I dont know which i like better, the body of the vid with it’s humor, awesome editing, perfect pacing - or the bonus clips and the commentary. I guess i wont have to decide as they are both in the same video! Keep up the awesome work! I too am a Shimano shoe fan because of the fit more than the “cooool” factor.

Damn, that was scary at the end! Good job stopping as the other biker took no action to avoid a collision 💥
I just got a new pair of Lake CX332 and absolutely love them. Just cooked them in the oven to mold the heel 😂. Definitely an interesting experience cooking road shoes in the oven! They fit like a glove now 😀

Recently, after long years on Sidis and few weeks on Fizik (not my type) bought Vittoria Legend leather shoes. These are the most comfortable shoes I ever put my feets on! They simply hug you. Probably not the best for sprinting, but for long days on saddle they are the best I’ve tried.

I'm more of a mountainbiker, but quite enjoy your videos. That said, I tried clipless pedals today for the first time. I think I'm keeping my flat pedals. (yes, I fall down four times, not beeing able to unclip in time)
Maybe riding in snowy conditions also wasn't the best idea...

    • @Ropetable
      @Ropetable 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

i rode clipless for a while, there are usually 2 versions of cleats, the one exit and multi exit models. the multi exit cleats allowed me to automatically unclip when i "panik" while falling down. i use both flats and clipless now, for any serious mountainbiking i will not use clips again. It does feel amazing though being able to controll your bike fully.

@@Ropetable I believe that only applies to Shimano, I personally found crank brothers pedals easier to unclip and to clipe in with muddy shoes. I moved from Shimano to Crank in 2013 and never looked back. I still ride Shimano SPD SL on the road bikes though.

Great shoe for anyone who likes the convenience and durability of SPD mountain cleats but likes the look and weight of road shoes. If you don’t need wedges to cant the shoe, this and A520’s are a great combo, with wide support under the shoe. Adds a little bit of weight but well worth it if you are commuting or just riding into town.

No question. After years on top shelf Sidi’s, highly regarded for their energy to pedal enhancing stiffness, and gorgeous carbon soles, but oh so slick surface for quick pedal engagements. These Shimano S-Phyres with the Michelin rubber mid-soles are absolutely sublime. No fear of sliding off pedals in slick conditions. I have two pairs. A blue and silver. Your beauties are, as you say the newest generation, and are def on my radar once available here in the US. BTW, walking more easily in the coffee shops, etc is paramount, so these shoes work for all occasions. Whether it be on brisk group rides or roads less traveled. Love them. The new secret sauce in cycling shoes as far as I’m concerned. Ride safe and ride often. Peace

That would work for me, the RX8 in a 45 E did not fit me, while I have been using rp3 in 45 E for a while. I think it was the closure system difference, 3 velcro vs boa. RX8 wasn't wide enough in the pinky toe for me. But I have Lake MX237 now, so other than heavy and being not white, I am set for a while.

I just got the Northwave Mistral Plus in a 45. Usually im a 45, I confirmed that with my wrong purchase of a set of shimano MTB shoes in 44.
So I had high hopes for the NW shoes, how wrong I was. They where WAY to big. I even went to the shop and tried some NW in 44 and could not fit me.
So I ended up buying a set of Shimano RC7 and they fit perfectly.
I then noticed on the 2 boxes. The NW in size 45 is a US size 12 but the Shimano size 45 is only a US size 10.5. Thats pretty strange.

Hi Tobias. I recently had an accident where my roadie jumped off a few rumblers and we both lost balance and fell. A wound opened near the knee joint where it meets the shin and has been stitched up. I intend to get back on the cycle as soon as I heal. Would you recommend some safety gear for the joints? I'm using a helmet and gloves, but i don't know what gear to invest in for the joints. @@donttouchthisatall depends whether you want road or offroad. I've ridden their top end models. Not amazing to be honest. I ride shimano road and offroad on hot days. Never had a problem.

I love and ride Shimano shoes however for hot summer mountain climbs along with my PZero SL´s sub7Kg aero bike setup:
(Tip: white colour version is a bit lighter) Cosmic Ultimate III.
PS: I´m sorry but Tipical IDIOT. Wrong side, freezes whilst steering the bike towards the incoming traffic and no sorry or something... Seen this already multiple times and pretty lucky RoJ didnt had a slippery ditch or something and the guy stopped closing the gap.

Good reminder why only noobs pin the descents in 2022. Too many things can go wrong. If you were going for it then both of you would be cooked from him zoning out and over into your lane.
What camera and mic did you record that downhill with? Worked so good.
