Interesting to know about that product, there’s also a similar product called the buff puff that is basically an unbuffer. Something like this is probably great to use in a rack where you have buffers on your send and return loops. And super informative of you to bring this up so that people are aware that most fuzz petals react poorly to being downstream from a buffer a paddle with a buffer like a tube screamer or something like a BossTuner which also has a buffer in it. As previously mentioned the simplest way to do this and best approach for a small pedalboard is simply to put the fuzz pedals upfront in the signal chain, then anything with the butter after that.

This will be a life saver for me. Since I use a wireless (Shure glxd16). It has a really good buffer, but of course buffers don't play nice with fuzz pedals. I've been looking for something like this for quit a while. Thanks Anthony.

Do it like Brian May with his Rangemaster Treble boost on his guitar strap before wireless, go fuzz on the guitar strap ^^

@@ABCDEF-ks5op I tried this, unfortunately the fuzz pedal kept shutting off. It was as if it was getting overloaded or something. By the way fuzz pedal I was using was the Fulltone 69 late 90's model. It did work tho, just not for very long. The pedal is still working which is a good thing lol. Kinda afraid to try it again tho.

@@gregglick4864 ok thats weird so you had the the fuzz on your strap before wireless?
Maybe the wireless couldnt handle fuzz apocalypse XD

@@ABCDEF-ks5op Didn't really have it on my strap, just tested it at home on the bench so to speak. Don't exactly understand how or why, but for sure the 69 kept shutting off. Was using a good battery as well. I may revisit this idea again to be for certain, just don't want to risk damaging the 69 its a great fuzz. Signal chain was guitar into fuzz then Shure GLXD1 Wireless Bodypack Transmitter was plugged into the output of fuzz. I don't think that was the correct way to do that tho lol, as the Transmitter is supposed to plugged into an input not an output. But was trying to achieve the guitar into fuzz before wireless idea. Might have to do some research on this before I continue. Or I might just buy this pick up simulator.

Does this fix the age old wah before fuzz dilemma? Thanks

Great demo - am amazed that I have not seen one earlier! I have one of these HVA pickup sims (the single passive one) and have found it to be an EXCELLENT tool to have on the board with fuzz pedals (I like to have a few on the board) as it gives you another level of control. Austin at HVA is a great chap to deal with and this was a must have option for me.

Couldn't you also put the fuzz before the buffer in a loop box and switch the fuzz in and out as you need it?

Informative video, but the easiest way is to just put your fuzz first. I prefer overdrives after fuzz anyhow. I like coily cables for a guitar cable. Rolls off a little top end and kind of thickens up the mids. SRV and Jimi (and many others) preferred them. Or you can use a long cable like Albert Collings or Buddy Guy. A buffer would just defeat that, so I avoid them, if I can.

That's the obvious solution for a simple setup, but if you use a switcher and midi pedals with pre/post routings, it becomes a problem... which i'm facing at the moment, that's how i ended up here LOL.

I always listen to put pedal buffer first. Is it a mistake?
