If I understood well, I actually like Don Lemon's new approach of asking hard questions to the interviewees. That is one of the problems of cable news. They don't ask tough questions to the interviewees because they're afraid they will lose access to them and that the interviewees will not agree to do more interviews. The result is that you have all of these MAGA right-wingers talking bullshit without getting pushback from the journalists. Let's see how Don Lemon's new approach works. I hope it does.

I watched Don’s interview on his channel and I thought he did a superb job of questioning! Watching the part on DEI was interesting. I was in Information Technology from 1967 to 2013 and worked for many big corporations. We had DEI and I never encountered underperforming because of it. I did however watch how they navigated it to ensure their ‘guys’ got the job over people of color and their excuse was the their ‘guy’ was more qualified. I worked with two people of color that I learned a great deal from, were way over qualified and never got the positions they should have. So, this ‘qualified over DEI’ doesn’t fly with me.

This is a really interesting conversation - if we take a step back from the Elon "firing", Don is a journalist and he is exposing the truth of an out of control CEO, media, free speech, a lack of respect for journalism and censorship, as well as retaliation. That is the real story here. I think Don is talking about this way too personally, a blessing in disguise - it's right time, right place - Don's interview brought to light how Elon is out of control and provides the public/businesses an opportunity to decide if they will be on Elon's platform and/or do business with him - he's proven to be unethical and erratic. The Truth always prevails, it may be uncomfortable and always requires courage to stand in integrity and challenges others who don't.

@@gastongeneral6861It had nothing to do with being challenged and everything to do with lemon being a complete and utter prick during the interview. Did you watch it? Did you even listen to it? Lemon was an absolute asshole the entire time. He wasn't interviewing him- he was just trying to get him to say things that would get him in trouble. It wasn't an interview; it was a setup to try and incriminate him. Every question was a "Can we get you in a "gotcha" moment?" Even though musk killed the show, he told lemon to produce the materials From the interview. Point, blank- told him to release the interview ; He's just not going to produce a show that produces that kind of journalism... And you have a problem with that? Sounds like you and lemon are the problem here, not musk.

In my opinion…. Elon Musk skyrocketed Don Lemon’s return. He brought main stream attention to his new show. What could’ve otherwise been a slow and steady start, has become a shot of adrenaline to Don’s new chapter. I don’t pay attention to X, so I found out about Don’s show because of the hoopla created by Musk being a petty bitch. Now I’m subscribed to Don on TH-cam and watched his appearances on other TH-cam channels (CNN too) and look forward to watching Don regularly going forward. Super excited!

Before I watched Don Lemons interview I had mixed feelings about Elon Musk, the interview confirmed what I already really thought. Elon is a giant bellend with some worrisome ideas and too much power and influence in the world. His egotism seeks praise from the general public, unlike other corporate CEO's who mainly keep their mouths shut publicly and avoid saying controversial things that harm their brand. He is also childish and thin skinned and not as clever as he thinks.

If Musk truly wanted FREE SPEECH absolutism and us definitively against censorship then why did he chase away Don Lemon? .... Isn't this the definition of hyper-hypocritical self contradiction?
I am NOT a fan of Don Lemon but seriously Musk shot himself here.
    Edit:
"Freedom of speech is relevant when people you don't like say what you don't like otherwise it has no meaning"... This is what Elon Musk himself said in this exact same interview.
Then proceeds to IMMEDIATELY cancel and remove Don Lemon's Show from of X/ twitter literally ultra-contradicting himself.

I think Elon is brilliant and his contributions to technological advancements are profound. I also think he is on the spectrum ( autism), and his social-emotional interactions and most communication of substance could be challenging and misunderstood and wrong. At times Elon is the most intelligent person in the room with the emotional reasoning of a 2 year old. 😣

Say there’s 100 people doing pilot training, and from that 100, 10 will become pilots. Then imagine 10 of that initial 100 are black. If there’s policies where diversity is a requirement, then half of those 10 people of colour will have to be a part of the final 10 that gets the job. Therefore it’s impossible that the 10 folks from the initial pool of 100 who got the job will NOT be the 10 most competent.
It’s really not that difficult to understand and anyone who pretends that it’s saying the minority folks are less intelligent are being misrepresenting on purpose.

You three seem like such small people here. The entire interview was gotcha and front loaded questions putting words in Elon’s mouth. And after listening to this interview, it’s disappointing you are ridiculing the use of ketamine as a depression medication. Scott, and to a lesser extent, Kara have been bashing Musk for too long while making money off him for their own media purposes. This is why Scott think Lemon had a brilliant interview just rubbing up next to Musk to build his business. Scott is just as egocentric as Musk but not 1/10th as successful so since he can't compete he tries to tear him down. Has Scott ever created anything? Musk does not have good people skills likely due to his dysfunctional background and autism but he has had a stupendous impact on the planet for the good. He can either work at those companies and with products he runs/owns like SpaceX, Tesla, Starlink or deal with these characters blathering on about what they think and it tends to be all about Twitter / X most of the time. My take after listening to them for years is that they are especially offended because Twitter was run by American left as their playground and now it's more open so they are constantly picking at it because they felt they owned that playground. Nothing makes a child more angry then losing their toy and what Scott and to a lesser extent are doing is throwing a tantrum.
Twitter was a dog of a company with massive employee bloat, high expenses vs revenues, developers that were not contributing much code work, and an unabashed woke culture that was happy to run the company to support leftist politicians, activists and the Dem Party views rather than as a large profitable enterprise. So Musk had to cut about 75% of employees. Those employees are understandably ticked off but if they are any good they will get a new tech job. Scott predicted Twitter would not be able to be stay up but lo and behold it is still going. Scott was wrong again. But now he and many on the left, or just scared moderates that don't want to get fired, that are working inside of major corporations are pulling back ad spending from Twitter to make sure it doesn't look like they support Musk and to cut costs. Meanwhile many of those hypocritical companies are firing employees left and right and downsizing just like Musk did with Twitter.
Musk is a complicated figure for sure and deals with his own dysfunctions but the idea behind making Twitter an open platform that is not a tool of either the left or the right should be supported by all people who believe that speech should be free. Instead the outraged left wants to point at bad actors and anecdotes why it needs THEIR version of oversight which is heavy censorship and speech control. The USA must err to the side of freedom and hearing some nutty things but not be aligned in any way with countries where the people live with no control over their lives and in fear. Inside of every person who espouses and sells control and censorship for the good of society is an authoritarian.

For as much as Musk has built.. He’s equally as good at “tearing it down”…. (Which has just started). It’s glorious to watch the “man-baby” lose his stature. it couldn’t happen to a better person……😂😂😂
