I'm such a big museum person, and your videos really resonate with me. The way you explore history/art/culture (or whichever specific subject they focus on) reminds me of the joy I get from visiting museums. Your content is just as educational and engaging as a trip to my favorite exhibits! Keep doing what you do - it’s truly inspiring!

I've only been to Chicago once, but our group took full advantage and visited The Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, and the Museum of Science and Industry while we were there. It was such a blessing to be able to visit them all when we did. I need to get back up there some day.

Hey Jacob, the two museums that I grew up going to are the "North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences" in Raleigh, NC and the "Museum of Life and Science" in Durham, NC. I don't know if you've ever been to them or not but you might like to visit them since you also live in North Carolina. You could probably visit both of them in the same day since they're not that far from each other. Also, you could visit Pullen Park in Raleigh, NC since they have a really nice antique Dentzel carousel. I enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work.

Hi Jacob, I love your content lately. You do a great job. I liked the cat exhibit, and currently take care of three alley cats, two of which come in the house a lot. Growing up on the south side of Chicago, I have visited the great museums in Chicago, and I agree with you that they shouldn't have removed the giant walk-through heart at the Museum of Science and Industry. Looking forward to seeing the Old Town exhibit again.

I agree with you. I am so glad and also feel fortunate that I grew up going to those as well. I was born in Chicago, so going there was a must. I love both the Field and the Science. I'd go every day if I could! My Dad worked at the Field taking care of vending and was able to show me some of behind-the-scenes things when I was very little. I'm now in my late 50's. I so miss going with my Dad to all the places in the city.

I will freely admit my bias as a native born Chicagoan, but you're right calling the museums as some of the best in the world. The cafeteria really hit me hard in the nostalgia. I can vividly remember being seven, eight, nine years old and so on eating my lunch with my class in that cafeteria. As for the sculptures being racist, I don't think they are, as I seem to recall that they were commissioned by a scientific study to determine the difference in races. It might have been inspired by racist beliefs, but I don't believe it's racist in and of itself. And I've always said that if you hate everyone equally, it's not racist.

The Museum of Science in Boston is always great and I loved growing up going to it on field trips. I know you have a lot of memberships but you should invest in either an Association of Science and Technology Centers or a North American Reciprocal Museum Association membership given it covers more than 500 museums and science centers around the country and allows you discounts for parking, regular tickets, and ticketed exhibits. When we were museum members as a kid, we could use our membership perks at other museums and zoos

You know, tigers have special sensors
in the front of their two-inch canines.
    They can actually detect
    the pulse in your aorta.
So when they attack, they bite you,
take your pulse with their teeth,
    reposition those suckers and boom,
    there goes your carotid.

The reason why all cats tongue feels bumpy is because they have what looks just the nails you see on their feet which which is made for shredding the meat that they're eating while also chewing with their teet. That why you get scratched when a cat licks you.
