NOAA Weather Alert radio (WR-120) - Severe Thunderstorm Watch #1 - Dallas/Ft Worth area

NOTE: Skip ahead to 2:20 to jump to the alert.
What a way to start off the New Year here in the Dallas area. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for the D/FW area and points south/southwest. This is the first watch of 2017 issued by the Storm Prediction Center.
And no I don't know what causes the radio to blip like that when the tones are sounded, given the reception's clear. But it still gets the job done.

I keep mine near my bed like an alarm clock, only because when I'm asleep nothing really wakes me at night. Plus I wear glasses so I'm as blind as a bat if it's close by i can read that the message up close.

@NotHood it still works I just rarely use it because the battery clip is gone and it has bad signal unless I put it in my window which makes the cord spread across my room lol so I only use it when there’s bad weather coming
