This type of circuits are common in Chinese machines. The control circuit is common way Chinese present electrical controls.

I could be wrong but I think the K is what they use outside the US as a symbol for some sort of coil.

K1, k2, k3 could be relay or contactor coil.

K1 K2 etc. are all electrical relays. You can see their contacts used in circuits ie.e K1a1 is activated by K1
