    As the artist for the second leviathan, I gotta say 2 things: 1.I really loved the first one! Something about it says simple, efficient killing machine and I vibe with it. 2.Totally forgot to add the name for mine 😅 but it was originally supposed to be called the Hellclaw Leviathan. The first Leviathans attack could be he grabs on to the seamoth/prawn suit with secondary claws, then stab the glass with his main claws. His way of hiding could be he latches onto a cliff or the ground hiding himself from other fish with his colors blending into the surroundings when any fish waltzes by, he attacks. His ability could probably be his back can change color confusing prey/predators (all though I don't know what those could possibly look like) and putting them into a trance while he attacks/gets out of there. It's kill animation would be it tearing you apart, and the name of this leviathan would be the Cuddlebug Leviathan.

  • @Iamacrab
    @Iamacrab 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    The fourth Leviathans attack would be similar to the reapers attack, (but way more terrifying) it would latch onto your cyclopes, seamoth, and prawn suit, with its main claws, after latching on it would try to bite through the glass and eat you. Its way of hiding would be it latching on to pretty much anywhere and there until something swims by, when this eventually happens it will shoot itself forward with its hind legs and swallow it whole. (unless it's to big of course, then it will stay still) This Leviathans ability is this creatures eyes can see greater than any animal can during the night, it will appear as day to them, the way he can turn it off is by changing his eyes color to grey, it will also give them greater camo but less vision. His second ability is it uses it's legs to boost himself forward off of surfaces in the circumstance of a chase. The kill animation would be you getting swallowed whole, and the name would be the Donzoko Leviathan.

    The first could just pierce through all of your equipment with those spikes on the front claws. I'm not good at naming but since translucent leviathans are called ghost leviathans I guess this could be the mantis leviathan. Also my leviathan idea:
    Hunter Leviathan
    It's a combination of my two favorite overpowered crustations, the peacock mantis shrimp and the bullet shrimp. They are both quite similar, but the peacock mantis shrimp has a "spear version". The bullet shrimp has one gigantic claw, about half the sice of its own body. Both fingers (no idea what it's actually called) are controlled by two muscles that stretch each other and build up incredibly force. When released the force splits water and creates and air bubbles which immediately implodes which creates a (stoney?) hitting sound. It gets hotter than the surface of the sun and basically cooks their target. They live in colonies and communicate with the hitting sound. It gets very loud and also incredibly hot. But the Hunter Leviathan is a lonely creature.
    The peacock mantis shrimp uses a similar mechanism to the bullet shrimp, but just punches or has spear like arms instead of claws which shoot out 50 times faster than we can blink to stab its prey. It's ideal to their lifestyle because they live most of their lives in holes.
    The Hunter Leviathan is of course much bigger than the shrimps, about 35m long. It has one big claw and a spear arm. Due to its sice the force released is far more powerful. It doesn't use the heat but the suction force of the small vortex created when clapping. It uses it to suck its prey near it and then immediately stab right through it. Like both of the shrimps it needs a lot of energy, in other words food to use its claw and spear. It's constantly on the hunt, therefore its name. So it's always hostile, but prefers the largest prey nearby. When you see it, you should immediately run away because the spear's range is massive and it can even suck you near it.
    It lives in tropical areas like the peacock mantis shrimp and is also rainbow colored like it.

    (8:25) Titanes Arachnid, meaning Titan spider, it likes to stay in deep and unknown habitats like the lost river or the ghost leviathan nest, when found it takes a defensive state and hides in a cave, it will hypnotise its Prey/Player until they go into a complete trance, the player won’t be able to move if he or she looks at the spider for no longer then 12 seconds, after there in the trance, the spider would slowly move up to the player and open its mouth to quickly swallow the player whole.
    But there is a way to combat this affect, the prawn suit has a lining of a tough plastic within the glass to give it some extra strength, the plastic is a sort of sub screen for it, and you would be able to combat the beast with your suit, the same goes with the sea moth and the cyclops

    The first 2 were the ones I liked most.
    For the first leviathan I'd call it the "Creeper Leviathan"
    It's ability would be to stealthily crawl around the seabed and cliff-face of the Void. It's passive camouflage would aid in keeping itself hidden.
    When a player, a sub, or any prey item gets close enough, it will lunge at it using it's sharp and spiny claws to hook into it and kill it. If it's unsuccessful in catching it the first time it will chase it until it does catch it, or until it gets fed up and returns to it's territory.

    4:50 Scorpion Leviathan. I think it could hide in nearby caves, like, a big one, or even make its own, and use its eye to locate prey. This one seem like one where it can see a huge part of the ectromangnetic spectrum, so it see you clearly through almost any material. I think it could also use those claws the implale the player and bring them to its mouth, as well as grab the cyclops, and swing it to try and break it.

    5:19 it attacks by grabbing you with the two large front pincers and moving you towards its mouth, the shredding from all the small spikes helps as pre-digestion. It attaches to the rock by grabbing with the large pincers under the main pair, and also grabbing onto the rocks with its powerful three back tentacles. It camouflages by having a similar coulor and texture to the rock it is hiding on, and uses its large upwards facing eye to spot prey as it swims above.

I feel like the way it would camoflage itself is by it's color, as you can see, it is the color of it's surroundings, so I would expect it to be in the lost river, maybe under all that underwater mist stuff. all that you can see under it to alert it is there, is the eyes, and if it gets too close, it grabs you and attempts to bury you under the sea bed. I call it, the Burrow Spider Leviathan! (I'm not too good at naming things)
    edit: it can also grab onto you, and dig with it's front claws.

It could either hide in holes in the cliffside or it could cover itself with sand like the sicarius genus of recluse spiders, which would also mean they could have venom. Since sicarius spiders are a group of recluse spiders their venom would likely cause necrosis of the bite area.

    I have some names for the creatures
    1. The mimic leviathan. It buries the entirety of its body in the sand, with only its gemstone like eye peeking out, its tails mimic seaweed or other underwater fauna. When the player approaches the "seaweed" to obtain materials, it enthrals them, and impales them with their massive claws in a split second
    The mantis shrimp looking one, i call the clamp down leviathan. It has all the behavioural features as described, with its rock smashing claws being its main form of attack
    The earwig resembling one, i dubbed the venom leviathan. Its dark colour palette allows it to hide on cave walls, scuttling around without a sound. When it spots prey, it rears up, its tail in full grabbing position, and it lunges as fast as lightning, biting and stabbing the prey with any means necessary, including submarines.
    The final one i call the Terror leviathan. It hides on the ocean floor, secreting a mysterious liquid from the gaps in its shell. This liquid, when creatures ingest it, causes an irrational sense of fear that paralyses them. Once they've been subdued, this creatures acute sense of its surroundings let's it know dinners served. It crawls out of its hiding place, and jumps, grabbing the soon to be meal with its pincers, and walks to a nearby cave to feast.

    I feel like the last one would camouflage itself just by staying still and wait for its prey, using its very rock-like skin/exoskeleton to blend in with the cliff-face environment, much like how a frog fish makes itself look like coral or stones covered in algae. Except attacking much like a tarantula in waiting, lunging itself at its prey and dragging them in. Just without the webs

  • @averageguy5492
    @averageguy5492 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    @ 5:28 I think a way it could camouflage itself is by (although its not actual camo,) burying itself into the cliff waiting for smaller prey to cross its path, similar to the trap door spider. They it would capture its prey is taking a big bite into it to inject special enzymes ( the idea was from the way starfish feed) that paralyse it, then proceed to drag it into its burrow, then proceeding to eat it alive. Thus naming it; the trap leviathan. Btw it would feed on other smaller trap leviathans and ghost leviathans. Using the pressure of the water to detect prey as it is half blind.

    Unlike last time, these are all winners in their own rights. But if I were to rank them, I’d pick: $45 - 1st, $20 - 2nd, $100 - 3rd, and $60 - 4th.
    Once again I’m a huge fan of that artists work. I like the choice of colour, the mantis shrimp colour scheme and patterns are very appealing to me and I find it unique, and I like the idea of the venomous bite (my thoughts are that when it grabs your seamoth/prawn suit and let’s go, there’s an acid/poison damage that continues lowering the vehicles health for a short time).

  • @steve_urchin8536

    My idea for a leviathan is called the phantom leviathan. It would be able to temporarily become almost completely invisible, with a bit of distortion around where it would be swimming. It would be blind, and use echolocation to see, which is a lot of clicks. It would be around the same size as a reaper, and scanning it would allow you to make a cloaking device for the cyclops. I’m not sure which biome it would be in.
    So just imagine you’re swimming around and you start hearing clicks, and they keep getting louder and faster until they stop, and the creature uncloaks, and kills you. If that isn’t terrifying, tell me, what is?

  • @DoctorTaifun
    @DoctorTaifun 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    For the last one, i came up with these:
    Aracno leviathan
    Threat level: 98/100
    This massive spider-like creature is almost the size of the sea dragon leviathan. It has 6 legs and 2 massive pinchers that can be used to tear up prey. It can travel at 59mph, and can climb walls, or even climb on the cyclops,and start tearing it up. It's got 4 eyes, big, used to see prey super easily. It has 8 massive teeth, used to bite out big chunks out of it's prey.
    side note: This creature is deaf, meaning it's atracted to light, and can be found near the cove tree in lost river guarding the ghost leviathan eggs.

  • @tymunster
    @tymunster 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    1. Sea Scorpion Leviathan
    Has a basic form of camoflage where it has a texture and color palette resembling the ocean floor.
    3. Widow Leviathan
    Lives in the void, and it can become partially translucent to avoid detection when combined with its dark colors. It can float or cling to rock, depending on how deep in the void it lives. It could also live in a new biome, like a lost river kind of biome (I'm thinking massive tubey cave)
    4. Admiral Leviathan
    Seems pretty obvious based on its design, its similar to a cuttlefish with chromatophores and I'll add that it can partially bury itself in the sand like number one. It can slice your vehicle in half with its claws, and thus the game with this leviathan would have a vehicle which is much more segmented, like a load of tiny gyrospheres.

    Hides in the sand and on cliffs, leaving only its eye visible. When it sees nearby prey, it will lunge out of the sand, and attempt to grab it with its pincers. If unsuccessful, it will use its legs to chase prey, occasionally using its tentacles as a propeller for extra speed. Due to its size it is theorized that its natural prey was sea emperor leviathans, but after their extinction was forced to eat reaper and sea dragon leviathans

  • @CT--bb6ov

    I think the 100 dollar one (the last one) would use a new biome called the pits biome a biome that would be small but have pits that were say 235 meters deep and as you go down there are little crevasses like small caves that poke into the sides and the creature would use the cave entrances to to hide its legs and parts of its body to make it look like the wall and the only way to tell that the creature is there is the eyes
    When a seamoth gets close it would rap one of its legs around the seamoth and dive down to crush depth instead of dealing damage but you could escape its grasp by either using a shock ability or upgrade to shock the leg and be able to then run OR or waiting till you get to the bottom to flee back up
    Or if the cyclops got to close it would jump out and wrap its legs around the cyclops
    It’s just a suggestion but I still have no name for it so yea

    I think the $20 dollar creature could be made smaller and work by camoflaging itself to the cave walls of the lost river by just blending in naturally, and if the player comes to close itll leap at them and latch on. The latch itself would deal 20 damage and the creature has a random chance of nipping for 10 damage multiple times over the next 5 or 10 seconds, but never enough to deal 100 damage. Its main function would be to drag the player down, away from their submersable and if in the lost river into the brine, where the player may drown or take heavy damage, in which case the creature would feed on the corpse, while you are busy spawning back at your habitat.

    This is just what I'd think would be fitting for these Leviathans lore and ability wise
    *The Cave Crawlid Leviathan*
    (20$)
    Found in caves located on the two well-known islands,the older cousin of the Cave Crawler hangs on the ceilings of caves and other similar locations in order to ambush it's prey,these fellows will remain dormant until meeting contact with light (Flashlights,Flares and so on),
    When the player shines their flashlight in the large predator's resting grounds (just in the specific room and will follow if it has enough space) they will enter their aggressive state and chase the player following them along walls and ceilings until they are in grab range as to where they use their claws to grab and instantly kill the player
    They can also be found in caves below 350 altitude (but not in Dunes,Mushroom Forest and Bulb Zone) and can grab your Seamoth/Prawn suit dealing 20% damage to the Prawn and 50% to the Seamoth
    These are similar in size to a Reaper although visibly smaller in length and have a rare chance to spawn (there are 6-10 in total covering the map being in almost every biome other than the Safe Shallows,Grassy Plateau,Kelp Forests,Mushroom Forests,Bulb Zone,Sea Traeder's Path,Crash Zone and Underwater Islands)
    *The Coral Arachnid Leviathan*
    (60$)
    Similar to the Warpers,these machines built by the predecessors hunt the infection and kill anything carrying it
    These fearsome predators lay rest in the Dunes,Crash Zone and Grassy Plateau on the very seafloor being disguised as mere coral,they will not attack the player unless infected and although slow can deal 40% damage to your Seamoth,they cannot leave the immediate area of their ambush spot but move rather fast while not being able to swim,a fearsome foe for the Prawn Suit
    *The Nihonhimea Leviathan*
    (100$)
    Lurking the deep,dark ravines of the mountains this massive spider dashes rapidly across walls and will grab all of your vehicles (including The Cyclops) with it's four front legs if approached dealing 60% to the Prawn and Cyclops and killing the Seamoth with the player inside of it
    (Thank God there would be only one on the entire map)
    Despite how dangerous they are they will not attack unless provoked..that is if you aren't caught in the webs near it's patrolling area,getting caught in them will alert the Arachnid and get you slow you down immensely unless you use a blade or defense system to cut out of it,entering a web without a vehicle will get you permanently stuck until the Leviathan reaches said web
    It WILL chase you to the Shallows if not fast enough
