@@Mordra I think you forgot about Korn in 1994. Not saying Meshuggah aren't incredibly influencial, just not really for bringing 7 strings on the scene particularly
When I listen to Meshuggah I think of little fuzzy bunnies and happy deer prancing through the forest on a brisk autumn day. The serene guitar picking of the band inspires happy childhood memories like sipping hot coco on a blustery winter day curled up by a roaring fire in a warm sweater.
Most other bands speed up their tempo when they play live but I love how Meshuggah slows theirs down...it adds so much more to the heaviness of the song.
@axistro2309 this post is 4 years old and you dug up this fossil to correct somebody's name? In English it's marten because we don't have those characters in our alphabet.
Meshuggah, indisputably among the most innovative and important bands in metal history… their polyrhythmic grooves revolutionizing metal from the 2000s onward and influencing countless others…. is playing the “Snickers Stage”.
I've always appreciated this song, but it keeps getting deeper. It's rare that I appreciate the whole span of a bands contribution, but I like their early stuff and their current stuff. I can't get enough. I hope the 2016 album is awesome.
I know the whole band and song is insanely genius but no one seems to mention the part after second solo starting 4:20 Been losing my marbles to that for more than a decade now haha
created wayyyyy before 2005, find something else.. add the fact if their were camera, it was for a dvd version of the concert... pretty sure they weren't filming this dvd in 360p.
You do realize that most DVD had a screen resolution inferior to 360p, right? While full HD resolution existed around 2005 (only available to big movie studios, by the way), there's hardly any chance that this video comes straight from the raw camera feed, which means it's most likely a downscaled source meant for TV broadcasting. Want HD? Then go ask for the original masters.
If this is the best I'd hate to hear the worst.... I had never listened to Meshuggah before today and now I know what hell must sound like (this isn't meant to be a compliment, either)
I believe that there is no band heavier than Meshuggah - this is just awesome. I love the bit where they go from sounding like Al Di Meola from the 70s to one of the heaviest passages of music ever from about 2.30.
Everytime I listen to this song while high, I always had visions of the future being like "The Terminator", but more down to earth, just like the song (sort of) says: "our evolution into full integration of human machine..." we all know it's going to happen at some point. It's inevitable, we need the tech in order to speed our old software which is just too slow evolving on it's own to keep up with times, computer humanoids with downloaded consciousness/personalities/Human experiences are inevitable.

Given that no one mentioned it, the bass tone here is absolutely killing.
Tell the editor to fucking chill, jesus. I can appreciate the breakdown without having an epileptic seizure in the process.
Zach Eagan Watching this gave me a headache. And it wasn't the music...
Their Grooves niggah. Go listen to Attila or for the fallen dreams for breaks downs.
He was way into it, couldn't control himself. The metal was too powerful
go to a meshuggah show, you'll get a seizure there anyway regardless lmaoo
It's not the editor, this is just footage the director is cutting the cameras.
