this is why normal draft and ranked flex exist buddy.. go try your troll picks/off meta foolery there instead since you aren't gonna be gaining any lp from playing ad kass anyway.
A big part of this is that Muramana scales with total mana instead of bonus (which seraph’s does) which benefits massively from kassadin having the highest mana scaling in game
The greatest build you can make in League of Legends is Crit AD Alistar with Stormrazor & Bloodthirster. Go W max and then one shot Baron, it's a ancient chinese cow secret don't tell anybody.
I was wondering what my top lane opponent was doing playing this garbage in mid diamond. Bro went 1/13 at 18 minutes. Luckily for him, my D3 pyke was 2/14 at the same time so the game somehow lasted 30 minutes and he managed to finish the game with a slightly less depressing 5/16 score at 30 min.
God I still remember falling upon that first video you made back when you had like 1k subs and I had a Kappa emote Kassadin profile pic. Hearing about the origins of the build is very amusing.
Years ago in ye olden time, i remember taking kassadin to TT not knowing how hes played, and feeling the weird itch i played with a super off AD aura buff build i had for prerework taric, and absolutely slaughtered. I immediately got into a 5v5 with it, did pretty good, but the magic was lost after that
I was recently playing this build and found I enjoy summon aery the best. Thought the shield would apply on Kass's Q but it doesn't sadly. However the sheer poke damage you get from Aery throughout the duration of the game is INSANE. Absolutely worth a try. I wasn't getting the Value out of Conqueror that I wanted (mainly due to hyper sweats in my games). While Fleet Footwork just felt like a sustain rune.
I also played Muramana Kassadin many years ago with Malady (when it was still in the game, so around S2?). The occasional thought about it surfaces from time to time, but I've never tried to replicate it ever since.
You know, I remember trying Kassadin for the first time back then in a 1v1 with a friend who had played longer than I did (think it was called Proving Grounds before they reworked it to Howling Abyss), built Malady and Nashor's since I just thought that would make sense with his W and visuals, and they questioned why I wanted to play on-hit Kassadin immediately. My Kassadin build has been cursed from the start I guess!
Thumbnail made me think this was one more gameplay video but i was pleasantly surprised 10/10 will consider the build New viewers will get confused tho i feel
I remember many MANY years ago, I used to play both tank Leblanc and Kassadin (either that or it was 6 ROA, I forget), and would just chill in normal games and spam mobility in and out of enemy base just for the laughs. Ah, the good ol' days when I didn't play ranked...I'd actually have the time of my life
I tried out a build for Twisted Fate, lethal tempo keystone with Rageblade>Berserkers>Runaan's>Terminus>BoRK>Nashor's, and I got highest damage on my team. It was in ARAM so take it with a grain of salt, but the near constant E procs with the bit of AP from Nashor's and Rageblade and the new AD ratio made me melt even tanks so long as Runaan's could trigger.
so if you're a true man who doesn't need a baby boy shield to stay alive you go muramana. i am certain he can still see our messages. when he was "killed" there was no ounce of blood anywhere so it is very likely that he rift walked into savety
I hope to see a video like this about AP Xin Zhao soon, and a couple of gamepl;ay videos aswell. I subbed to you because I found an old AP Xin video as i am an AP Xin enjoyer myself.
@@aladdin8423 Arena was amazing, beside that I didn't play much last half year until the preseason with its item rework 3.0 or 4.0 XD. Back on topic though, AP Xin feels better then last season but that might be because everyone is still figuring out builds and bruiser builds are doing slightly less damage right now and the double scaling health runes make you heal more so early lane is easier this combined with being able to build both liandrry's riftmaker and jak'sho at the same time makes you super tanky compared to last season. Even rageblade is good now since it doesn't block you out of building a more impactful mythic, the buffed lich bane is also good if you want to rush sheem for some early game damage before going into ap. Wits end is pretty decent too, while not an ap item it adds a good chunk of damage through onhit and healing through attackspeed and the tenacity helps you stick to targets so you can keep attacking them to heal and guarantee your 3 hits to reset combo.
I think Zeke's is a pretty solid buy especially with malignance As a goofy build enjoyer I think something like Muramana Zeke's(since it gives health, I like having health and not raw armor ofc if the situation calls) Malignance Abyssal mask Seems like a good allrounder
Hey Cryo I hope you see this. I ran this build kind of way earlier. See Kassadins passive used to be that for every tick of Magic damage he takes he gains 1% attackspeed. So whenever I saw a singed, Cassio or Teemo it was ad Kass time. I'm so sad you only got around to this after his passive was changed. It's a shame.
I think that was Season 1 Kassadin? I only started in Season 2 but somehow my first build with him involved Malady and Nashor's Tooth since I just thought that would make sense given his visuals. Just took a while for me to think of the whole "Defensive Mana + Muramana" thing. I DO wish I got to try the whole "armor pen" Kassadin thing back then.
Yeah I think they changed it sometime mid season 2, I was pretty bad then so I never got around to properly theorycrafting what would work well, All I knew was Attackspeed/Tank Kass was fun and a good off-meta. In season 3 I used Tank Kass and GP builds to get to plat for the first time ever. This was such a lovely watch/throwback to old times. Would love to see more! Perhaps Trinity Force Orianna will one day see the light of day again.@@CryoBeat
I would love AP bruiser Kassadin to be a thing. His kit always looked to me like it wanted to be a bruiser kit in the first place. It's not like Kassadin has ever been in a healthy state anyway.
Y'know, I, surprisingly, have only just realised, that Cryo's pet builds, be it Thresh, Kassadin or TF, can be summarised as "AP's good, but what if... AD?"
i like manamune essance reaver volatic cyclosword steel caps boots and frozen heart with fleet footwork and manaflow band and gathering storm -whelp i am dead
Just a Reminder if you are against 5 AP ROA Seraph Kaenic Spirit Visage make you unkilable. Shield from Q Seraph and Kaenic are 25% Stronger with Spirit visage.
You’re better off building off AP bruiser items nowadays tbh. Like you said, Zhonya’s/Banshee’s are so good now, and on top of that muramana is a lot weaker than it was back in the day. Since you’re not building any armor pen you’re also not taking advantage of a lot of its damage, which is important because champs have significantly higher base armor than MR
I'm always afraid of trying "questionable" builds and playstyles in any mode beside limiteds and ARAM because people just whine at match start the moment they see an off meta rune, so hearing this is a nice breath of fresh air for the inventive folks out there, or the kitchen as you might call it I really like this concept and trust me, the first time I saw Kass I also thought that Manamune was the perfect item, and questioned why he didn't build AD, he has a sword for gods sake lol
Since I've mained off meta for a while now, I think it's really not often I get flamed for the pick alone. More often in ranked, yes, but I've also noticed people that get mad at it are getting mad about most things during the game as well, and likely even if I played meta, they'd find something else to get mad about. In normals at least, I'd say play as you like!
Gameplay, very soon, but a video like this might be take a while since I want to focus on the "Hook guide" video, that's been in the works for like a month or two now, first.
Still no love for Iceborn Gauntlet, though? I know it lost its mana, but it's waaaay better than Zeke's Convergence and only marginally more expensive.
Love the video but I don’t like the insinuation that you « made the build in patch 5.2 », I’m pretty sure I’ve seen ad kassadins with that exact build before
I made it for myself as far as I'm concerned at least. I did make a lolking guide at the time which did get some traction which I realise sounds like I'm insinuating it AGAIN, but I'm sure other people will have probably had a similar or the same idea. But if it is the exact build, it could've been from that, or just similar "muramana damage + mana = good" trains of thought. Like now, every Thresh top I've met in game usually doesn't know me, and before the baus build, they were pretty proud of coming up with whatever they were building themselves. Probably an over explain but I felt it necessary to (hopefully) not get taken the wrong way.
Eh, I get it. Fun should be more important than winning. I still play Pyke mid. I dunno what his status as a mid laner on a competitive level is, I just enjoy the funny stabby man
Pyke should primarily be roaming everywhere, so I don't see why you couldn't play him any lane besides jungle. Hell, if his dash still did damage to stuff besides champs, you could jungle with him too.
Wouldn't recommend it there. iirc they hard-limit his ult cooldowns to 3s/2s/1s, plus you have infinite mana sustain in URF as well, which largely weakens Kass overall but this build especially. Just AP with RoA is probably better, or just skipping mana entirely for full AP. I guess an alternative could be Riftmaker and other AP/HP items and such.
I came to this video because I think that Kassadin in its current form is garbage. I think that a champion who is absent from the game for the first twenty minutes is something completely wrong. I think that the problem is in the core of the champion and it needs a rework
gg I tried this in my ranked game and now there is a stampede of people ready to kill my family. 10/10 would recommend again.

No fucking way this guy made a skit of a TH-camr dying in his room 6 days before twomad does it. What the fuck
Season 1 AD Kass was super fun though, that 70 Armor Pen on his W was wild.

I miss old AP pantheon before his rework, a true jump scare jungler!

riot should give kassadin back the insane armor pen he used to have on his W
