  • The video is okay quality.....lots of "bare" spots in it...where you'll have to fast forward especially before they do their "melody". You'll see what I mean with that....lol... Enjoy though!!

I love these two. How lucky were we, to have them. How much they loved eachother, it showed so naturally.
    Miss them. Thank
    You, For sharing.
Steve. So tragic when you lost her,
But, she is Still there with you.

Steve and Eydie will be remembered for their amazing talents all over the world. The last of class and night club acts galore !!! The last of evening gown and tuxedo attire!!! They were respectful and the their audiences were the same in return Because this is the way it should be !!!!!! Why isnt it this way Now WHY !!!!!???????

Society has gotten sloppy in their dress attire. That is very sad.I remember getting dressed up in better clothing just to go out to eat. Now it's jeans/jogging pants and what not. People were more classy back then.

The reason is that this world has changed horribly especially in the U S where young people don,t care about talent like this anymore and won,t show respect for people like this and won,t get dressed up anymore, it,s so horrible and unforgivable !!!!!

My ex-husband was their sound engineer when Michael died. A few years later I was in the audience when Eydie sang the song she said she'd never sing again after losing her son, "If He Walked Into My Life."
      We all cried.

Eddie and Steve they were a outstanding singers and when they perform you can see the love they had for each other they always had a certain glow about that as husband and wife, the friendship with Frank Sinatra lasted for many years and they toured with Frank Sinatra and always did a wonderful show before Mr. Sinatra came on for the main event of that evening.
I was very fortunate I was invited at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City at a rehearsal Steve and Edie for practicing for the evening show and what a thrill it was for me to be sitting at the rehearsal and they both were amazing and I was totally enthralled put their performance they were both very cordial with me that evening and I was in 7th Heaven not only because I was mingling with Ed and Steve but the icing of the cake was with mr. Sinatra what fond memories I have I was truly blessed being in the same room with these three wonderful artist

Such a successful performing couple, very few of whom had both star-quality individual and duo careers and remained together. I mean, Ike and Tina Turner, they aren't. Louis Prima and Keely Smith, they aren't. Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, they aren't. Yes, more like Phil Harris and Alice Faye, but Harris and Faye didn't perform much together. Jack Benny and Mary Livingston? Mary didn't like show business and retired. That kind of leaves us with Steve Allen and Jayne Neadows, Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis, Jessica Tandy and Hume Cronyn, who had long careers individually and in tandem. Not many more. All of those couples really seemed to believe in each other, and I don't think you can fake it for 50 years and more. Bravo to Steve and Eydie. I wish Eydie were still with us.

I know some people viewed S&E as a bit cheesy (Saturday Night Live was especially rough on them, for example) but I think they were really just slightly out of sync with the times. They were a generation behind Sinatra, but were doing a lot of the same type of traditional jazz pop material. They were total pros and fine musicians - I would argue that Lawrence's voice was actually a better instrument than Sinatra's, even if he didn't have quite the same interpretative skills - and they may well have had even greater success had they been born 20 years earlier. Lawrence still sounded great right up until his retirement a few years ago.
