    This was a really good series... that 2.0 should make that little Samurai scoot down the road pretty good. Really good swap series

    Very Cool! Probably a Silly question here, but I have an 87 Samurai with newish rebuilt 1.3 8v I live in a hilly town (Globe, Az) with lots of trails so I just want to use local. My gas usage sucks driving around town, would I get better performance and milage going with a 1.6 16v or would I just get better performance with worse gas use? Same question for when on the long low and slow trails?

      @@MrCoolJaybo1 well it would stand to reason that if you had more horsepower you would t be into the throttle as much and would use less fuel, but I can tell you from daily driving mine for going on 3 years that with my lift, tires, and gears I get horrible fuel mileage no matter how I drive lol 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣

    I keep hearing that the 1616 valve engines aren’t that great because I only got like a couple water in the top of them or something and I’ll just it’ll fry the motor for no reason do you know anything about that? I just rebuilt a brand new 1616 valve have enough 98 sidekick. I love the vehicle, but just a little worried to take it out very far.

    after driving this, How much faster do you think a samurai with stock suspension/gears/tire size would feel with the 2.0 swap? I plan to swap one and build a custom oil pan/pickup to clear the front axle. This would be for the street mostly.

    hello bro, I got an option for a j18 that is selling almost for free cause it's leaking oil and the owner doesn't wanna bother with it, I am thinking of overhauling it and keep it,
    I have an old SJ410 that I swapped the 5 gear tranny from a Samurai, would you say it's a better option than a g16b swap?

    • @CTMadModz

      @@CTMadModz thanks! may I ask why and given that if j18 is not good, my options are now between g16a, g16b and m13a cause there are some cheap options around here, I have some g16a accesories like ac and power steering, would they work on g16b?

    • @CTMadModz
      @CTMadModz  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@dalfaroux I try to avoid any engine with a timing chain if I can. Timing belts are easier to deal with. I also don’t like interference engines, and try to avoid those as well.

    • @dalfaroux
      @dalfaroux 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@CTMadModz oh bro now I'm kinda confused, I thought j20 was like that on both timing chain and interference (like j18) for me going for the j18 instead of the j20 would be a matter of money, cause it is the same for engine with accesories than it is costing me for a g16b also with accesories (i can't afford current regular j20 prices on my country)
      I haven't upgraded transmissions or gearing on my sj410, I planned on doing the engine first but doing just 1 upgrade instead of growing out from a g16a looking for more power, and then focusing on the rest, I have the 1300 5th transmission, this is why I also thought of going j18 instead of j20 for fear of ripping the thing apart
