man i miss working there,, still have some of my old state transport authority uniform. i was the guy that decided witch red hens ,2000 and 3000 went to the depot for cleaning after the morning rush..garbage graffitti was getting bad in the early 90's.. just last week the pizza guy wanted to buy my old ratty STA bomber jacket..lol
Good video. Almost no passengers rode on railcars into the yard. Now the hospital is there and the overhead wires have gone up for the south end tracks. But all services are still 2000 or 3000, but the A city 4000's won't be too far away on the Seaford line.
A correction - RD is still shown when trains are moved to 104 Road (Usually Pilot cars) which is the road i take this train down in the video. Mind you, where i stop prior to entering the depot is where the track now ends.
yes im trying to build it based on late 90s to late 2000 look of adelaide with the rail deport still there, only areas i couldnt see was going under the bridge and in to the station it self, the rail deport and yard i have very good photos of, i could build based on the 50s but it was the late 90s to 2000 i wanted most, if you have other videos showing more i look forward to seeing them :)

@trainadelaide2000 Yeah, although it's not displayed any more. ND is for trains going to the North Car Yard (or North Depot). Trains going to Dry Creek just get NM (North Main)
That is the AWS -Advance Warning System. If the driver gets that alarm he has to acknowledge it with the button. It usually is to alert the driver of a Caution or Stop signal aspect.
Ah the North Car Yard, home to Track Recording Cars and lonely electricians. Pity all the Rail Depot is now gone, what a waste. Sounds like the track Recording Car and maintenance machines are being evicted from the North Yard, more parking for passenger cars maybe?
Love all.these old video clips shows how much the area has changed over the years I hope to see more like these .
love these cabviews, very good angles for me to see turnout points and track layouts for my model railroad :)

And 9 years on the Gawler Central line is electrified. 2000's long gone (some preserved), 3000's still going strongly.

@trainadelaide2000 Not specifically for Dry Creek, just an announcement that says "All change, this train is terminating"

1:14 what does that alarm mean I’ve seen some drivers push the red button to stop it

Have or are you going to make a cab vid on a 2k? I would love to see one, I can't find any good pictures or videos anywhere.
@trainadelaide2000 That's why we do plenty of practice runs during training :-)
