, if you set someone on fire and leave, the whole team try to get the kill. So now everybody ks and nobody cares anymore (with some exceptions)
As a Spitfire player - these P-39-N are the bane of my life. If I can't avoid the head-ons which their pilots always want to force; then I'm just dead and done for! If I avoid it - they dive away and the Spit can't follow them. You were speaking of the 'kill steal' - you know, I'd still really like to hear what you're thinking as you fly. I understand you're describing and reviewing the aircraft first and foremost - but it would be so useful for us aspiring pilots who still don't too well. But fantastic video Sir!
@@RoonEnjoyer that's quit rare actually cause i don't find too many people who can do those especially on low tiers, but yeah i know that's how i fight the P39s in my E-4
The term “kill stealing” is trash. If someone got the kill before me, then they deserved it, especially taking out a target. One less baddy for me to worry about in a dogfight. People forget team work. That’s why I love working with a group of friends. No matter who gets the kill, the win matters.
agreed to a certain extend. It stops being teamwork though when the enemy is burning, spiraling to the ground and 3-4 allies dive after it to 'steal' the kill. Those scenario's can be called kill stealing without trashyness.
Hi Jengar, I love the way you conduct your review of each aircraft and was wondering if you will ever move over to reviewing tanks or ships? Nice review man, cheers!
Hi Jengar! Thx for the video! I'm climbing the ranks with the USA planes, only to get to tier5 for the helicopter, do you have any tips for which planes I should put talismans on?
P 400 wast export version of the P 39 and was a cheaper costing plane , no super charger which made it a very poor fighter , yet the P 39 was better all the way around of course How are you Boss , hope all is well for you and yours , The Texas Gent
Every propeller fighter in WW2 had a forced induction system such as a supercharger or turbocharger. Both the P-400 and the P-39 (and also P-40) didn't have TWO-SPEED superchargers, which made them only good at low altitudes. But they certainly had a supercharger with a single gear (speed). The P-39 and P-400 were the exact same plane except for the 20mm instead of 37mm. One wasn't better than the other. The P-39 models we have in game have engines of a different production block and are running a higher engine setting than the P-400, which is why it has better performance. But when the P-400 entered service it was no better or no worse than the P-39.
@@dogeness The British export models were renamed "Airacobra" in 1941. A further 150 were specified for delivery under Lend-lease in 1941 but these were not supplied. The Royal Air Force (RAF) took delivery in mid-1941 and found that performance of the non-turbo-supercharged production aircraft differed markedly from what they were expecting
so in comment yes they were with out turbo super chargers the engine numbers for the non turbo 38 and the non turbo P400 were basic same engine , So thank for the correction , But Pretty sure I was correct , Have a great day , The Texas Gent
P-400s were earlier models, equivalent to P-39Ds. The P-39N was a 1943ish plane which had an improved engine. The Russians mostly used the later models of P-39 which had a lot of improvements and may explain why they had better success than the US and Britain did initially with the P-39D/P-400 models in 1941/42.
You’re incorrect about the P-400. It wasn’t a prototype, but rather a designation for an export model of an early P-39 meant for the RAF, which swapped out the 37 mm cannon for a 20 mm. The Brits hated it, sent it back to the US, and we used it for a bit.
@@jengar6258 Another detail I forgot to add was that the P-400 was arguably even less liked by the USAAF than it was with the RAF. Its high altitude performance was even worse due to cost-cutting measures taken when making them (namely omitting the already anemic supercharger completely), and it was commonly referred to as "A P-40 with a Zero on its Tail", due to it having the same armament as the early P-40s (two .50s and four .30s) plus a 20 mm cannon. While the P-39's poor reputation in US service is largely undeserved (seeing as the very things that US pilots complained about turned out to be its biggest strengths when flown by the Soviets), the P-400 just kinda sucked.
Reyon88 In my experience the Cobra’s cannon is reasonably reliable. It can “hit”, true, but I find that it scores critical damage frequently enough to work, and you only need 1 Crit shell to destroy most planes The gun is also much more forgiving stock than the NS-37 on the Yak 9T is If you ever find yourself wanting more amp tho, the A-10 and C-5 models of the bigger brother, the king cobra, can take 58 shells along with a slightly higher RoF

Thx mate!

Can you do the ki-61 hei please I haven’t seen a video on this plane in a while
I’m pretty sure the P 400 was the export version of the P 39. The difference was that the engine was turned down for the export version.
wasnt it a prototype?

Soviet ace Pokryshkin used his Aircobra like you do, including high speed attacks and firing all guns at once.
Great minds think alike ;)

I love using the aeracobra because it’s got extreme agility, heavy firepower, and is pretty damn fast
great plane indeed!
If a problem comes along YOU MUST WEP IT!
hehe, yeah, throttle management can be vital ;)
The 37mm at that BR is insane. I love one-two shotting everything
its fun when they explode aye! :)
Great video bro! This is my second favorite plane!
which is 1?
Which is your most favorite plane
I haven’t played this game for a long time but I still love watching your vids :D
This plane is my absolute favourite, its super fast for 3.0, has decent guns and can dogfight really well especially against 109s its good
unless the 109 pilot uses his brain to energy trap you

I got it to hit 0.88 mach, It didn't break!!

Jengar I can understand that- when the whole team dives for a Bomber- They get swatted and your left with no protection.
unless the guy is flat spinning and someone swoops ur kill
You have hit on the essence of this plane very well. Keep it fast and it will last. Thanks for posting.

Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space…
Eyy ik heb een vraag voor de volgende video kan je de duitse cl13 nog eens uit probeeren?
I love flying the P-39N Take this baby to the heavens and drop in on the little birds
Really good review, keep it up God bless
Thanks Drew! Will do! o7
It needs more pen for the 37 and the rockets to be good for its intended job like y cant I tear apart a light tank from the roof like bruh
if you use the airtarget belt for the 37mm and then shoot at wings the wing wil just cut off like butter trust me
if you hit aye
Thanks for the vid. Really enjoyed you're the best.
But 18sec turrentine top speed around 900 put prop fathering 70% and mixture 70% improves the performance a lot
Non BiS MiG 15 plz jengar. Airbrake seems very important for maneuverability when on enemies tail
Can you make a video/tutorial how to CAS (bomb) with P-39N-0?
i might make a tutorial about cas in general. but not plane specific.
OG C8 corvette

planes that you’re confident in
When did the mg ammo count get nerfed?
Sorry for being a noob but just wondering how you get bonuses around 5000 sl for kills at that BR? Booster I'm assuming?
yes
@@ausos4503 thx
Hey @jengar have you seen the ki200 glitch
Russian p-39 is about 200 km/h slower than the original American one. Fascinating logic from gaijin 🤣
i seriously doubt that. That difference at the br is huge. would mean this one sits around 300 in a straight line. Which cant be the case.
oh.. 37 mm. now i know why i die always because of him
roger.
i also used to think that this plane was a female. Maybe becuase of the rounded shape? idk
All planes get female names

p39 nr1
I shoot dwon a Ki 44 in a dive only whit the 7.62 and 12.7 those..50 cal can crit the tail control o set fire a fuel tank.
50. cal bias and japanese planes love burning
I dont get it. I hit my shots like u do with other planes and u get a kill but wen i do it with my spitfire mk vb i only get a hit and thats it
it's because of the 37mm bruh
Hm, I thought it was spelled with an i instead of an E like ariacobra
Airacobra?
wat happen to u? u sound really depressed
listen.....it has ROkETS
Why is everyone talking about this plan is agile? this plane cant turn worth anything. i get out turned, out gunned, out ran.
well, its not a dedicated turnfighter, thats for sure. but at speed, its quite alright.
