If you like this one, Susa the Old Man Emu one, similar coin, but had an insulated pouch as well as the table

Thanks for the review. Glad you found a good chair. Arthritis in my wrists means I'll stick with the frontrunner but a good option if you are strong enough. 🙂

For those of us on the North American side, I don’t think explore life ship over here but iclimb has a similar chair.

While the chair is on its legs, just use your foot to push down on the clamp.

Very good review, I have a set of the last one plus the dune, I have gone back to the dune, to close the chair, stand on the bar to fold, makes it very easy, regards Tony

Sorry to be black sheep here but this style of chair have been around for many years - I bought blackwolf version back about 5 years back and I have since seen at least copy from aldi and Drifta- the blackwolf one still being sold at tent world for $99

None of the thousand chairs I looked at have any lumbar support or adjustment which makes them usable but your body hurts if you fall asleep or sit too long or over 20 mins. The only chair I can recommend now is one of those big folding recliners like Timber ridge. Sill lack proper lumber curve.

the only chairs more compact are hiking chairs, like the helinox one, but the setup is a lot more involved than anything here. for me if i had to buy another chair, id look at the oztent gecko. a directors chair style, but the side table is on a swivel pole, so it can be stored on the side of the chair, as is common on those style chairs, or spun around to be over the seated part. great for eating when you need 2 hands, and especially for kids

I would fault the last chair for loose fabric which won't offer great support and also it doesn't recline which is a biggy, still better than most of the camping chairs on the market especially the ones with fabric arm rests.

Out of your selection, I'd be taking the Dune with me, It's rigid, reclines and offers more support.

Killer 4WD by the way. Very envious.

You should check out Oztrail's new cape series chairs. The high back looks like the ultimate chair and it even matches the color palate of your land cruiser.

All those chairs are nice, but they all don't have the Reclining Feature, Recline is a premium now a days specially for overloading where your back is hammered all day by the rolls and bumps you get inside the Rig or the truck

Aw but the Frontrunner Expander Chair folds up very compact & allows you to sit upright nicely for eating. The other chairs close up too big. I can fit two folded up frontrunner Expander chairs in a 5 inch wide space between my fridge & truck bed wall. The only chairs more compact than the frontrunner is the helinox style with are uncomfortable, slouching sit position & take longer to set up.

Totally agree, they are really compact. Unfortunately for us, we found the quality wasn’t amazing. Just our opinion. The Explore Life chairs have been great and seem more sturdier
