I started with a 1978 RM-125C and immediately bought one of the RM-125X (1981) full floaters when they came out. What a great bike... I have always been a Suzuki guy and a huge fan of Roger "The Man" DeCoster..(who wasn't?).. quick true story: I was doing a pit tour hosted by Bevo Forte at the Atlanta supercross many many years ago.. As we walked through the various factory semis and vans there was Roger, on his knees rolling up a Suzuki tarp. I happened to be wearing my DeCoster jacket so I asked him to sign it. What a great guy..very humble too.. As a rule I avoid meeting any of my "heroes" but this was a delight...
Great video that gives a great view of the the strenghts and weaknesses of the Suzuki RM 125s. Keep up the got work. I had a 87 RM 125, didn't like the handling. It also wasn't very reliable. Actually the only Suzuki, I have had, that weren't reliable. Then I got a 89 RM 125 (loved it). After that 90 RM 125, a great bike with a midrange that kicked like a mule. Very fun to ride, but not as easy to ride as the 89 model.especially its quick low to midrange hit, its ability to turn on a dime and how easy it was to control on jumps. I wish they would start producing them again.
Tecnosel is not a model, it was a graphics company that made seat covers and decals. I’m sure your bike has Tecnosel graphics on it so that is why the name is there.
@@TheMotocrossVault Alright man thanks! At 6:57 in this video is what the bike exactly looks like that I purchased! He said it had a value of around 6000$ I live in Canada so I'm not sure if that 100% accurate
@@dreyn7780 just my personal experience. My friend had the 87 and it was a dog, 91 was good and 92 was better. Loved all of them but the 87 was harder to keep on the pipe. They all handled great
89-92 are my favorite RM's. Even though they quit the blue engine in 89 and the blue frame in 91 they still looked good to me.
Yes my rm is 92
My dad have a brand new 125 back in '91.
Now we rebuild a 250!
Awesome looking bikes.
