If I had the money, I will buy one of this straight up but for now I think I will wait for some depreciation and grab one later
Loved the old QX80 style the new one is nice but it just looks like a bigger palisade
You guys have become really good at keeping a straight face while you review these luxo barges.
Honestly too late… I don’t expect Infiniti to last another 10 years. I just don’t see people shelling out this much for a brand in decline.
10 more years?? No way! This brand is irrelevant in the industry now!. It should just go away, they have nothing to offer that’s worthwhile.
Looks better than Lincoln 😂
looks better than most of them
Ehh not to sure
@@balmainattitude no lol the Lincoln’s starting with the Navigator in 2017 are way better looking than this.
Gorgeous SUV. Really hope this does well for Infinity. They need it rn
Hard to imagine Infiniti commanding this price point. They’ve taken so long to refresh this model that they need to go back to being a value player and I’m not certain this represents a value in the segment. The simple question becomes would your wife prefer a BMW X7 at around 90k or an Infiniti at 100k….
What car did you get? Or do I need to hop over to your channel to find out?
Not revealing it until Spring on either channel so I can do a full build on it with consecutive episodes
@@TheStraightPipes appreciate your time as always to answer my questions.
still waiting for Doug to review this car.... he has never reviewed an infiniti since the Q50
2020 QX80 models are selling for 30k right now, just saying.
How well did Jakub fit in the back at 6'1 1/2"? 😎
Mentioned it
@@TheStraightPipes...and, I missed it?! Shame on me! 😂
I'm curious, who buys SUVs with captain chairs? I'm a family man, and I could not find a Qx80 with the bench seat. And if i was single, I would buy a truck, sedan or sports car. So who is Infiniti marketing the captainn chairs to?
An Escalade V competitor would require a 600hp tune at least and call it a QX80 S or they could resurrect their IPL branding.
Beautiful Vehicle
“I think I prefer the old one” is a CRAZY statement from a car reviewer 😭
That’s like half of cars we review these days
@ but this is the biggest upgrade Infiniti has ever made as a brand and it’s actually done 98% right.
The old model is a joke compared to this. Yes you loose a V8 but that’s about it. More power and better efficiency… I’ll take it
There’s no one that’s going to buy this Nissan over an Escalade lol. Unless its for price reasons…
No matter what anyone says, the best vehicle in this segment is the Cadillac escalade!
Moonroofs open and sunroof's don't. Atleast that's what owner's manuals from 20 years ago say
Another soccer man bus but hey, it’s better than a minivan!!
I’d take the Yukon any day
12:23 didnt they have IPL line?
Oh yeah they did
Hmmm maybe more Japanese Dodge Durango?
Is that Sonya Deville in the pink at 9:36?
Wow 134 before tax that like 150k 🇨🇦. You can get a fully loaded Palisade and a telluride for the same money. Btw didn't like the dated second screen. It looks so cheap.
2025 Escalade is it ready out (Next) or Lincoln Navigator. 🎉
It's just so massive and stupidly tall looking. Why would anyone want to deal with driving a school bus around town everyday? Had no idea people paid 6 figures for an Infinity lol, insane
no one is buying this. people spend this kind of money for a status symbol and "this ain't it"
Well, considering even jeeps cost 100k now. And every full size suv is around 70k. And the average new car is 48k. This is not overpriced at all. Look what pickup trucks cost now, or even tahoes or yukons.
@@amanasd26not everyone cares about a status symbol. People who have money and can actually look at cars objectively will see a nice big luxurious suv and not just think of the badge. Hell, range rovers are the least reliable and overpriced junks but people still buy them.
@@donn.4766 because Range Rovers are status symbols, you tried to disprove my point by proving my point. When people are not looking for status symbols they look for quality, reliability, good customer experience. I don't trust the Nissan Group to do any of those things with their current struggles.
Marketing talk an utter load of tripe, it’s not luxurious, it’s functional in style. It’s still a bus on suv wheels
EXTRA PIPES a good dig at THROTTLE HOUSE
Qx80 red sport?
Jacob with a FX45/50? 🤔
All the people that think they are saying the engine is shared with the GT-R really need to learn the definition of the word "derived".
As a lover of music in the car. Why no thourough 2 min. reviews on the factory stereos sound . Ive been in a few that are sweet and a few that are just down right terrible. And that was a 65,000 SUV
Just remember this is the new armada as well. But 20-30k more. Same drivetrain
I would take this any day over an escalade . 5 times on Sunday .
6:21 is get pearl white with black roof
Extra pipes? Like extra throttle house 😂😂? Potty you guys don't get along. Would be awesome a crossover, for all the fans!
Yeah too bad they don't get along with us, would be fun!
Infiniti has a swag Lexus can’t match. This actually has appeal with Americans similar to the GM triplets
Sure, but if resale value is important to you...ROFL. Infiniti's are trash after the lease period.
that is true
No xl and v8 is a deal braker im sure a na aspirated 5.0l v8 in past would be good with auto start stop direct injection and cylinder should bump it to 20mpg
I prefer the chiseled looks of the Escalade vs the bulbous blobby-ness of the Infiniti
