Sir,,,,, is this system work where there is no network? I'm a on a project called Vehicle accident indicator I'm using GPS module to track the vehicle location ,, but I'm confused what system I should use to send message when accident happens and it trigger the sensor so it will send the message....but if I use GSM with GPS the GSm can't send the message where there is no network . So if u gonna tell me that this system can send message when we use it with sensor to trigger this will be very helpful for me So PLEASE REPLY ME SIR , AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
In your Applet on IFTTT you added the message: "This message was sent from ESP8266-CircuitDiges" but it does not appear in the message sent to my smart phone nor on the serial print screen. What is it for?
Is there an ESP8266 with 4 gpio pins? I have a "thing" from sparkfun, but thought I could get on of the $2 chips from china for a simple project. I was going to run wires from 4 triggers, but I could re-think it and use 4 separate 8266's with battery power and eliminate the wires. Then I would have 4 new wifi devices connected to my network.

Hello, I've copied and pasted the code. IFTTT in the web browser is working fine and I am getting the sms but when I"m running the code from the esp8266 ... in the serial monitor it is only showing IP but it cannot access the IFTTT! In serial monitor it says: " connecting to maker.ifttt.com , connection failed " . It is unable to connect to maker.ifttt.com. Does it have to do anything with httpsPort which is 443 over here. Could you please give some suggestion?

this is great, the problem is thinking of a pratical use for this.im thinking of connecting it to my garage door, so i know if its been used.another use would be to the mail flap on the front door, so you know when the postman has been.i guess another use would be an alarm button for an old personmaybe also connect to door bell, burglar alarm, below zero temp alarm ......

Yes you can. You just have to add the phone numbers separated by a Semi-colon (";") when you feed your number in the IFTTT website
