Love the final result! Adding the varied patterns on the letters was definitely the way to go. Good reminder that if you don't like the design in the beginning, keep tweaking it!
I think this card is super cute! I actually liked all the versions but the last addition of detail really gives it oomph! Wonderful card! Thanks for showing all the versions as you work on your card. I think it helps the rest of us to learn.
Is it okay just to LOve that you've struggled, like we mere mortals often do? I've actually enjoyed watching you change your mind, and persevere, Therese! In the end, I LOVE how you've left it ... perfect, in every way!!! By the way... this is EXACTLY how I look on my birthday!!! Thanks!=]
I loved the way your card turned out. The "bubble" effect I could see! Thanks for teaching me something new about the white gel pens! Who knew?! Card turned out great!
You're a crack up! The patterned letters do look the best I agree but I also liked them at the shading stage too before you added the gel pen highlights - which you then scratched off ha ha. It's all part of the crafting journey that we love huh. The elephant image is fabulous btw :)
I'm always on the look out for elephant stamps, because my Mom loves elephants. Love how you cheered him up w/this card... it would be a prefect card for that someone who doesn't like to celebrate their bday. LOL... when i saw you scarping off the white gel pen, I said "NO!" thinking it looked really nice, but in the end you may it look even better.
So super cute! Your elephant needs to smile! I love how you planned this creative layout. What a fun card!!! You're too hard on yourself. It's a great card!!!
Genius! Love what you did with the lettering. Thanks for taking us on your journey. It just goes to show that there's no mistakes when it comes to crafting...there's only opportunities!
Totally loved what you did with this card at each stage I loved what you did, you create beautifully oh and I love the elephant a real character indeed! Gotta get me one of those! :)
I love this card but also like how you show what we all go thru when making a card it never comes out like you had in your brain lol this card ended up super cute as all your cards do
Your card is fantastic, I love how it turned out. I liked it a lot with just the white highlights but I do like it better with the designs on each letter, it looks awesome and I love your elephant!
Quit beating yourself up. Your card is adorable. And the letters look really good. You did a good job on them even tho you seem to have lost your enthusiasm. Thanks for sharing. I love to watch you color.🦌🦴🐕🦴🦴🦴🎂
This card is hilarious, Therese. I get the giggles every time I look at it. LOVE the accents on the letters. Was in a hurry so skipped to the end, but will come back and watch all the way through because those letters look very rounded, and I need to know how you did it. LOVE LOVE LOVE this crazy and very pretty card. Bev. Hugs.
I don't like to give up on a card, and even when creative opportunities arise (ie it doesn't go to plan) mostly I find that I can save something or change the idea to suit. Thanks so much for your lovely visit.
Hi I like this card very much, it's not my style at all really but you have just captured something startlingly good I think. Well done and thank you for sharing it and being so candid. I of ten find I don't like something about a card but never give up until I change it for the better.
I think your card turned out great. I'm the last person to give advise, because I always over think my cards and it takes me hours to get a card done. I did want to say I've had the same problem with my white gel pen too. My first pen didn't flow good at all and must have been dried up. My second pen has been great.
I do so love your wee elephant and I'm sorry you aren't thrilled. I'm happy with your result; however, I do not know what you had in mind. Thank you for keeping all your adjustments in the video. It helps me to know that I don't have to toss as a reaction, I can rather shift gears 💕and try again on instead. 💖🇨🇦
I thought it turned out beautifully. I'm glad you showed that you guys feel that way about your cards, too. my husband gets annoyed at me bc I pick apart some cards and he thinks they're great and I'm being too hard on myself (he's probably right).
My husband's answer is, 'if you can't decide why don't you make one of each"... I tell him not to be so logical and do it my way and pull apart anyway lol. Have a great day, thanks so much for visiting! Hugs Therese
That's great that you found a US supplier for the Les Jungles, I was wondering if you could let me know where you found it, I've had heaps of requests from the US (that is, after you have ordered yours lol). As for the die, it's sad news there, I think it may have been retired from MFT, it may pay to write them a note as I've had a few requests for it too. Thanks again, Therese
I love really, really love this card and immediately looked for the Happy die-namics, but couldn't find them. So sad they are retired :( Would love to case this card. TFS Therese
I've not tried colouring the enamel dots.... but I have coloured rhinestones with Copics, so it may be worth a try, But I do know that Copics aren't fond of embossed areas apparently it can affect the nib of the pen and I am not sure how similar the product is. Maybe alcohol ink refills may work? What a great question, if I find an answer I will let you know. Have a great day, Crafty Hugs Therese
@@lostinpaper Thanks so much for the reply! Sorry no I meant if you make your own dots with white Nuvo drops you can colour them when they're dry. Thanks again for the lovely card - all your cards are awesome!
@@naomisherred166 Thanks so much, I still wouldn't use my alcohol markers directly on the dots without looking into it first... but you could drop some colour from a refill bottle and see how it goes? It could be fun!
Honestly, Therese, I think you just picked up the elephant's attitude! lol I liked each of the iterations your card went through. The end card turned out great, but I liked the puffy letters, too. :-)
I use the Nuvo Drops - I find they seem to work the best and my fave are the translucent ones called jewel drops. There are so many different kinds including glittery ones, here is a link www.ellenhutson.com/tonic-nuvo-jewel-drops-strawberry-coulis/ Hope you have a great and crafty day, Therese
I don't know that it's available in the US but you can buy it direct from Katzelkraft in the EU and they were very fast and affordable to Australia, and the cats and dogs are real cute too! Thanks so much for visiting and taking the time to comment, Hugs Therese x
I think your letters looked great when you had the highlights but I like the patterns even better! This is a fabulous card and you are way too hard on yourself!
You are too hard on yourself. I liked the letters from start to end. They did look great at the end. You could have then added matte accents (glossy accents sibling)to get your puffy letters. I love how it turned out though and that elephant cracks me up.
I love the card, I liked the 'puffy' letters but I think adding the differences looked great too!
Love the final result! Adding the varied patterns on the letters was definitely the way to go. Good reminder that if you don't like the design in the beginning, keep tweaking it!
I think this card is super cute! I actually liked all the versions but the last addition of detail really gives it oomph! Wonderful card!

Thanks so much Bev, this elephant totally makes me smile too!
I really enjoyed this one! I learned not to give quite so easy as I watched you process through this card and end up with such a winner!

lostinpaper my husband says "either way it will look great. no matter what I say, you're going to do it the way you want anyway." Lol
Therese I would also like the Hello Die. I didn't see that on your blog for a source. Thank you. I found a US supplier for the Les Jungles stamp set
That's great that you found a US supplier for the Les Jungles, I was wondering if you could let me know where you found it, I've had heaps of requests from the US (that is, after you have ordered yours lol). Hi
Believe me both worked very well .. You have a classy nice taste .. Continue with your sucsess
I love really, really love this card and immediately looked for the Happy die-namics, but couldn't find them.
So sad they are retired :(
Would love to case this card. TFS Therese
Personally I liked it best at the puffy letter stage but without the
white highlight. It looked great at all stages though :-) Glenda
Frantic Stamper Inc. I found the Les Jungles. Simon Says Stamp carries a similar HAPPY die. I went on their site and searched for dies and HAPPY.
Thanks so much Sharan I'll forward it on x
Love the lines,circles
thanks so much Debra!
I love this card ❤️
Thanks so much Ana
Love your cards! As for the DIY orange enamel dots if you make some white ones when they've set you can colour them with an orange alcohol marker 😊

I Love love this fun elephant! Thanks so much for stopping by and for all your lovely comments, Crafty Hugs Therese
Well I think it's perfect just like it is :)
it’s adorable. glossy accents on the letters would’ve made them puffy too.
I agree, that would have been a fab idea!
I love it 😍
So cute! How do you make enamel dots? I have tried it and failed miserably

Sharan Grubbs I want that stamp set too! I'm in Florida.

You can get these stamps from Topflight
Oops, l thought that was a dog., until l read the comment under mine. It’s still an adorable card !
I think your letters looked great when you had the highlights but I like the patterns even better! This is a fabulous card and you are way too hard on yourself!
