Darren! Always a pleasure to have you down at Paro Covent Garden and so glad you enjoyed the Chicken Naga and Geeza Naan! See you at City Spice Brick Lane soon perhaps!!! 😄
You deserve 100,000 subscribers DJ! Honestly you do! You’re totally one of ‘us’ and we blimmin love you for it! Such a good vid this one … beautiful restaurant … gorgeous food (if a tad ‘warm’) … and to see you enjoy your food as much as I do is such a joy … food IS a joy and I just wish I could subscribe twice! Til the next one 🥘🌶️🥥🍺🍽️🕌
That looks wonderful. I used to really enjoy a hot curry (providing it's done well, and not just hot for the sake of it with no flavour) but I have a brain tumour and had intense radiotherapy. Ever since then I've not been able to tolerate spicy food at all which is a real shame. A korma is my limit
Hi Darren, Just back from London and we visited City Spice. Amazing food!!!. First time I have ever tried the ' Orange coconut '.. 😊😊. Thanks for the recommendation.
Niaz has done an AMAZING job with Paro. I can't wait to get over there and try it for myself. Bring on the spice 🌶😂 Loved the behind the scenes in the kitchen too. Thanks for sharing! 😁💙
Naga cuisine is the traditional foods of the Naga people in the northeastern region of India and northwestern region of Myanmar. Each ethnic group of the Nagas prepares its own unique style of cuisines. It most notably features rice, meats and leaf vegetables.
Another enjoyable video Darren, I really like this part of London! Last went into this place when it was still Bill's-will have to come back here and try this place! I'm not into hot/really hot food. I can do mild spice at best.
That does look a great restaurant, I was surprised as it’s in such a touristy location, but will have to give it a go. Thanks as ever for a great food video
Just want to say, the video quality is probably the best I have seen on TH-cam regarding food vids, your camera shows how beautiful this restaurant and food is, keep it up mate.
Wow. The food look out of this world, the colours, the presentation and quality all on show for the discerning diner. Thank you for showing us behind the scenes where the magic begins.
I don't get to London very often in a year but definitely need to visit here!!! That naan looked amazing but dunno if i can handle the chillies!!! Love a mushroom rice, i like the texture mix.
Another great review Darren. If ever ypu do a curry tour of GB (bike tour) plz look up South Shields, our first curry shop was way back in 1950's ( so i'm told). Anyhow congrats on another great vid.
Beautiful place and food looked gorgeous. Don’t know how you can do it so hot lol! I’d be under the table. I like spice but think that’s another level Darren. Glad you enjoyed and as always bring a smile to my face! 🥰☀️🥰xxx
Might need to give this place a go! Food looked delicious wow them facial emotions when u eat Darren shows not only do you enjoy the curry but shows how delicious it must be in your expressions!!! Keep it up just subscribed new Chanel I take it !!!
Well that certainly put some colour in the cheeks 😂 hats off to ya way beyond my threshold 😅 looked spot on and to let you see it being prepared a nice touch.
Im reall yenjoying this channel devoted to the food reviews. Paro has been on my list a while and I am soooo keeen to try it. Dont think i would go for the Naga - perhaps something less fiery!!
Yes!!! That Fruity flavour from those Chinense strain Peppers is something else. One of my favourites is the Trinidad Seasoning Pepper….Next to no heat but all that flavour….On Ice Cream it is incredible.
@@LittleBearBBQ_Food_Original Scotch bonnets also give a similar fruitiness obvs different flavour but I find it amazing how something so spicy adds so much more.
Been buying that same naga pickle for a few years now, what was in the rice also what was in naan The whole event looked wonderful and thanks for getting those kitchen shots, you didn't say how much it cost, enjoyed thank you
Looks amazing that Darren could just eat one of those now as love my hot food like your good self. Great video as always, take care and keep up the great content pal.
A nice looking Curry Darren, what I felt the video could have done better for me (only me probably) was I wish you had explained what was in the geezer nann apart from spices, I mean did it have meat in there or potato? Still a very good video and all your Curry reviews are my favorites that you do.
Loved our visit to Paro on your previous recommendation and it now seems we need to go back for a geezer Nan. That curry looked delicious but maybe a bit to hot for us although there’s plenty on the menu to choose from - brilliant place with a lovely team working there 👍
Darren you looked like you enjoyed that one ! My missus always say’s if you smile after the first mouthful you are going to like it , and you smiled ! Keep going mate enjoying what you do 👍
@@DJsFoodTravels probably not for you Darren, didn't think they're were for me, tikka Massala is defo crap, but the jalfrezi is spot on for a microwave
Was in town a couple of weeks ago and saw this place. Looked very inviting. Great looking menu and prices (pre theatre £22 for 2 course and £25 for 3). Hope to visit next time I’m down. Great channel.
I remember in the seventies and eighties most restaurants had white table cloths, but now they don't seem to bother with them, witch is a shame, when you walked into the restaurant it looked so clean and welcoming
Phaal curry However, when they do, the dish in question must be Phaal curry. Phaal is the hottest curry in the world because it is made from Bhut Jolokia, the world's hottest chilli. Andhra Chilli Chicken is a spicy dish made with green chilies, so you can imagine how hot it will be!14 Sept 2022.
I've had a few Naga curries 🍛 they seemed a little hotter than vindaloo but as you said tastier. U should try a tiny coating of salt on the poppadoms, another level. Great vid
I visit London on average once a week from Chester but can’t park my van anywhere decent so I can get any food! I like a nice hot curry as long as you can taste the spices/flavours not just burn
Only mentioning this as you made a few videos about it (so please don’t think I’m unnecessarily calling you out) - are you still on the weight loss/diet journey in pursuit of that new suit? Don’t give up mate. The destination is better than the curry! Great video though
Restaurant looks lovely. I like a mutton Vindaloo if it's cooked properly but chicken Naga would require a toilet roll placed in the fridge before consumption. Great review.
I like a Naga if I chose Vindaloo they can be more spicy than Naga Think it depends on the chef sometimes As you say the flavours of the chillies are fabulous I’ve commented before about my love of Indian foods My mum used to make her own Then in mid 70’s we’d get curry cafes for the local Asian taxi drivers Then the takeaway and restaurants did a boom So I’ve served my time I could and have done eat it at any time day or night Also got Asian friends who make the proper stuff 🤩🤩 I like all your videos DJ 👍👍
Again what a beautiful looking interior. Whilst I'm not a curry eater, but i do appreciate the whole package of an Indian restaurant, and watching the chef at work😊such a privilege. An artist, mixing by sight and experience, Bloody amazing 😊As you know Darren, first rule we eat with our eyes.Your meal looked stunning. One very happy customer. Thanks for letting us join you❤Allan&Family

Darren, what was that white creamy dish you had alongside the rice and the curry? Looked like it had nuts on the top of it.....
Raita (like a yogurt) with pomegranate
Would have been interesting to see what you thought of the Raita with pomegranate etc.
Raita cools down the naga if you want to

The main in this is Mr Naga Pickle … it’s easy to make this BIR curry at home. It’s silly hot if you use to much but a touch is lovely n Smokey spice
