I miss the neon 90's, the bikes from that era had character.

yeah dude now you look at a new bike and its boring no cool graphics the 2 stroke is almost gone just generic boring 4 stroke in black or white sad :(

I prefer much more modern Kawasaki's, KTM and that sort of thing to the older ones, they look massively better... I specially love the Kawasaki KX 250F, but no money for it :(...

Indeed the only vibrant bikes I see to this day are Suzuki's ktm and husky. Honda abandoned there vibrant red too some time ago I see. Now it's only in type R cars from them. The old red on any of their 80 and 90s stuff had that same feel gotta admit.

Cole Trick trx250r is cooler than the 250r three wheeler. It’s much faster in the dunes and if you bore it to 330 nothing can beat it. You can make some money off of drag races in the dunes. Also, it’s smart to get the 1986 model because it had the strongest frame. The trx250r just looks cosmetically pleasing also.

Wow! You did an outstanding job restoring this beauty. I'd be willing to bet that it's worth some decent money, especially since it's a one-year bike. I always loved my RM125s from my 1985 (complete with the Full Floater system which performed incredibly smooth) all the way to my last one which was a 2002 model. I swear all I had to do was just think about cornering and the bike would do it for me. Unfortunately a spinal injury ended my hopes of winning the 30+ B class championship and the bike went to my son who decided to give it a very interesting face-lift. 😳

Hey mate, on the 83’ KX80 I just restored there is a dual exhaust tipped silencer. After lots of research I’ve worked out that’s it’s from the company ‘Eliminator’ they sold parts in Aus. I can’t find anything about the company anywhere online. The bike also had a front late from them. Have you heard of them?

Well done mate. I had a new 90 and then a new 95 at the time. Watching this brought back all the memories of the little things that had gone when doing maintenance etc. Both bikes were very similar but the 95 was a step towards the modern riding position. Wish I still had the 95, it would be good enough at club level now with a few trick bits. Riding modern four strokes now. Will watch out for the first ride video!

Nice build, wrong bike. Hate those 90's RM125's. They had no bottom end power, too light flywheels, the carb was awful, had to keep em at full throttle to get anything out of em, motor wouldn't last. The only good thing Suzuki had back then was CCI oil. JMO naturally.
