      So nice to see more females getting into this hobby. This hobby is for everyone. Old, young, middle age, rich, poor or middle class, searching through 1$ bills is so much fun. Especially when you find a low print run star note. Great addition to your collection and collecting becomes really addictive. I hope you subscribe.

    I just found one of these notes from the same run, this has been in circulation though so it’s not in as nice of shape. Still pretty exciting!

      Congrats. You found a rare note and it will have a small premium definitely, but for me it is the chase that is the most fun, even if the condition is subpar. Thanks for sharing this info with me about your find. Let me know if you make any other cool discoveries and thanks for watching.

    I got two from the same print run! The beginning of the serials are in the 066 range so at the tail end of the run. They are not as good as your UNC but happy to say I found both in random
    Various straps of circulated ones.

      @ExpatriateAmerikaner  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Silver Surfer Dear Silver Surfer, you earned those notes with your sweat and toil. I found mine just paging through new straps. Both are hunting, but your notes truly came from the wild.

    very cool and interesting rare run; especially UC bills, and the closeness of the (3) note sequence, almost like their might not be anymore other star notes in between those hundred bills... great find; and I do believe that by the next time annual bills are printed& you will have a good chunk of change, awaiting a premium on those bills!! Get them all graded and certified...

    • @ExpatriateAmerikaner
      @ExpatriateAmerikaner  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your comment and watching. I think there are star notes between there but they are in different stacks (maybe that weren't delivered to Europe, that is where I find them). By ''annual'' do you mean the next series with a new Secretary of the Treasury (new signatures). I want to get them graded, but I have to wait until PMG comes to Germany, Switzerland again or is in the Netherlands where some paper money shows are happening.

    Congrats to you!
    Wonderful find.
    I hit the jackpot, too.
    Lot:
    45 Rare year 2017
    dollar bills.
    ALL are series “ A”
    ALL have the beginnings of an additional “O” next to Washington’s photo. If Washington’s photo was removed, you would see the complete “O”
    On the obverse under “Washington DC” under the “O” there are thirty-six small “spaces” where
    the gap should be but there are also eight “wide “spaces” and one space with no space and touching.
    On the reverse ALL 45 have the same small number “4” in the right corner.
    As to condition, most are near mint / mint. There are a handful ( perhaps 5) that appear to have been folded/creased in the center but NONE with heavy folding or creasing.
    “4,500” packs!
    $80,000 OBO ( no offers under $40,000, please)
    -Al

      Congratulations. Yes, it is addicting, and soon you may check every bill like I do and pay in cash more. You can always ask for 100 $1 Dollar bills from the bank and do some strap searching as a hobby. No one will care at the bank and you can just ask for a strap of $1's.

    • @ExpatriateAmerikaner
      @ExpatriateAmerikaner  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks. I find more older series notes in great shape (Germans/Swiss take care of their money), and since the Dollar is not used in daily commerce they usually sit in a book or in an envelope and come to the bank nice and crisp (not always). We see many customers directly from the US with the standard circulated money (usually 20 Dollar bills and 100 bills). Sometimes they are in great shape, and even rarer is a fancy serial number in great shape.

      Super find. Definitely has a premium. Worth more than face. Very low serial number and a star. Congrats. Depends on condition, and to be honest you would have to look up what other notes are being offered for on ebay. Just remember a buy now price does not mean it will sell at that price (there is usually a best offer button where people can haggle and negotiate with the person). I don't even have a star under 00010000!

    • @ExpatriateAmerikaner
      @ExpatriateAmerikaner  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You usually need to see a part of the next note on your note to have any extra value. A miscut note or misalinged note is usually not a criteria to make it worth more money. Usually it will take away from the value if the note is a star note and in otherwise crisp uncirculated condition. So unless you see parts of other notes on your bill you basically have something that could detract from the value or reduce the value. I hope this makes sense.

    • @ExpatriateAmerikaner
      @ExpatriateAmerikaner  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am guessing these notes would be at least $25-40 bucks each on the market in this condition. From this star note run and Atlanta 2013. A normal note, without the star and not from a low print run, would be worth only $2 or $3 at the most.

    Are sequential two dollar bill star notes worth much ?

    • @ExpatriateAmerikaner
      @ExpatriateAmerikaner  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, even if they are from a full print run (3.2 million, you can look this up by typing ''My currency collection star note lookup'' into Google). If they are sequential many collectors will pay a small premium. I could see 5 $2s going for at least $20. More if you sold them to a German audience like on Ebay or something.

    I have this dollar F66626771H with a 6 in all four corners. Is it a valuable dollar?

    • @ExpatriateAmerikaner
      @ExpatriateAmerikaner  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 6's in the corners represent the 6th letter in the alphabet or the letter F for Atlanta Georgia. Your note starts with the numbers 666 and may command a small premium over face value. Maybe $4-5. But your bill is not a star note and does not have a fancy serial number, but I do know some people collect bills with the Devil's number. I would want it out of my house, I would be worried my house would catch on fire. JK.

    HOW MUCH IS A SILVER CERTIFICATE NOTE WORST WITH TWO STARS SERIE 1957 A

    • @ExpatriateAmerikaner
      @ExpatriateAmerikaner  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Where are the two stars? One at the beginning of the serial number on both sides? To answer your question to the best of my knowledge I would say that it depends on condition (perfect condition is worth more than circulated of course). It also depends on the serial number. Do you have a radar note, or birthday note? If it is just your average silver certificate star note then the value is around $3-$4. Literally millions were printed. It could be a rare one. Give me the serial number if you don't mind and I can check if it is in my currency book.

    Hi ,how much is the value of $5 bill with star red seal ?

    • @ExpatriateAmerikaner
      @ExpatriateAmerikaner  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      GIGI STONE LLC Depends on the series( year), condition, and serial number. Definitely some premium over face based on it being a United States Note (red seal), and the star also increases the value. Minimum 11-15$ maybe more.

    DUDE; how do you know how much a rare STAR note- run under (600,000) will go for... Example, I have a 2004A $10, GG 00129142* The run is rare, I know how to look it up (around 500,000), and the Bill is in almost uncirculated condition.

    • @ExpatriateAmerikaner
      @ExpatriateAmerikaner  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on condition. Hard question to answer. Try to look it up on Ebay (advanced search) or by typing in the info and the world auction. Sometimes you have to have an email address with the auction house to see what it sold for. I would assume in pristine condition ungraded it would go for 25-30$ and if graded a little more (just my gut feeling). If it is in okay shape 14-20, and with major flaws maybe 11-13. Throw it up on the bay and let us know what you get.

    • @ExpatriateAmerikaner
      @ExpatriateAmerikaner  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, unfortunately not. To be considered a radar bill it would have to be 30033003 and this bill would also be a repeater 3003 3003 (repeats and is the same front to back, if you had such a note it would be worth a nice premium). This note is considered a binary (true binaries are with only 1's and 0's. The reasonn it is a binary is because the serial number consists of just two digits.

      I finally found your other comment. Yes, it would be fun to get these notes graded (I am afraid of sending them in because they could get lost, damaged, or stolen). I would want to bring them to a currency show, but it costs like $40 at the show for the quick turn around. If I could send them in with the mail it is only like $12. I think you are right, some of those notes would command a huge premium, and I could rub it in the face of all of these idiots and naysayers on my channel that are always giving me a hard time. I appreciate the support. Stay strong brother.

      You should use the resource ''my currency collection star note look up''. There you can look up to see if your note is from a low print run. If the hundred is not a fancy serial number or from a low print run then I would spend it. The one dollar star note sounds interesting. Can you see a part of another bill on your $1 star note or is it just miscut. Some miscuts demand a small premium, but notes where two notes can be seen on one are highly collectible, especially on a star.

Where I was I was not always paid for the work I did (overtime), and at one point was making $8 an hour and they tried to hire me at $7.50 an hour. No breaks. And no heat in the winter at the train station I worked at. It was bad. I will never eat a donut there again. Sorry, but it is the truth. It doesn't matter where you found a star, a star is a star note. Is it from Atlanta and from this low print run? What is the serial number and year (series)?

      @jhonnyrock 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fancy Serial Numbers and coins that is a crazy story. It seems that you are in a better place now and that you’ve become stronger. That makes me feel good. As for the star note I found, it is from Atlanta and from 2013. The serial number is F06601295*. It’s no where as near as nice as yours. It’s a little worn around Washington’s face and there is a fold down the middle but i’ve kept it between two heavy books so it’s pretty flat and for a star note with a print run of 150,000 I’ll take it. Thank you for sharing that very personal story with me. Keep on going and happy hunting.

    Great find, but seriously? Why are YOU going through the money at the bank in the vault and taking it out? If you work at that bank, you should not be flipping through the bundled money and taking it out of the bundled money! And because of you flipping through the bundles of money, you said it was in the middle, by you flipping through it, then you touched the money which makes it UNCIRCULATED!! And YOU going back to the bank the next day because of your curiosity, or better yet, you should know all to well and you should know better that what you are doing is against the law and is so illegal, you should not be working in a bank!! You should be reported!! So how much curiosity do you have now??? Yeah, the bank needs to start watching you because of your curiosity!!

    A friend of mine got 40 of the F series 2013 star note
    $1.00 bills today from the bank all crisp and in sequence, would they be worth a lot?

    • @ExpatriateAmerikaner
      @ExpatriateAmerikaner  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      This question depends on what run they are from. You can find more information by typing ''my currency collection star note look up''. There you can search by series (year) and see if your note is more special or rare. 40 $1 mint crisp star notes are collectible. I am assuming at least they are worth $2 a piece even if it is from a full run. Maybe try selling them to trustworthy countries like England or Germany on Ebay where collectors don't see them that often. That would be my advice. Otherwise I would store them in an inert box or book and save them. The value can only go up.

      The only answer I have is on Ebay, or maybe on some type of platform like reddit. Unfortunately there is no decentralized exchange and too many bad actors to probably start one (this means that if you created such a platform people would probably try to steal other peoples money, by not paying). Good luck. Thanks for watching and subscribe if you want to see valuable currency.

    Hey I found and a star $2 bill notes like 8 in order the same serial numbers and I also found hundred dollar bills like eight of those maybe nine and different serial numbers what do you think they're worth

    • @ExpatriateAmerikaner
      @ExpatriateAmerikaner  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dear Deb. Thanks for watching. I hope you subscribe. It depends on condition, year, if it was a low print run star note (I use mycurrency collection star note look up to determine that), and what the serial number is. People love $2 bills so any star note on them will carry a premium. With the $100s they have to be extraordinary (like 07041776) or in perfect condition and a low print run star note, to justify keeping such money tied up in a novelty. Which to me doesn't make sense because it is always a hundred bucks, but inflation slowly kills the value. That is probably the determining factor why people prefer smaller denominations. Good luck.

    • @ExpatriateAmerikaner
      @ExpatriateAmerikaner  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you could find a person born on say the 16th of Jan. 1941 then this note would comman a premium. That person would be 77. The note is not from a full print run (3.2 million) and is probably only worth $1.25-$2 depending on the condition, unless you found someone who wants that specific date.

      WHAT IS THE ENTIRE SERIAL NUMBER..? A UP LADDER IS CONSECUTIVE NUMBERS LIKE...01234567....DOWN LADDER WOULD BE LIKE 76543210 ..... YOU COULD HAVE A DATE BILL... IF THE STARTING NUMBERS ARE SOMETHING LIKE 10171777. THAT IS 17TH OF OCT 1777 .. 17101777 ... IF IT IS 10101777 YOU HAVE A SERIAL NUMBER WITH TRIPLE 7'S BUT... BECAUSE IT ONLY USES THREE NUMBERS IT IS ALSO KNOWN AS A TRIANARY,...USING ONLY THREE DIGETS... .0.1.7. .
      A RADAR WOULD BE 77711777.......NEED TO KNOW ENTIRE SERIAL NUMBER ??

      Run: F - 3F 06 400 001 ↔ F 06 650 000
      Total printed for this run:
      150,000

      To the right collector who collects the number 26 you might get more than face.
