      Well they needed a great champion and someone who knows how to perform in October to give them inspiration. There's only so many speeches you can take from Derek Jeter or whoever from the 90s and early 2000s, so why not try a formal rival

Hardly any emotions by our players, when they’re losing they all just look like they wanna give up and it’s pathetic. Especially to behave like this in the post season. Lmao @ Michael Kay taking solace in the Astros "cheating" in 2017. Apparently that scheme dramatically helped the Astros with their hitting. The Astros offense barely scraped by in the 2017 ALCS and in the 4 games in Houston, the Yankee$ scored THREE TOTAL runs. You got shut out in game 7. Same with the whiny ass Dodger$. They scored 1 run at home in game 7 of the World Series. Why would anyone feel sorry for those chokers?
    As an Astros fan, even if I found out the Nationals cheated in 2019 I wouldn't feel bad for the Astros; not because of "karma", but because the Astros CHOKED. Lost all 4 games at home. Own your choke jobs and get better

    There is no joy in Mudville tonight..... There was a time, not so long ago, when the Blosucks could not beat the Yankees. Then it changed. Right now the Yankees cannot beat the Asstros. The only two wins we had this season were walkoffs at the Stadium. We played with 2/3 of a team in October. No DJ, compromised bullpen. But we were still competitive, losing game one 4-2, game two 3-2 and last night by one run again. Some new players promise to be exciting for the next few years: Bader, Oswaldo, Benintendi....

    To those saying it's time to completely tear the team apart and rebuild, I get the frustration but it doesn't make sense. Houston is the only team in the AL better than the Yankees. It doesn't make sense to start from scratch but that being said there need to be some changes. Boone, for one, should be gone. Using the Boston comeback vs the yankees as "motivation" should be fireable on its own. I have a bad feeling the Yankees are just going to stay pretty much the way they are heading into next season and lean on thinking the banning of the shift is going to help them out since they have a lot of players who get shifted against heavily and will more than likely see big improvements in batting average. That will be their argument if they don't make any real changes, since they "expect" the team to be capable of small ball next season due to the changes

  • @josequintana3669
    @josequintana3669 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The Yankees will be telling us all what their plans are for the next decade. It all revolves around Judge. The arguments for letting him go or re-signing him are compelling. The easy decision, to re-sign him, is based on his production and status in the game. He is one of the main faces of MLB. He is beloved in The Bronx. Yet, he is now 30 years old, so his prime years are behind him. I believe he will maintain solid production for another five years. I certainly would not sign him to a contract past five years.
    If, for some reason, he does not come back, Cashman had better be ready to infuse some youth into the roster. There is no way Ohtani comes here. He prefers the West Coast of the U.S. Do we need another batter with 160+ strikeouts in 600 at bats? The Yankee brass will ultimately make this decision based on marketing and ticket sales. How many current season ticket holders will refuse to pay for another season if Judge walks? How does that affect their TV, radio, marketing, and merchandising income? Most home games are near capacity for attendance, so re-signing him won't bring any new seats into the Stadium. They are at capacity on that end. Will they lose viewers on the YES Network? Will they have to renegotiate advertising contracts at lower levels? Let's get real. The Yankee brand is the most important thing to Steinbrenner.
    The other factor is simple. Re-define the roster to fit a different playing strategy. Letting Judge walk will at least relieve the club of a mega contract that could go south in a couple of years. No one can control injuries; that's just the way the cookie crumbles. Yet, Cashman has to rely on his pro/minor league scouts on what they see throughout the league and minors. Analytics should only be used for very specific situations. Analytics should not be used to write an everyday lineup. Baseball guts should. Honestly, you would think a baseball lifer like Boone would be able to write an MLB line up? The man has seen probably tens of thousands of baseball games in his lifetime. He needs a computer to figure out where to put Judge? Leadoff? Are you kidding me?

    "This time, nothing", I agree Michael! The roster construction is POOR and Houston pitched better and makes contact first before hitting HR's. HOWEVER, the Astros can NOT be like BIG DADDY YANKEE UNTIL they win MULTIPLE titles. If they lose 3 straight World Series with only one asterick title, they can't even win in the Fall Classic when they get there like the Yankees. That is how BADLY they want to be like Big Daddy so badly! Cashman needs to be gone after this embarrassment.

This doesn't mean that we would've came back & sweep the rest of the games, but if we had won then we still had a slight chance to win the ALCS. Games 1 & 2 were winnable, but our offense didn't hit well, especially when Verlander got tired & might've won the ALCS if they had up their capabilities.

    Exactly what I been telling my Yankees friends. One big problem with this team and sorry this is on the organization, I mean the guys in the suits and ties. The Astros like most teams are driven by analytics. It comes down to the Astros have a great analytics department and Yankees dept is horrible. Personally I hate analytics because team’s rely to much on it and forget the eye test. I would start cleaning house there get a new analytics department. Get a new GM and hopefully the new GM fires the manager. He’s a buffoon. You can’t have a different lineup every day. What other teams do that? The Yankees front office have tried to outsmart baseball, the game and you failed Yankee front office, failed and you screwed your fans that pay hard earned money, you owe them.
