@@violinloungewait QUESTION so you DO NOT ADTUALLY play three notes at the same time for triple stops correct? You play the two lower and and the third is that right?
@@leif1075 when there are three notes at the same time to play you can either play a triple stop or a broken chord. Triple stop is played with a low contact point and pushing down the middle string a bit.
wooooooooooow! It is simply extraordinary Zlata, what you have done. On behalf of all violinists, I would like to say THANK YOU. I imagine all the effort it must have cost you to make this video: the necessary research, the preparation and production of the video and finally its publication. It's a small encyclopedia on bowing techniques that you offer with this work. A thousand times thank you
Thanks so much! Coming from the sample library world where all you get is what was sampled, this kind of comprehensive overview opens a world of possibilities.
This is fantastic! A complete guide to all the bow techniques I can think of (plus some I never thought about) with practical examples is not just fascinating for every violinist but an absolute must-have for violin teachers. I have downloaded it and will gratefully use it in my teaching. Thank you for making this!
Long, elaborate and enjoyable is what this video is about. It's well thought out, logical and to the point. Some compelling Paganini sets the tone and there are other beautiful moments too. The double stops sound good and The Andante that follows is sublime. You have talked of every bowing technique one can imagine and more! Probably soon I will come back to it for refreshment, because it's that good.

@@violinlounge I make bows for the viola da gamba using Australian hardwoods. I had a player make a comment about balzati when they tried a couple of my bows. It's a technique not normally used on the Viol. Was hoping you could explain it. Thanks, Andrew.
Absolute masterpiece, it is really hard to distinguish each technique separately but, really inspiring that people made so many variations just from 2 degrees i.e pressure and time. I wonder how I was playing 60% of those even not knowing those are different. It really clarified my query about playing chords. Thank you very much ❤+1 Just one question, Is it possible to play inversions of chords? is there any special name for that?
