EDIT: I have just been made aware that this song isn't from the game Cyberpunk 2077 😭 I'M SO SORRY I don't even know why my mind straight to the game! I definitely knew Cyberpunk is a genre and I had a blast watching Blade Runner - feeling super embarrassed right now 😭 Hello there! Cyberpunk is the video game I think, sound garden are a grunge band from the late 80s-90s. Chris Cornell (singer) sadly passed away. Check out the original but the music video is creepy. Also soundgarden were a MASSIVE band both in sound and popularity, I highly suggest you explore their catalogue. It is prolific!
This one is arranged by Eli (with Layne). He has agreed to begin arranging about 1/3 of the songs to give Layne and Geoff more time between songs. I am SO excited about this. Between what Eli did on this one and on "Creep" I can barely wait for the next one he does!
Excellent cover. Anyone watching this who hasn't listened to the original by Soundgarden owes it to themselves to give it a listen. Peak Chris Cornell for sure.
You weren't the only one who made the Cyberpunk conclusion, no problem. Voiceplay rarely uses instruments or objects to make sounds. When they do, they are always on screen. I really liked the outro, they used their karaoke version created for Patreon. Hearing it with only the harmonies and beatboxing, no melody, gives us such a great idea of the intricacies of the arrangement.
You can sure that if ever VoicePlay use an instrument, it is shown - as in the violins in Warriors, Nothing Else Matters, and The Lion Sleeps tonight. Apart from those it's all vocal, with sometimes body percussion added, but again, you see it. They don't hide anything.
More than one reactor attributes the “guitar” sounds to Geoff and I definitely hear him in the mix, but I think I also hear Cesar, and maybe Eli and Anthony, esp. the last time through, when I hear some high falsetto sounds. Maybe the rest of the chords were synthesized, so maybe someone will correct me but I think this was done by multiple singers with an effect added in post. This is one of those songs that has so many “oh wow” moments that when you’re reacting to one you miss others. You have to listen to it a lot of times to catch everything. Great reaction!!
I don't think this is from the VideoGame. I could be wrong, but 'CyberPunk' as a fictional genre has been around for MANY years. I think they were playing more off that - especially with the background Eli created. Looks more like 'BladeRunner' with all the neon. Nice touch if so when one considers the 'rainy rooftop' location and how it would connect with the film.
Omg thank you for the correction! I have no idea why my mind went straight to the game when I knew Cyberpunk is a genre (not to mention I've seen Blade Runner and thoroughly enjoyed it 😭) Wow this is embarrassing :')
@@velocityofcl It was quite a while ago. I saw 'BladeRunner' when it first came out in theaters. I think it was considerably more memorable to us at the time. There were still really big screens easily found and it was such a new visual look. All that neon in the marketplace scene seemed almost life-sized. Probably more etched in my mind because of that.

That is Geoff's voice he is now an electric dragon lol
A CyberDragon?

Eli also arranged their spectacular cover of Eleanor Rigby.
Yes, the guitar is Geoff’s bass with distortion on top.

Another great cover by Voiceplay. Eli, with Layne's help worked wonders on this arrangement.

Black Hole Sun came out in 1994 by Sound Garden(Chris Cornell lead singer). It was a 90s grunge song. VP did amazing with the cover
Thanks for the reaction! I love watching people experience VoicePlay. 😃 You can pick anything of theirs and likely be mindblown.
good stuff, they did chris justice with this one
Great reaction, thanks!
Love seeing you react to these guys!!
They've got a new one called Classical Chaos. It's hilarious.
You should check out Geoff's Unshaken (Red Dead Redemption 2) cover from a month ago.
Everyone listening to this gets auditory whiplash; it's other worldly. There are so many intricate layers woven into this cover.
Bro- “what a vibe” says it all for sure! Great reaction.
Dive into to the VoicePlay rabbit hole more!! More VoicePlay!! And definitely check out the original song

@@velocityofcl It is apparently in the game on the radio playlist but isn't part of the soundtrack
@@DnDAddictUK Ah! Thank you for the info! Wow I'm learning a lot about this track today haha! Appreciate this :)

I thought the electric guitar was Cesar's talent. Am I wrong in this?
Yep you are, it's an effect.
Next should be Metallica nothing else matters
