Thank you !!! This story as well as other BBC works are just amazing and well done. Again, thank you for your page and excellent work to bring us this incredible content. Cheers!
Thank you for giving this great program. I am an enthusiast of the old British detective radio shows. More interesting than movies as the mind likes to work in quite a different way with radio..
If only all of those unfortunate Post Office subpostmasters had a judge who heard their respective trials with such clarity to highlight a failure in the law without considering, above all else, their own, elevated positions and social standing. A very good play.
Plays like this are a joy to listen to. How I wish more where made like it today. One question remained was not answered morality of whom the public in general or the ruling class.
Here's a synopsis for you....."Trial by Judge....1964 By Michael Hardwick (SNT 28 March 1964). Set before 1907, a prominent judge is about to try his last case in a long career. The judge deliberately misleads the jury in order to bring attention to the fact that in the absence of a court of criminal appeal there is no means to correct miscarriages of justice. The Criminal Court of Appeal was established later. " Cheers from Canada North
Not a Sherlock drama. The great Felix Alymer stars as a judge having trouble keeping up with society. Ok it's old fashioned but the central issue of the who judges the judges still exists
Thank you for listening. Information about some of these shows is hard to find. If you'd like to put together a cast list, synopsis or review as you listen we'd be glad to share them with the Chesterton Radio family. I'm sure a collection of this kind of information would be helpful to many listeners
I generally don't subscribe if there isn't a synopsis. It seems to show lack of effort. I found at least two different descriptions of the play by Googling "Trial by Judge" by Michael Hardwick!
Can't think of anything I enjoy as much as these radio programs!!!!! Thankful for such terrific entertainment!!!!

An excellent play and the cherry on top was having picture of Ida Lupino for 90’. Thanks for sharing. Regards from Mexico.
This was a tremendous display of this medium. Thought provoking, well written, acted and directed. Definitely in my top twenty.

I loved this drama
This judge is insane
Felix Aylmer superb in this play
This sounds like a good one, but my question is why have Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson on the image for this video?
