Absolutely phenomenal. I am a year into my 79 cj7 restoration. Hoping to finish it up this winter. seeing your successful project has got me even more excited to finish up and get it back on the road
Thanks for the help. I have done this conversation successfully with the 1" body lift as you suggested. Got it back from my painter buddy a few months ago (radiant fire red) Thanks for the videos and helpful advice. Excited to get back on the road with the cj7 classic look! 👍
Pure Gold! I've been waiting for this day as long as you! Attention to detail, second to none! Bob, the decals are perfect against the color. Now its time to enjoy all your hard work. Just in time for summer.
Hey Bob! Great job for sure. I starting to build my jeep. Its a 1993 YJ tub and everything else is CJ. Body and frame are pristine, so should be a fairly clean build. I'd love to see your parts list and prices as you mentioned. Please keep the great video's coming.
I just found you tonight as I'm researching the Pro Flo 4 system for I build I started earlier this year. Beautiful work Bob, Jeep didn't them that nice when new. And O.H... also caught your banner on the wall M.A..
Re: hot starts - do you have a return or return-less fuel system? EFI - shouldn't matter as much but just a thought. Sorry if I missed the memo in a previous video. Thanks for sharing.
I have a yj and a 5.3 and I want to copy your Jeep.. where did you get the CJ hood and fenders? ...actually....is there a build series for this ? Thanks!
Great job Bob, a couple questions. Did you use the stock steering box and also did you use a drop pitman arm? My Jeep is set up like yours with a 2.5” lift but also a 1” body lift. Some say yes some say no to the drop arm. How’s your steering?
Yep! Hindsight 20/20 I would have done the frame with it too. Very durable as long as you put it on thick enough. Stands up to heat and chips etc in my experience too.
@@Smokeroux Cool, no adapter needed for the front axle.... not sure what you mean. This was YJ so the runnign gear might have been different than whats on your scrambler. I used a Jeep trans instead of the 4l80e so our projects are rather different.
Hi. I’ve sold nearly every restoration project so I could afford to start the next one. Not sure what I’ll do with this Jeep. Do I build for others? The short answer is no, I’m just a guy who does this in my spare time.
Bob, I have a few questions, What instrument gauges did you go with, is your dash "double d" manufactured and lastly the padded dash? What year jeep did that come out of?

Awesome stuff! Totally worth it in the end!
I love it, I've been thinking about mashing up a YJ with a CJ for 10 years you have inspired me

Amazing!!!! You did a fantastic job on your restoration. I am planning to go back through the entire series and take some notes. Cheers!!!!!
.... you mean the same way I watched your videos? Pen and paper in-hand!! Thanks Mike.

Time lapse of you installing parts!
And a good exhaust video!
Ask and you shall receive. Next video will have both of those things!
It’s so god damn beautiful😍
A proper Renegade! That engine sounds great.
Outstanding job good sir and any auto-body mechanic will tell you attention to detail is key and you nailed it very well done sir
What a fantastic build!
Thank you sir, and might I add, you have a fantastic name.
That is so Awesome! Proud of you as always Nephew!
Beautiful job
Simply beautiful .

Beautiful job. I plan to do the CJ nose job on my YJ. I plan to put a 1" body lift on first as advised by one of your videos.
Good call. I think a 2” body lift would prob be better, but I think that might also look a little cheesy
@@BobWilson84 thanks for the reply. Did you have any videos on drop tailgate? I can't remember if you did the conversion.
@@chrisrice4006 no sir, I kept the YJ gate.

Heck ya, glad you liked the banner! Thanks for the kind words, i would use the Pro Flo again in a heart beat. Good luck with your project
Awesome job!
Thanks man... a few weeks later than yours!
Nice job, looks better than factory so far...
Re: hot starts - do you have a return or return-less fuel system? EFI - shouldn't matter as much but just a thought. Sorry if I missed the memo in a previous video. Thanks for sharing.
It’s got a return. I think the rough hot starts are going away as the computer continues to learn.
Hi Bob, are you willing to sell your CJ? I love it!
Does the body line on the CJ fender (following the wheel opening) continue onto the CJ tub?
Hi do you have the paint code and color of the tan you used. Jeep turned out very nice. I’m want to paint my cj7 the same color.
The color is called Almond Beige. Don’t have the code handy.
how do the brakes work now with that ls
Chalk test those tires buddy!
Thanks for all the compliments Jeremy. And I never knew about the chalk test! Thanks for that pointer. I’ll try that out for sure.
I have a yj and a 5.3 and I want to copy your Jeep.. where did you get the CJ hood and fenders? ...actually....is there a build series for this ? Thanks!
Yep, I made a specific video about the CJ clip install. I ended up with all aftermarket except the grille which was an original CJ5
hi where did you get the steering column dash trim. thanks
Hey, I made it with lexan plastic.

What length for the front and rear driveshafts did you end up with ?
Hey, I didn’t write that down… I think I had em both made by Tom Woods
what radiator did you use??
It was a custom radiator, I won’t recommend the brand because it had a pinhole leak in one of the welds.
Are you 100% happy with using the raptor lining?
Yep! Hindsight 20/20 I would have done the frame with it too. Very durable as long as you put it on thick enough. Stands up to heat and chips etc in my experience too.
What front axle is that?
Stock Dana 30.

Are you planning on selling this CJ?
Hello, I ended up selling it to a great guy in Texas. We talk every so often, and I think this Jeep is in a much nicer climate now.
@@BobWilson84 awesome dude. Excellent job. Congratulations!
I would have done the 4.0 swap instead
That’s cool too. Both options are better than the wore out 4 cylinder that was in it!

Hi, I bought a bare dash no holes from double D. The pad is aftermarket new from Omix or crown, I forget.
