I was almost ready to trade in my 2018 Type-R Red for a 2020 Tesla Model 3.. plus the stock tires are $360 each and I blown through 3 of them already.
I have General tire 255/35 have had no problem, Runs great. Never had a rubbing issue just know your odometer will be off by 2 mph above 60 but it’s not a big issue

And the good thing is you add 4.8 to your speed at 2nd gear which means now you can go 5 second flat 0-100 at 102 instead of going to 3rd at 98 kph and loosin 0.5 sec. Also your top speed at gauge will be 310 isntead of 298. How cool is that? 😀😀😀
And also your 0-100km time will jump to 5.00 sec from 5.7 sec since now your car does 103 at 2 gear you dont need to shift to 3rd at 98km. Did you know that? 😀
I have the same size using Kumo's. I love the extra grip on launching and it makea the Speedo spot on. After fitting them I am now starting to think whether it's too much pressure on the drivetrain as the extra height the differential has to lift with every take off. Just hope the fk8 can handle the extra unsprung weight. Time will tell as I'm sure my dealer will use this to get out of fixing any damage. Maybe I'm being silly..

The OEM size tires call for 35 in front and 33 in back. Should I put the same amount in my tires as the OEM ones? More or less? Any help would be appreciated! I have 2018 type R.
Hi i currently running same tires size and the tire pressure lights keeps popping up and i have to calibrate it every time drive the car. How to fix it?
Make sure its to factory psi, and the calibrate and drive for 30 mins. After that it shouldn't come back on. If it does then I would take it to honda and see why it's coming back on again
that's good that handling is not affected. I guess if u make wheels bigger it changes gearing so you get higher top speed in second and less wheelspin. that's what affects the 0 to 60 having to change into 3rd gear at 57 mph
Never go by what they say. They just want you to spin more money, apparently. That's how it is with PC's. They say you need like a 12-core or a 8-core just to run your games in 60 Frames Per-Second. Or say oh no you need to be sure that you GPU Graphic Card has to be made by Nvidia. But obviously they're lying about that to -_- My Intel i3 Desktop was a 4-Core processor and my games was running pretty smooth like butter. But do have to admit. It was an i3 4th gen some of my games where laggy AF LOL It probably because my PC wasn't a 8th Gen Desktop. But, the next PC i'm getting is going to be either intel i5 8th gen like I said before, Or... it'll be an AMD Ryzen 5 2nd gen or at least a Ryzen 3 2nd gen. :D But I still you're Type-R still looking sexy as usual lol :D
Never heard that, Intel I7 has always gotten higher frame rate. It's just that AMD's Ryzen 5 is way more bang for the buck. Same for their GPU. 5700XT is $100 less than the 2070 Super for maybe at most a 10 frame difference, that's a real good deal.

What kind of offset did you go with the wheels? +38 or +45. The original wheels are +60.

I put the exact as stock. And when you calibrate the tpms it takes 30 minutes to do so

255 is the widest you can go on stock 20’s you wanna run 265+ you need a 9.5 barrel

I heard that too. Never tried it to see about 60. Handling, I haven’t noticed a difference on curvy roads.

The big thing I’ve noticed, is that I don’t break traction off the line anymore.
wheelspin is the type r achillies heel specially if you start tuning.
I think your speed maybe off by like 4% so 60mph would really be 58 or something like that
