You could check out the Arcane Duffel pack which has the straps on the back but only 30L. If your contents are not heavy or need to be carried for long periods of time, a single strap duffel is pretty comfy esp when worn like a 2 point sling with the head and arm inside. I've been using the Trillium 45 as a gym / light travel bag for years and pretty happy with it. Seems to be discontinued now and replaced by the Daylite duffel. If you want more organization, maybe the Evergoods Transit Duffel 35L?
This kinda seems like the worst of a backpack and the worst of a duffle. I'm just a 35-40L simple backpack guy for flights. The mil-spec monkey CYOA has been amazing for SHOT shows.
I like the internal synch straps in my patagonia duffel.
When you have a bunch of clothes it really helps make the bag smaller.

Appreciate the review. Was between this and the Osprey Daylite 45 - helped me opt for the latter.
How are you liking the daylite 45? I have been opting between the two as well. I Wish it came with a duffel strap
I like it! It’s structured enough to where my things don’t get smashed. I second wishing it had a strap though.

I’ll check it out, thanks dude!
I just got one of these. Wish it had an external pocket or two. I also get confused which way is up.
It’s crazy how disorienting it is.
