    SO GLAD that I found your easy fix for the closer. This fix saved me $47.00 plus shipping! I removed the pins and rotated 180 degrees to free it up. Also sprayed some dry lube spray inside. Works like a charm! Thank you for your comprehensive video.

    Thank you! Out of all the videos that I watched on the matter, your video made the most sense and worked. While the spring is a cheaper part anyway, I’m glad I fixed it and didn’t have to spend any money.
    Only one adjustment I had to make due to my circumstances. The retracting pole was actually slightly bent too so I straightened it along with everything you said and it worked.

    Thanks a lot for the tip. At the first, it didn’t work, and I thought mine has a different problem. However, here is what I followed you.\
    1. remove the small screw (for air control)
    2. don’t push the button, and follow the video. push up and down(left to right)
    3. and it will close to the normal, and then put the air screw back, and try push out and it.

    Thank you! I had some guys moving furniture out of the basement and instead of allowing me to hold the door they decided they knew how to work my door and messed it up. I had to order another bracket and this worked perfect with releasing the jam for my Larson door.

    AMAZING! Spent months trying to figure out how to fix mine! Finally! This worked. I had to keep spinning the shaft 180 then 360 then 180 etc clockwise and counterclockwise until it unjammed. Thanks!!

    Great video ! I have a problem with the door closing too fast and hard against the door frame. I do have a door closers somewhat like the one you have where you can open the door and have it stay open to your preferred opening but again my problem is that the door closes too fast and hard. Can this be a problem with getting the right adjustment on the door closer ?

    • @SumukhComedy
      @SumukhComedy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure. These closers are created to close at a fairly slow pace so, if it's moving faster and harder as it closes, I'm not sure what the problem may be and unfortunately might be best suited to replace the closer but, still, worth contacting the manufacturer about.

    I have the same exact closer as the one that you demonstrated. It is brand new. My problem is that the door closes slowly and then when it gets to the very end it's slams shut. I have the tried the adjusting screw both ways clockwise and counterclockwise to no effect it does slow down the door but then when it gets to the very end its slammed it shut. Any idea what could be causing this?

    My closer is just like yours, my problem is the closer lever started touching the door when closed causing it to lock open every time we open the storm door. Do you know what the answer might be? We had the door installed about 8 years ago and the touch lever just started touching the door a few weeks ago.

      Hi Michele, thanks for watching. I'm sorry that none of those things have resolved the issue. As evidenced by other comments which I agree with, this is a very annoying product. Without seeing your closer, it's possible that it is fully jammed/broken which I know is disappointing news for you given this happened the first time you used it. I personally don't have another resolution for this kind of jam than what you've already tried. You may be best suited to just reaching out directly to Wright which I know doesn't help you with your immediate need. I'm sorry I couldn't be of further help. Stay safe and all the best in resolving this!

    thanks for posting this info. I had the exact issue and was able to get it to close again but still kept getting stuck so called the 800 number and they shipped a new one no questions asked. Hoping this one works correctly
