    Most of these meal plans seem like they're expensive, bad tasting, with tiny portions... even though they're "healthy," it'll just lead to a binge in the long run

    The virtue of the containers are environmentally overshadowed by the rest of all the waste. Each shot in a plastic bottle, wrappers on the dishes and that is all apart from the price per day, enough to feed a family. I would like to see you re create all the menu in typical Grack style with Grace flair and passion.

    Those calories would not be enough for a 15-year-old me. One generally accepted theory I encountered during my recovery from anorexia is that your brain gets a bit more alarmed (i.e. 'clearer') because it wants you to go find food to feed a starving body. I'm not saying that Grace was 'starving' for a fun video; I just want to point out that 'detox' is really a myth!

    • @genius2655
      @genius2655 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      YES! I noticed the same thing in recovery. The ‘mental clarity’ that people claim to experience during intermittent fasting is temporary and is a survival reflex to ensure you’re able to thinking clearly while finding food.

    Grace you can make your own bone broth! You go to a butcher's and ask for an oxtail which you cook up in water with onion, carrots and herbs for like 4 hours and then the meat just falls off the bone and it's soooo good. I like to cook tortellini in it :)

    It would be interesting to see a dietician's review of this, as a lot of Gwyneth's previous claims have been debunked. There also doesn't seem to be any variation for different lifestyles and requirements: as you often say, there is no "one size fits all" in terms of diet.
    A few points:
    - juice/smoothies can only count as one of your 5 a day, because they don't contain the same fibre as fresh fruit and therefore your body processes them more like any other sugary drink (the nutrients are still good for you though)
    - bone broth is just stock and dead easy to make yourself: you literally just boil the bones in water. The easiest one to make is chicken after a roast dinner (because most other meats don't come with the bones nowadays) - once you've carved the meat off, shove the carcass in a pan, add boiling water and leave to simmer for a bit. The stock can be used for soups, stews, gravies, risotto or just drunk on its own if you really want to

    Ocado sell a great organic bone broth, Borough Broth is the brand. However, making your own is soo much better and nowhere near as expensive. Chicken feet make the best bone broth in my opinion.
    I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you should try a week of Ancestral eating! Your body will appreciate it greatly and it’ll make great content.

    I think it would be Important for you to point out, that you ate outside the „mealplan“ when you felt hungry aka its maybe a good idea for „healthier“ options but you shouldnt diet or strictly holding on to a plan That leaves you feeling starved.. because than you wouldnt feel That energyzing Effekt that Grace discribed (also if our bodies are hungry for longer periods they put us in „stressmode“- thats oftentimes decribed as „feeling energyzed“ -simmillar to when people Go on diets - ) So mealplaning; yes if it helps you to eat what your body really Needs- but that includes listening to it and also be intuitive within. :)

    I PROMISE you can make your own bone broth! Get a rotisserie chicken, eat it for dinner, then throw the carcass along with all of your vegetable peelings you're going to start saving in a plastic bag in your freezer into a crockpot and cook it on low for 12-24 hours (you can also simmer on low on the stovetop for a couple of hours). What you end up is bone broth, so called because when it's cooled it gets a bit gelatinous because of the cartilage that has broken down. I pour it into ice cube trays and then use one when I make rice or pasta or need some extra flavoring. Or I use it to make soup.

    Dear Grace, love your videos. Bone broth is simple to make you can even use a slow cooker or instant pot. Lots of recipes online. :) I think you feel so good because you aren't eating processed foods. If you want to see how you feel for a month you could try something like whole 30 or paleo diet to help cut processed foods but it would be less restrictive and expensive. I agree not to limit our foods too much but sometimes it is nice to do a little reset, change our habits a bit and be healthier for it.

    • @SarA-cw9xc
      @SarA-cw9xc ปีที่แล้ว

      I also wanted to say it's annoying that these meal plans tend to be calorie restrictive. Sometimes people want healthier options but they need more calories. I think something like this could be really helpful when you are pregnant or just had a baby because you might not have energy to cool but you want to eat very healthy. But you need lots of extra calories that these types of meals dont provide.

    I know this is random but I just wanted to say that I saw a Felix catfood pouch at the beginning and wanted to make you aware that it isn’t a good thing to feed your cats, it includes sugar and other things cats shouldn’t eat… if you are able to I would look into high quality food for your cat … my cat used to eat Felix too and was „healthy“ but it’s still better to change the food eventhough it isn’t easy.
    I‘m not from England so I don’t know which food brands are available, but I would look out for food that has at least 60% pure meat and for it to be declared aka like that it says it contains liver muscles etc… and very important no sugar or grain… This is not suppose to be an attack, like I said I wasn’t aware either a few years ago I just want to make you aware ❤

      Please look up the WSAVA Nutrition Guidelines-- these are guidelines developed by an international board of veterinarians + animal nutrition researchers which are considered the gold standard! Looking at the ingredients of Felix, although it's not "top tier" veterinary grade food, it's perfectly reasonable especially with the high moisture content. Regarding "grain-free"-- that is unfortunately a horrible marketing scam that is genuinely causing pets' health to suffer 😢 There was a study done that linked grain-free diets in dogs with the development of DCM-- it was found out that it's more likely the tough to digest vegetable starches and alternative starches that "grain-free" companies replace the grains with that caused this. Now, the FDA is investigating this same connection with DCM in cats bc a similar correlation was found. Fun fact: one of the treatments for heart disease in cats is ensuring that their diet has grain in it!

      So true I used to feed mine gourmet and then realised they actually only have to put 4% meat in, she's been on royal canin for a while now and it's good - can be tricky to get good cat food in the UK all the ones that advertise being natural etc still have 96% shit thrown in

    • @norma-6440
      @norma-6440 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@co_co_chantal Honestly I am quite confused by your answer regarding the grain thing, there is a difference between the digestive track of dogs and cats which makes dogs able to digest grains better than cats… as far as I know from the knowledge I accumulated over my research cats intestine is shorter and you need a “longer” intestine to digest it properly… cats are able to have a little bit of grain but it should be limited and the best diet is a diet that has a very high meat content. Since I am open to learning new thing I went ahead and looked at the WSAVA food recommendations and immediately saw that their partners are brands like Nestle Purina and royal canin and Hills which are brands that have an immense amount of money and power and I know that even local vets recommend those brands buttttt they genuinely aren’t good brands please trust me. I mean Royal Canin for example is a animal food brand owned by Mars a sweet company if that doesn’t immediately ring some red flags I don’t know what does… at the end of the day everyone is allowed to believe and to do what they want do and I am not saying you should feed your animals a certain way but I do believe and I think most people will agree a diet that is the nearest to the diet they would eat in nature is the best for them aka meat cats don’t go around and nibble on grain :)

    The reason why your sleep has been improved, is due to your blood sugars being stabilised.
    From what I've seen, all the foods you've eaten are practically natural foods with natural ingredients and lack of refined sugars, those foods don't really spike your blood sugar levels. Blood sugars being high will cause sleeping problems, so since you've been eating ''healthy'' (quote on quote for a reason) your body will not be actively running on full blown energetic mode at night, in which you'd be able to sleep properly. And feeling energetic after eating well? That would likely because you've been having good sleep, waking up rested and ready for the day!

      Lack of usual simple carb input or high sugar imput means during the day blood sugar stabilized also, meaning fewer drops in energy. She's our girl! Go Grace!
