Everfrost into fimbulwinter, frozen heart, and demonic along with another resistance+HP item (spirit visage for MR and boosted shields) might be good on a few champs, like chogath. Might be nice on Kass or another mana scaler, still pretty tanky but a lot more AP and a big chunk of mana from the mythic.

Just as a Note Zwag, in melee matchups like Talon, you want to Start/max E first instead of Q since they're usually more physical damage focused and your E actually does some fat deeps while making it easy to kite them back thanks to the slow. Give it a try and you might find it easier to harass people.
You, by far, are my favorite TH-camr for League. always have a video I can watch and enjoy

Kassadin's ability leveling is pretty versatile. I usually max e then q then w. I like e first because it lets me wave clear decently and I find w scales fine without leveling. Although I would go q first in a bad matchup like Talon
Against katarina I also max Q first because it cancels her ultimate so not only it is good for poking her from safety but also lowers the cooldown so i have it up everytime in case she goes all in

Hey Zwag, have you ever played AP Varus with Runaan’s Hurricane? The AOE auto applies blight, making it really good in team fights. I usually go the hail of blades runes with sorcery secondary(transcendence and gathering).

Just a heads-up, I didn't realize until it was pointed out to me by a friend: the full effect of Thornmail can only be activated by immobilizing a champion, so it isn't great on Kassadin

That seemed so doomed at the beginning, but the talon got cocky and decided to dive giving you under tower for a fat shutdown and then it was just steamroll from there, nuts.

I like how you only acknowledge the nunu being behind by like 2-3 levels for the entire game. So it was nearly a 4-5. Them base stats and bad buy timings really hurt.

You should try this same idea but use chemtank instead of frost fire gauntlet, with kassadin’s mobility he might be able to stack the passive quick
