The manager's enunciation and pronunciation of English was very good. Gaining fluency
is quite difficult to achieve in any second language if there is little opportunity to use it exclusively all day for extended periods. There was a good example of this on an American TV morning show clip. The hostess was interviewing a group of visiting Dutch students and who, she assumed, was their "American minder". When she asked what part of the USA he was from, it turned out he was also a Dutch student ! One of the students constant "exercises" was watching Hollywood movies on the internet every evening, repeating the lines over and over, until they mastered the dialogue.

I am an Indian and I feel this is simple humiliation why we Asians have to learn good English to be smart in our own country we have our own languages look at the europian countries they don't bother also to be able to speak in fluent or little bit in English then why us the indians, pakistanis & other asian countries have to learn good English leaving back our own country language to be smart
As a European I can say that some of the more powerful Euro countries like France, Russia, Spain Italy and Germany are more resistant to that type of behaviour from Americans and British, which I first thought was strange but now I have come to understand it.
Unfortunately many of us smaller European countries have English as a must for any type of higher pay grade jobs/educations and it is also seeping into our own language.
All I can say for Indians is the same I say to my own countrymen, be proud of your heritage and languages.

Whenever I go to a 5 star or something I make sure to speak completely in my own language i.e Bengali and sometimes Hindi but never in English . Remember it is one of the requirements of 5 star employees to be proficient in other Indian languages too other than English so nothing to be ashamed of .
In Japan and China they're not ashamed to speak in their language wherever they might go .
Even in Europe as well many countries don't know e nglish 🙏

That's truly sad. My mother at age of 50 wants to join a college and learn more. She graduated long back and never really joined a job. But now that she wants to, she is sacred to learn english. After her one year of college she felt uncomfortable to attend seminars etc. I encourage her to learn more, but this fear of not knowing english has affected many meaningful conversations.

English is important since more than half of the world's population either speaks or understand English. English is now mixed with our mothertongue so hating on a language is absolute stupidity however insulting for not knowing a language is unacceptable.
