I am going to be imprisoned for 7 hours each day minus weekends and holidays. They call it learning, and I guess I am learning how to hold back my tears.
Last week our teacher told us we must already live real and happy life and don't think that time before school end is only preparing. My thoughts: Thats good idea, but there is one problem: SCHOOL (and homework)
Eum i woudnt suggest learning law in highschool at the age of 15. I study law and started around 18/19 after already graduation another education. Alot of laws are harsh and a bit to much for younger ages
So what you're telling me is that if I went to an alternative school I would be able to make eye contact with people, talk to others without being scared of them, not want to jump in front of a train and not have to ask my own damn mother if I can eat something that she cooked for ME because I was taught to never speak, take or go anywhere without a supervisor allowing me to? Well it's to late now, I'm like 2 years away from graduating
Ha... Yeah. Anxiety is cool. It's not. But I can't do anything without asking someone. And then they get mad at me for not being able to do something without asking, which makes it so I can't ask, so I'll just never do that thing. Like eating food. At some point they just get the food for me and get mad that I didn't get it myself, which... I can do nothing about. I just don't eat at all. Unless I know I'm allowed and nobody is around to ask. And even then I feel anxious about doing it. Food is for nerds, anyway. And I'm far too stupid to be a nerd. Kill me. Hail Sithis.
I'm bout' to tell you something Levi D. I refer to school as "prison" or "hell". I don't think I have to explain myself much. Especially in 2 of my classes.
Watched this while I was still in high school. Have pretty much 'failed' at all schoing since. Watching again now to take notes so my kids will have a better time in school than I did with my undiagnosed ADHD
Sorry you had to deal with that. I know that pain all too well, even when trying to talk to my parents about it they'd get snippy at me for my ability to "choose" to focus on things, not aware that hyperfocus was a symptom of it too. Feel like I lost out on a lot of help only available to you in your youth.
@@astroliqht2773 It was a joke? Sorry if that didn't come across, also, stop attacking people over shit like this, it's ridiculous to have to deal with people who somehow think they're "SuPeRiOr FAnS" because they know more about a fandom. Maybe this is why people call Brendon's fanbase toxic... Fake fans don't exist, just people who enjoy music and want to enjoy it at their own pace.
@Annabelle Luschei I know lol I was joking because I've had a bunch of people attack me viciously for spelling it correctly, sorry my joke didn't really come across.
I used to go to a standard middle school and ended up getting F's in every class for all 3 years (except year 1 where I wasnt completely destroyed but I still got poopy grades) now I have about a 75% to a 90% in all classes because im in online highschool I know the grades arent impressive but going from F's to passable grades is pretty good for me
Christopher Gay 3 I’m glad you turned out well. Be proud of yourself for the improvement and know that you have a great future ahead of you. I wish you well.
i feel like all schools should be like this so kids are wanting to go to school and feel happy there. rather than kids pretending to be sick so they don't have to go.
I seriously doubt that in 20 years the school system is probably still the same crap because the only ones who can change this is the department of education and they are too busy swimming in cash to care about children
"rather than kids pretending to be sick so they don't have to go" you got me there buddy, but i dont just pretend to do that, i also find myself wishing to be sick so that i dont go to another school day of just anxiety. So yeah i agree with you.
My mom lied to me saying she'd get arrested for not going to actual school, and saying she couldn't deal with homeschool because I wouldn't NEED homeschool, just learn myself :>
I honestly love the global pandemic. Ngl. I mean, I’m not a retard and I’m not trying to get it or wish anybody to get it. But those extra 3 months of summer break made me feel free. Now I’m in zoom class with my parents yelling at me which I don’t blame them because if I don’t go to class they go to jail. But how do I go to class If my teachers are to incompetent to post a zoom link/id. Idk.
This week all the people in my class were happy about getting out of school for 2 days because of a hurricane. Hurricanes are not supposed to be happy, they are dangerous and deadly, school has ruined the minds of students!
I’ve had pretty close to the same experience, and I agree public school is worse and I felt like more of a social outcast there then I ever did at home by myself
Ayela Ruiz in that case just accept you’re gonna fail and stop going to school until next year. Or if you’re rich bribe the principal, and if you’re Italian threaten get your boys in the mafia to lynch them

“Online school turned out to be significantly worse” Your damn right about that. I’m going to go into high school and not know shit about anything because I was eating chips and reading Wattpad during my zoom classes
When I was in elementary and middle school I was the “gifted kid” people called me a genius because of how good I was at absorbing knowledge. I was taught not to talk to the “dumb” kids and to hang out with other “gifted” kids. As soon as I got to high school I got hit by reality. I was overly confident and expected AP and honors classes to be easy for me. I couldn’t handle having to study because it made me feel dumb. I refused to study because it hurt my ego so my grades got lower. My friend who was smart but had a speech impediment was not “gifted” and was given special classes to suit her needs. In high school she took honors classes in subjects she was confident in but didn’t cram it down her throat. Now that we’re older she is happy and put together, while I’m mentally ill and lack social skills because of my identity from a young age being one of the “smart” kids.
exact same thing happend to me i looked at it from a different perspective and said to myself that studying is just to keep that knowledge and have it in your long term memory because i was one of these smart kids i thought anyone lower than me is not worth talking to and guess what once i talked to them they didnt seem stupid at all people are so fed up with the idea of a damn number from 1 out of 10
I was one of the ‘gifted’ kinds in elementary and middle school. I’m a sophomore in highschool now and I have all kinds of issues because of the extra stuff everyone expects of me because of how I was as a kid
Me: shows this vid to my mom Her: "DON'T BELIVE EVERYTHING YOU SEE ONLINE SWEETIE" Coming home from school Her: how's your day sweetie? Tell me everything I read online that if you talk to your kids more they won't get depressed Me: don't belive everything you see onli- her: NO YOU DONT TALK BACK
In my school we get along with the security guards so they have some company while protecting the building. What we do is come up to them at lunch and after school and talk to them, share our food, or buy them some snacks from the cafeteria. They are pretty fun ones you get to know them. They'll start joking around and ask how were doing more often. Even the teachers start doing the same like buying them some drinks or give them a huge tip.
Yeah, but I bet sudburys would be amazing, because there is still a society, human contact, and a goddamn fucking economy, why can't the government at least support Missouri schools (I talk about governments generally here) as a form of mainstream education
I want to fuse Minnesota and Missouri in a fictional world now. (not the real world because that would be awkward and probably no one would like it, least of all the residents of the fused states.)
I was in a montessori school and now im in an international one , both didn’t cost anything. Sorry for my bad english I only started learning it 2 years ago .😋
If I actually showed this to my parents then they’d have assumed I was just an edgy teenager who didn’t like school and wouldn’t even watch the video at all.
That's so sad, I'm sorry to read this, As a parent that homeschool's, I hate to see how kids are still being put through the same old system... revisions are needed so badly. Learning happens is so many ways that are more fun. May the force be with y'all.
I feel like bullying is sometimes developed in high school because we are bored and there’s a lack of drama. Sad to say I have contributed to this because I was in the mean girl friend group my freshman year and then when I seen what it did to people, it started to bother me. I tried to stop being like the other girls in my friend group and then they started talking about me. I got tired of the drama being pointed at me, so I left the friend group and called them out in person and on Snapchat. I haven’t talked to them since.
I have a huge issue with my confidence, and honestly sitting in a desk and being told what to Learn makes it worse. I can never make any decisions for myself anymore. Whenever someone asks me a question I either say I don’t know, I don’t care, or make the decision for me. I used to be way more confident in myself before I went into 2nd and 3rd grade. I honestly 100% agree with everything you are saying.
I go to an alternative school, and it has really helped me. I'm now more engaged and learning, I listen better, and I'm just generally happy. So you bet your ass that alternative schools are better than the normal public school systems
our online school is 4 hours. but 1 hour feels like *5 hours. I said "a 5 hours" sorry for bad grammar... -_- edit 2: *I edited it now so pls don't remind me of typos.*
Also attention span is measured as 2 or 3 times the childs age.. So 15 year old would have an attention span of 15-30 minutes, while lessons are much longer than that....
Same, the amount of stress just makes me wanna bawl my eyes out in the middle of the hallway. I literally have no close friends I'm so anti-social. I cry myself to sleep so many nights expecting that if I just cry enough something will change. Also, in the middle of the day at random times I'll get sudden waves of confidence, and I'll think that I can just tough through my miserable day, but then an even bigger wave of doubt and reality will come screw that over, of course. Anyways, I probably seem pitiful now.
GoldPepper495 😢🙁 Don't worry my dear it will get better! I was like that in school; I never made any friends because I was so quiet and afraid to speak to anyone. But I persevered and got my GCSEs and now I'm in college. I hate educational institutions in general but now I can speak myself without debilitating fear.
It was this video, along with the song, that convinced me to homeschool my daughter from day one. We're going into her 4th year now. Thanks Boyinaband!
My big sister has to wake up at 5:30 and at 11:00 I saw her doing her homework so I offer to help her but she don’t want me to, I tell her to sleep but she don’t want to :(
You're telling me that I DIDN'T have to mindlessly "learn" about things I'm not interested in, and that it's bad to be in a place that is mentally, physically, and emotionally draining for over 8 hours a day? Who would have thought that forcing children to strip away creativity from their mind, and punishing finding ways to learn that can help young students learn more effectively is BAD for impressionable youth? This video is like the most true thing I have ever watched. I learned more from this 20 minute video, that I would spending a week at an 8 hour-a-day classes.
shcool is not that emotinal draining you know what is bieng stupid AF in the real world where its a lot harsher look at the reality not the "oh i dont have to go to shcool"
My family almost got sent to court because I was sick for a week. Despite the fact I’d been to the hospital multiple times that week. I live in England.
Rose Vampire America is the same way. I have a week immune system and I get injured a lot so I miss a lot of days and then the school freaks and threatens my mom with truency (police for attending school basically)
Rose Vampire I live in Scotland and I was off for like a month cuz I was seriously ill then I went back and other than having to catch up on stuff it was just normal
I went to a Sudbury school from when I was 4 to when I was 11 and it was a great experience the only problem is that there were literally no classes I could even choose to join so it wasn’t really possible for me to learn things I was interested in, also I think some education should be mandatory like at least basic math and reading because most of the kids I met in school didn’t even know how to read. I’m now in 6th grade and I’m going to a charter school which is a little more strict than the schools you were talking about but I still really like it, and I don’t really know how different it is from normal school because I’ve never been to a normal school.
Instead of being forced to sit and stay and learn stuff your not interested in, you should have a time frame where you learn basics (like around first and second) then you should get a list of what is being taught then you just head to a class and sign in and sign out when you enter and leave, that way you can watch the children and comply with laws but still teach kids what they want to learn. Please expand on my idea if you want, it is not a great idea though. I can't remember much of my year in public school but from what I can remember I was bullied and my school turned a blind eye because "they have no proof" except some bruises on my arms, they would notify everyone the day before a field trip, if you were not done with the work at the time you would be moved to one of the next grade classrooms while the rest of the class got a break. I was moved out of the class half way through the day for a "brain break" with a couple other kids and they never had a set time expect it was always during when they were giving instruction. The year before I was at the kindergarten at Weber state University, so I had I different mind set then what they wanted. I also remember being told I could not put a punctuation right after and, and other things like you should put a blank line between paragraphs. Sorry if this is hard to read, I kinda started rambling on.
i'm unschooled but i went to a sudbury for a few weeks when i was 11 and they had student-lead classes like a math class that you could take! they also had a few student-lead clubs and whatnot
@@willarooo Cool! My experience probably differs from a lot of others, but that’s just what it was like at my school. I’ve heard from people who used to go there that there used to be classes similar to what you’re talking about, but the school’s original goal has slowly been left behind.
My mother, all through my childhood, treated me and my older sibling as an equal to her. She trusted us profusely, until she found a reason not to. When I first went into middle school, I immediately noticed the difference in how I was treated. Some of the people there made me feel like I was a bad kid, even though I was probably one of the most innocent, people pleaser there. My mom later told me that the reason she treated us like adults is because when she was younger, she remembers feeling lesser than all the adults in her life. She once told me that kids rise to the standards you set them up for. If you assume they are terrible people right off the bat and treat them so, they have nothing to lose by acting the way you assumed they would. If you put your trust and faith in them, they work to keep that because it feels good to be treated like that. Anyway, I'm done ranting now. 😁
I didn't wanted to see a 8 minute long video from online school because it was boring. This video is 20 minute long and i watched everything because is fun and not boring :D
While learning about different types of government, my teacher literally said, "My classroom is a dictatorship in which I am the dictator. You have do not have a say and I have complete and total control."
My teacher did this too. She made a stupid law of the day every day and if we didn’t follow it we’d have to write a stupid ‘sincere’ apology to the ‘merciful’ dictator Matthews. It was all jokes but I never followed the rules and refused to fill them out. Oh she said she’s handed out SIX HUNDRED apology slips that’s such a freaking waste of paper
In the US we have compulsory education laws requiring school attendance or verified homeschool until 8th grade save religious exemptions like in the case of the Amish where the kids will be working instead.
School logic: if you miss your detention, you get a longer detention. if you don't go to school, you get expelled. if you don't make progress, you're doing badly. if you can't reflect using a "grade yourself out of 10 then write a what went well and even better if", you're not trying/you don't care about your education. You learn topics multiple times. We did alkali metals and halogens in year 7, 8 and 9 in the same amount of detail.
OMG I HATED THE RATING THING. MY TEACHER WOULD SPEND FIVE MINUTES INTERROGATING YOU IF YOU DIDN’T SAY 5 OUT OF 5, COMPLAINING THAT YOU WEREN’T LISTENING, BUT WOULD CLAIM YOU WERE LYING IF YOU *DID* PICK 5 OUT OF 5, BECAUSE “NOBODY’S PERFECT.” F*CK CAPS WERE LOCKED BUT IT IS FITTING I WON’T FIX IT.
I agree, this is messed up! The system is screwed. I really wish I went to a summary school. I've always done well in school, but I don't even understand their logic anymore. I was told by by my teacher, that if I miss classwork it homework, lose it, or turn it in late, that it will not be accepted! 😂🤷 What the f dude?! I'm flunking English because of her dumb logic. I've never gotten detention, but a friend of mine skipped hers, and got an extra week. 😂 If you turn something in late, you get ten points off, fir how many days late it is. Even if you got everything right, and did the extra credit! 😂🤷 We've learned the same things in English and Science for three years in a row! 😂🤷 I HATE THE SCHOOL SYSTEM. If anything THEY'RE the ones holding us back, and keeping us from getting a good job. I mean, JUST👏 LOOK👏 AT👏 THE👏 STATISTICS! 👏
One time in 4th grade, A kid asked a teacher if he could go to the bathroom. Of course the teacher said "no", so the kid ended up pissing ALL OVER THE FLOOR. If that's not deserved, I don't know what is.
I got suspended because in my school, if you use the bathroom too many times in an amount of time, you got suspended because you were a suspect of smoking/drinking. My teacher, for the 50000 time, asked, why I didn't go at home. I snapped and explained to her in a serious but angry voice with out raising it, "I go to sleep at 10pm, get 8 hours of sleep, wake up at 6:00 am, I live an hour away, school starts at 8, take a I 30 minute shower, eat breakfast for 5 minutes, grab all my shit that only gets used twice a year but you make us carry it around because you won't tell us when we'll need it and we all have anxiety so we bring it in fear of needing it and not having it, drive 2 hours. Get the stupid unexcused late pass, arrive at 8:10, then need to use the restroom because school says get 8 hours of sleep, get here at 8am, do these 5 packets of homework and don't get late, even if you live an hour away, so I don't have the time to deal with your shit right now." When I arrived to the office with a referral with my name on it, I was told, well, go to sleep earlier, wake up earlier, have time to do your stuff. My reply, I would but I have 5 Packets of homework and a 6 slide volcano presentation due tomorrow, give me more time and I'll go to sleep earlier.
"they had to get my writing permission to go to the bathroom, where else in adult society will that happen" I'm my school when my class needs to go to the washroom we have to ask our teacher and then we have to write down a name on a piece of paper

Little me: Hey, teacher, can you help me with this--- Teacher: No talking in class! (Two months later) Teacher: Why have you been failing this class? Little me: Well..um.... Teacher: I'll have to set up a meeting with your parents. Little me: But wait--! (At the meeting) Parents: It's probably because she watches too much TV. Teacher: I believed so. Little me: (But I can't even watch what I want, so what's the point of watching TV at all?) Parents: Don't worry, we'll be sure they do their work. Little me: (But I do my work...it's just that I don't understand it.) Teacher: Thanks for meeting with me. Parents: No problem. (At home) Parents: These grades are unacceptable! You're grounded for two months. Little me: ...okay... Unfortunately, that story didn't have a happy ending. I ended up grounded for an additional month since I couldn't get any help with my work from the teachers. I had to wait till my friends helped me out. It sucked.
I KNOW RIGHT! phones are banned in my school which is usually the only thing I look forward to in school is watching yt hidden at the back with my friends.
"Not all parents can homeschool though. Some parents have full-time work, so they would find it hard. Some parents are dead, so they would find it really hard." Just got off the phone with the cemetery. My mother did indeed find it REALLY HARD to home school me.
@Farland Christopher Nah. I was over it a long time ago. Shit it's been 14, 15 years now. Death's a natural part of life, and she'd want me celebrating her life and finding the humor. That's just the kind of person she was. I like to think she'd laugh at my joke too :).
I feel the exact same way, ever since I started homeschooling, I have grown on many other talents such as electronic music, graphic design, video creation, and finding myself. In public school there's not really a way to find yourself other than being told what you are or what you should be. In short, I used to be suicidally depressed from the persecution I got for trying to be myself, but now can be myself and expand on myself without worrying about persecution.
no this situation happened to me. I explained everything, and I mean everything wrong with the school system. they just got mad and with no proof to back up, they just said "stop complaining. many generations have been through this school system and you're just finding excuses." and they grounded me. Like okay, yes, many generations have been through the school system, but generations change and were beginning to outgrow the current system.

On the first week back normal school gave to me: 1 week of hell 2 headaches 3 late nights 4 lots of crying 50 dropout thoughts Edit: just came back and realised I have over 800 likes O.O
Another thing you never touched on is that students hate school to the point where we are happy to be sick and able to not go to the shit hole that is school. Happy to be sick, something which in earlier history could have killed you. Happy to be in a position where you feel like shit, but would rather it more than listening to a teacher talk for 7 hours with no communication with other children.
kbabe and the sad thing is, what you said is true for me and i actually want to learn, but school is so fucked up that i end up wasting 7 hours of my life every single day instead of learning useful things i can depend on each and every day
kbabe yes I agree when you get into a bigger school it is more strict like for example this happened to my and my friend we couldn't play football on grass in school even though it is grass we couldn't play and my friend is black and the teacher was racist as she did not give the ball back but when white ppl nearly hit my head with a ball she gave it back to them and they were older as well that was just racist and they teach us not be racist BTW I go to St Joseph and st beads cathic college they are pretty strict and I get very stressed when I do a mistake in my Spanish lesson this teacher is so strict that when u do a mistake and write a word wrong common sense is to put a line through it well if we don't use a ruler we get distension because it is vandaling school property a book you write in. I hate it I just think the teachers are racist, ohh yeah I went to a shop to buy some snacks when school ended and then got seen by a very not nice teacher and I got nearly band from the bus because I went to a shop and back to my bus that is just taking my right away 'moving freely' well I can't move 10 meters and back to my bus bcoz the teacher which is an assisantant of the head teacher nearly band from a transport that gets me safely home and got me nearly detension from him coz he is a very racist person
kbabe you guys only have 7 hours?! I have been dealing with 10 fucking hours! 10 hours of school making me want to kill my self because I didn't pass a goddamn quiz
You know schools are based around the idea of the student ending up in a factory hence the bells and being told when you can eat and when you may use the bathroom
I always felt that being forced to learn "X" curriculum for similar hours to a full-time job ...sitting in a hard chair in a stuffy building was a violation of the right to a free will .... "Kid Prison" ...and if you don't (as a parent) send them, YOU get locked up.
If you actually had covid-19 you would cough but you may have some time to laugh before the next cough but if you're talking about the mass panic this disease has caused then I get it but most likely that was a metaphor but I make it so you see the reality of inexestant actuallities.
Actually pretty much no one gets bullied anymore. Teachers only think that because they are forced to , anti- bullying is pretty much useless information that you have to learn
My school banned bathroom breaks during class so now we are no longer allowed to go to the bathroom and they banned selling water bottles so we are also dehydraded. I go to a very expensive private school. 10/10 would ruin kids lives again.
demi DoghnutDream what if you are on your period do you bleed all over bc school is 8 hours and it would smell if it’s a pad and literally let it soak your pad and pants or tampons could give you toxic shock.
"He gets STORM THORGERSON sounding like a norse superhero and I get _David Brown_ sounding like a *Tractor."* It's rare that something makes me laugh hard enough to cry into the nearest plush object.
Scoops Troops oops. Maybe all those stressed students will give you better funding. Looking at the education systems functionality, I’m guessing not probably.
School really tears children’s creativity into a million pieces. I remember when I was in 5th Grade, our art teacher was an absolute asshole. She would NEVER let us draw something WE wanted to draw. She had favorite students and CLEARLY showed us that she favored them. I accidentally had written that I was in 4th in my Sketch book (since we had recently joined 5th Grade) and she HUMILIATED me infront of EVERYONE. And see, I was a shy, awkward and sensitive little kid, so I was about to cry. I hated her, not because she humiliated me in front of everyone, no no, because she made me HATE art. Even though I was a fairly good artist, she made me hate art. She made me so insecure about my art. And do ya want another teacher who was ALSO an a**hole? Well let me tell you about our Music teacher. He told us, and I quote, ‘Fake name of a girl sings beautifully! She is my favorite student. She sings MUCH better than all of you’. I remember I always told that teacher to give me a chance to sing, but NOPE. And honestly, he didn’t make me hate music. But he still was an asshole.
both my fifth grade teachers were assholes (i was in a language immersion school so there were two teachers)one of them had favorites and had no patience whatsoever and frequently yelled at us, while the other would humiliate you in front of the class if you ever did something wrong or wasnt listening and he too would yell at us a lot. Everyone hated both teachers. But the whole school was crap so it made sense
I'm so sorry you had to go through that and idky but I hope you take pride in your art now, art and music is a way of expressing ourselves no one should ever have that taken away from them
@@shreyachekkala3434 Thank you so much! I do like my art now but she did make me hate art till i was in 8th grade. I started to become less shy after that. The thing is, our school was actually pretty great but she was the only a**hole teacher.
I'm a Recent Sudbury Graduate. This video is what got me into a Sudbury school 4 years ago. Sudbury saved and changed my life forever. I cannot overstate the positive impact Sudbury schooling has had on my life. Thanks Dave.
Peachy Spook that's great, I also go to public school, and I hate it, but guess what? I wanna have a home, a job, maybe a family, and not live homeless under a bridge addicted to crack. So please appreciate your education.
Peachy Spook same but I'm thankful I had to go to public school, I met my Wife in 6th grade (1st year of middle school) and we were both "the 2 emo bi girls" lots of bullying but on the end it works out. most people meet their best friends at public schools
If I comment this on the video then no one will see it so telling you it I don't have to explain myself In primary 7 me and my friend Benjamin made paper boats and by us I mean Benjamin and after we had around 500 and yeah I spent £15 pound's on note pads for the solo reason to turn into boats and sell them so anyway several times I asked the head teacher of we could sell them and she said yeah sure go away but anyway we were going to sell them for £0.05 and make a profit then after we sold 5ish the head teacher came rounds and said stop then I said that she said we could do it and she denied it So the moral of the story: all teachers SUCK
The problem is that what you learn sticks very hard to the teacher. We had a very good history teacher who didn't tell facts but cared about our understanding why things came like they did. On the other side we had a bad teacher in chemistry. We had to study the formula for a lot of chemicals by heart. After the revision I forgot all of them immediately. If I had had more freedom I would have had more discussions and would have had done more research. Most of the time I felt stuck in listening to things I would never need again.

I miss going to school because of home-schooling which is terrible and totally unorganized where I live, but if that wouldn't exist I really wouldn't want to go back to school.
Yeah I really wish we could bring up this topic again. I know Dave made these education videos a few years ago but I feel like we need to talk about it more since this problem certainly hasn't been fixed.
Yeah, especially when you're younger, I'm 15 and am in AP classes so I think the teachers I have now are a lot better about it, but in my younger-er years that kind of attitude by any adult caused me to have many problems, both psychological and in terms of getting into trouble.
I'm 12 ouo AP class in my school is boring for 6 yeesh my teacher is kinda strict like i always dream of falling off a cliff.
You don't wanna know.
i'm unschooled but i went to a sudbury for a few weeks when i was 11 and they had student-lead classes like a math class that you could take! they also had a few student-lead clubs and whatnot

While learning about different types of government, my teacher literally said, "My classroom is a dictatorship in which I am the dictator. You have do not have a say and I have complete and total control."
• Citrus • sweet baby Jesus. Is that teacher fired now?
My teacher did this too. She made a stupid law of the day every day and if we didn’t follow it we’d have to write a stupid ‘sincere’ apology to the ‘merciful’ dictator Matthews. It was all jokes but I never followed the rules and refused to fill them out. Oh she said she’s handed out SIX HUNDRED apology slips that’s such a freaking waste of paper

School logic:
if you miss your detention, you get a longer detention.
if you don't go to school, you get expelled.
if you don't make progress, you're doing badly.
if you can't reflect using a "grade yourself out of 10 then write a what went well and even better if", you're not trying/you don't care about your education.
You learn topics multiple times. We did alkali metals and halogens in year 7, 8 and 9 in the same amount of detail.
OMG I HATED THE RATING THING. MY TEACHER WOULD SPEND FIVE MINUTES INTERROGATING YOU IF YOU DIDN’T SAY 5 OUT OF 5, COMPLAINING THAT YOU WEREN’T LISTENING, BUT WOULD CLAIM YOU WERE LYING IF YOU *DID* PICK 5 OUT OF 5, BECAUSE “NOBODY’S PERFECT.”

If you turn something in late, you get ten points off, fir how many days late it is. Even if you got everything right, and did the extra credit! 😂🤷
We've learned the same things in English and Science for three years in a row! 😂🤷

One time in 4th grade, A kid asked a teacher if he could go to the bathroom. Of course the teacher said "no", so the kid ended up pissing ALL OVER THE FLOOR. If that's not deserved, I don't know what is.
Next time a teacher tells me to go before class Ima say, "Well I don't want to be late for your 'LOVELY' class."

Well yeah after all "98% of what you learn is a waste"
If I comment this on the video then no one will see it so telling you it I don't have to explain myself
In primary 7 me and my friend Benjamin made paper boats and by us I mean Benjamin and after we had around 500 and yeah I spent £15 pound's on note pads for the solo reason to turn into boats and sell them so anyway several times I asked the head teacher of we could sell them and she said yeah sure go away but anyway we were going to sell them for £0.05 and make a profit then after we sold 5ish the head teacher came rounds and said stop then I said that she said we could do it and she denied it
So the moral of the story: all teachers SUCK
It's the Odd1sout!
