Love the reveal in that final scene! Each of the glyphs the societies consider most important were actually different viewpoints of the same multidimensional shape-- it's both incredibly thematic and visually stunning :) If anyone's curious, the in-game translations for each of the end scene glyphs are: -- Devotee: god -- Warrior: duty -- Bard: beauty -- Alchemist: transformation -- Anchorite: exile
@@HokoraYinphine Thanks! That’s kind of you to say! I’m tempted to ask which art lol; I didn’t expect folks here to see any of my artwork other than my profile pic. You’re probably referring to that?
I got so fucking scared when i got the false ending. It looked like some kind of punishment and it reminded me of those anti piracy screens we see online.
I tried to load backwards so I could get the "good ending" lmao, but then it kept taking me to the beginning, so I was like "alright fine I'll go through the starting part again" and then when I saw the glitched out writing for the door where "open" and "close" would normally be, I was like WTF theres something fishy going on here....
@@SangheiliSpecOp 🤦♂ I thought I had initiated the true ending the wrong way and triggered the bad ending, and it had saved over my game when it restarted and I lost my chance. I didn't even try to walk forward, I just rage quit lol
@@Mr.Villager1 not kill it in an immediate sense, I think. "cause it to be inevitable that it will die", more like, which is an acceptable more metaphorical sense.
That's weird, when I went to the area with the warriors who capture you more than once it didn't automatically send me back. It actually looked possible to get through because the warriors would all bunch together and move slowly, the only reason I couldn't get through was because they'd form a really long line getting through the gate.
Hmm, now I'm curious if anything's different if you open the door to the top of the tower before connecting all the nodes, but then go finish connecting the nodes before actually climbing. Are the zap-bots already out and waiting for you, or is the door just closed again? I doubt it would let you bypass Exile's interference entirely though
If you try to go backwards after opening the door, the game won’t let you go back. There are bots waiting that will make the character turn back. You have no choice but to ascend.
What the OP proposes (instead of "solve all links then open gate", do "open gate, solve all links, then return to gate") is exactly what I did. The only difference is that instead of the zap cutscene happening immediately after the gate opening, the zap cutscene happens immediately after you reenter the room the gate is in. From that point on everything else is the same, i.e. you're now in Exile's simulation of the tower, which includes an army of zap bots appearing two rooms back from the gate room, blocking your path back down (if you had tried to leave) and forcing you to go to the top and proceed with the fakeout ending.

Thanks for posting. I didn't want to replay the whole game to see what would happen if I went up the tower without true ending.
Exactly me too haha
huh? this video doesn't have the bad ending right? the first is the fakeout ending i thought?
@@nurailidepaepe2783 I think its
2:00 bad ending,
6:15 fakeout ending
23:00 good ending
The ending of this game gave me chills. The way the symbol represented words in all the languages was just 👌
I didn't know there were alternate endings, I was just linking the tower because it was satisfying and felt like what I should do lol
Wow... The bad ending music is so good but the moment is so sad 😢
Nice job! Thanks for show us that!
I just want to understand... Why climb the tower too early would "kill" it...?

I love how game wikis call the first one "Default" ending and the second one "Perfect" when in reality the first one is bad and the second is good lol

The door problem
So I did that, and the door is open, but we can't get through as the bots come immediatly
