We need a 'Better Business Bureau' of some sorts to hold these companies accountable in every state..
And they should all have representatives in each city and adjust pay accordingly..
And at no-point should any of us make min wage or less..
For ex where I live min wage is $13.50/hr, yet nothing in town pays less than $19/hr..
That's because avg rent is $1,800/mth and the avg house is $800k..
(Even McD's pays 22$/hr and they still cant keep staffed).. so any independent contractor destroying their own vehicle for a job here (small city in the Pacific NW), cant afford to make anything less than 30$/hr..
..but $30/hr might be 'too greedy' for someone in say Mississippi or West Virgnia where you can still get a house for 100k and eggs for under 8$.. so each city needs its own rep to adjust these rates..
..Yet 90% of the Instacart (and other) orders I see anymore wont even cover the gas cost, much less the shopping time.. We all deserve a Proposition 22!, or the next step is living in your car.. (which I've seriously considered just so I'll have a chance to save 'something'.)

They get held accountable by people not taking their garbage. Where I am in north chicagoland Im seeing orders going 40 to 50 miles for 25 to 30 bucks. But the drivers take it so it continues. stop taking it and thats how they get held accountable

Tell Uber/Lyft leave, then they let other rideshare co. come in.

Uber/lyft should be proactive instead of reactive... Nationwide rate should be $1.09 per mile & $ 0.39 per minute. ( Adjust it upward for large cities for cost of living) ( Get ride of the surge / quest & all the crap they keeping coming up with.

Uber and lyft don't have the overhead of a regular company... do they really need to take 45-50% of every ride? When my friend referred me to lyft, they were taking about 25%, now they're almost 50%, my worst take of a ride has been 10%

they’re actually taking about %70 percent and only paying us %30

They can leave now if they choose to, remember they’re so many apps that will charge less and give drivers more money

So, two weeks ago I, a Diamond driver with Uber, over 5000 5-star rides, was deactivated due to a " previous account that was deactivated" No ides what this is, what's really going on. Absolutely zero support when i contact Uber help. Guess you really pays for the government trying to intervene in Ubers business. I'm in the Mankato Mn market.

Drivers need more protection. Driver can get deactivated for just looking at the rider wrong.

Sergio, again, thank you for your support for helping all the drivers out, including myself. You open up my eyes a lot you told us things that no one knew about it but can you do me a favor? Can you guys talk to Uber or send them an email if they can stop excepting cars in LA for black and black suv maybe that might help us out because there’s less rides and many many drivers and they keep adding more in the uber platform I don’t know maybe that might help the Driver’s please

now, the city is in need of money and indirectly they are asking uber and lyft they want a piece of the pie. they get paid as usual and drivers have to suck it up as usual.

Chicago has the right. idea, that's a good payout. What's happening in Minneapolis is too much. They may lose. But Chicago, that's a good payout.

    • @messagesend8239
      @messagesend8239 ปีที่แล้ว

$1.40 per mile and $0.51 is not too much. Adjusted for inflation the $1.40 per mile is much less than drivers were being paid in 2013-14.

In 21 Texas drivers were paid .75 a mile and .38 a minute. An 80 mile trip paid $75-80

@@georgeplanas56 I'm pretty sure your 38 cents per minute figure is way off. Based on everything I've read the per minute rate in Texas was less than 15 cents.

That’s how Uber and Lyft are they’re scaring people just like how they’re scaring the drivers and everyone is excepting any crab rides special in Los Angeles
