John Burns this was after he got out of jail and the band went on tour wearing prison jumpsuits. They would open their sets with police sirens and bad boys, it was hilarious.
the first concert I took my wife to. Cradle of Filth and Type O Negative @The Electric Factory in Philadelphia pa. Dec. 16 2003. The following year we went to Ozzfest and she was 8 mo. pregnant.
Seen these guys in Houston around this time and they were on point and sharper than a fucking razor. They had some technical difficulties early in the set but they really fucking killed it that night. We were pinned up on the front row and it was unreal. Definitely one of the most unique concerts I've ever been to. The best part was when they were playing this song and EVERYONE was singing along to every word. I remember I kept high fiving the dude next to me even though I didn't know the guy. It was like, YEAH!
@V3770 pete was a huge Beatles fan...had the pleasure of meeting him a few times, talked music , construction job i was on at the time lol....great dude ...
Seems like he was geopolitical visionary and appreciated strong leaders, independent from the US, which is becoming World trend today lol Or he was just kidding... unless not?
@asbestosinhaler april is the cruelest month breeding lilacs out of the dead land mixing mixing Memory and desire, stirring Dull roots with spring rain.
@RmsteinTypeONegtve nope, just quoting T. S. Eliot's the waste land, in reference to when kurt cobain, layne staley, peter steele and ronnie james dio died, all in april
Spot on, 557721...the good girls always fall for the assholes while the good guys always get used and burned by the bitches. If this existence on this planet isn't an emotional hell, I don't know what is.
OK beautiful, TON is My Fav-Band. Johnny needs to slow down during the bridge with the double-kick part. I don't know, maybe that's the way decided to play it live, but I like music on consistent timing. Either Way, it is Great!
Well no way in hell it was at the troc that place is a shoo box. I miss the troc its been over * years since i was last there or in Philly. Never did get to see one of there Halloween shows at the troc.
Hell , county Jail sucks ,, Oh and I noticed also that johnny is playing the double bass part on the bridge faster than the studio version . but he can .. becuse he was right on time ,coming back into it . But these guys where flawless when I last saw them at the dead again tour , just hope they hit the west coast again soon
@V3770 "But Alot of there song's are the same note's&riff's of The Beatles but just played backwards By Type -O- Negative" [citation needed] there's no way this is factual. i know about the influences he had stated, but this is simply not true.
man, here i sit thinking why havnt they released any recent shit, fuck me for not knowing about Peter Steele, who the fuck else is gone that i dont know of
I saw this tour in Vegas in 2003, Cradle of Filth came on after them. It was an awesome show, but Pete and the guys looked so bored up there. lol Must have been hung over or something.
Type O is fucking awesome, but ol' Pete doesn't seem to be too interested in putting much effort into performing these days, just going through the motions for a paycheck.
The only, ONLY time I haven't seen Mr. Steele with a green shirt. RIP Pete!
